this is such a simple issue to resolve. Japanese whalers should stop whaling for a while to let the whale population increase so its no longer considered endagered. Then when the population is back up, start whaling again untill they become endagered again and then continue that cycle. this is such a simple issue to resolve. Japanese whalers should stop whaling for a while to let the whale population increase so its no longer considered endagered. Then when the population is back up, start whaling again untill they become endagered again and then continue that cycle. Iceland is now the largest whaling country. "in 2009, Iceland took 125 fin whales during its whaling season, and Japan took 1 fin whale in its 2008-2009 Antarctic season." (Wikipedia) It means 1 fin whale is killed in every 2 days in Iceland. We should kill all people in Iceland.

why don't the activist just blow up thier whaling ships while thier at the docks, before they even take off to go hunting for those poor creature? I hate those asian people and everytime they kill whales, dogs, cats, and many other animals it makes me hate them more. meat per person. In fact, the Japanese almost don't eat whale anymore.
I know people that travelled to Japan just to eat whale. As long there are
"whale meat tourists", this will never stop. Whaling is wrong.

But still I think the cows and pigs feal that way when there friends or family got killed when they where looking.. It's not fare for the animals to say that the whales are not good to eat because they will hart there fealings :(

@seadrah1 Cows & chickens are not intelligent mammals! Cows or chickens suffer no emotional destress if they are ripped away from their family. Many baby whales will die when their mothers are killed by japs for food! U dont c chickens or cows dieing when they are ripped away from family! First, you are like saying cows and chickens are just something which is for us to eat and they are not animals.
Second, a lot of endangered animals are also less smarter than whales, would you kill to eat ?
Third, a pig is smarter than a dog. Then, would you give up eating pigs and start eating dogs?
Last, I eat meat so I wouldn't stop whaling. State another good reason to stop whaling !

@NagisaKoworu I am unsure how you came to the conclusion that I believe cows & chickens are not animals, because they are. We do eat them because we can have farms in which to reproduce more to eat them but this doesn't make them "not animals".
Second: I do not eat nor will I ever eat an endangered species, regardless of their intelligence-we need to preserve the endangered species

For question 1, I just want to claim that all animals are equal. Saying whales are not to be killed, but cow and chickens are to be killed is not really fair.
For question 2, I'm just using a figure of speech. It's only for claiming for the last comment you said "whale are not to be killed because they are smart."

@NagisaKoworu Last night I watched a "How do they do it" show on tv and they had the baby chicks for chicken made & I must admit it broke my heart & made me not want to eat another chicken, but like you~I love my meat & need it being anemic & all. It is a hard choice but if I could make it my own way the animals we eat would be killed quickly & as humane as possible! I would never wish any type of pain on any animal, regardless of their intelligence.

@NagisaKoworu Whales are not equal, as it takes MUCH longer for them to reproduce. Cows chickens pigs are all bred in captivity=much larger population.

@NagisaKoworu Third, I would like to know how the comparison to eating dogs comes in? A dog is a pet we keep in our homes, we do not keep cows or chickens in our homes as pets. If I did have a pet pig I would prob stop eating any type of Pork (which I don't eat much to start with)

@NagisaKoworu Last, many of the whales that are killed for you to eat are endangered and cannot reproduce due to their mating calls not being heard over the loud ships that go all over the ocean. We cannot reproduce whales to the masses as we can cows & chickens and if they are all killed off it will be a huge impact on our eco system not to mention our future generations that will miss the beautiful majesty of these whales!
