  • I agree with most of your strategy. Although I don't like how you throw away your low pocket pairs. A better way of playing those would be to see the flop with any reasonable bet. After flop, no set no bet. Good chance of a huge payout if you flop your set; which should happen a little over 10% of the time. What do you think?

  • trying to get a community site going at pokerbackroom. I have personally posted some hands that I need some advice on if anyone can help me out.

  • Flatting the turn and then leading the river with the flush makes it really easy to put you on a flush in my opinion. I see something like KJ (made 2 pair on the river check -calling). I'm sure the guy you're playing against isn't that sophisticated, but I think you need to check-raise the turn if you have any chance of getting more money off him. plus there's so many potential scare cards possible on the river for many of his potential holdings. i duno just my opinion.

  • yes, that would most likely put someone on a flush for me.

  • just like you're sitting around calling and checking and then an ace comes on the river and you start betting like hell. everybody's gonna fold cause they know you've got something good involving aces.

  • whenever i play i hear your voice narrating everything now

  • thanks freaky...is that working for ya?

  • Your voice so so sleeeeeepy.... U other job is babysiting or something?

  • hahaa wtf

  • "34 trash. . . unless you're jamie gold" :D:D:D

  • Right, but the odd for the average poker player would be 1:10 'cause its easier to remember.

  • very good analysis - pity you don't multi table though...

  • a-7 flush played bad.

You should have reraised him on the turn or call, check and hope he bet out on the river.

  • BOOOOORRRIIINNNNGGGGGGGG

  • That's right he should cutout the irrellevant hands.

  • WOW I WAS ON THE EDGE OF MY SEAT

  • Zzzz what were we meant to learn watching this? Play your cards?

    Boring.

  • LOL @ 34 offsuit.. thats trash.. unless ur jamie gold.. so true lol.. this guy is pretty solid.. i use pretty much the same strategy but im sitting lower stakes right now. around 5 dollars.. bad beats are rough right now though :(

  • This comment is about the heads up match between a Extreme Loose Donkey VS a Red Fish. Major problem and leak here , its at 1:27m:

  • I enjoy this tutorial, i am new to online poker, and am slowly starting to play small amounts. I enjoyed you hitting the ace high flush and you facing a bet. It's one of those moments :)

  • good job of ignoring the immature posts on this site. In every crowd, someone has to boost their own ego by finding fault with someone else. Goodness, the same thing occurs when someone has a gaming video on this thing.

  • Finding faults is not bad. I want to know the facts and 72 take it well. So keep them coming.

  • great tutorial.

  • you need to speak up. maybe liven up the mono-tone voice you got goin on

  • If the odds that you run into KK is 1/221, then the odds that they run into AA is 1/221. The odds that both of you run into them in the same hand... 2/442 or 1/221

  • I would like to know where those stats come from...

  • what program did u use to recorder the video???

  • Its called MyScreenRecorder.. there are a bunch of others as well. Camtasia is another.

  • You play very well, but when you had the A7s you bet over 80% of the pot on the river with the absolute nuts. Why not throw out a value bet to sucker more chips?

  • Your right.. that was an overbet. I was thinking he made a weaker flush but in retrospect a value bet would be a better play..Good observation.. it's key for poker.. GL

  • That's right. It's important to make small bets, and not get too greedy. Most players tend to overbet in these situations.

  • its also important to take a pot down when you can.....odds mean nothing. You can get screwed any hand so just take it down while you can.....theres enough idiots out there to call your nuts with terrible hands

  • depending on how tight/loose that player is on this hand, he may have had top pair or 2nd to top pair. Since there was a 9,J,Q,K on the board; most people would notice that having a 10 would make a straight, and given his position to call a bet thats 80% of the pot he was probably thinking you got lucky and hit a straight...imagine how much money you would have got if that last card wasnt a Jack.

  • I was thinking the same thing. I assume he hit one pair. I liked the check on the turn, this often confuses opponents. I even think another check on the river may have induced another bet...(if hes a dope), although probably a small bet is the right option. Compelled to call with a made hand and chance of re-raise bluff

  • u play good but should have check raised on the turn when u had flush because he was chasing but u couldnt have known that nice vid

  • I could've known that

  • Just watched this, and I didn't see any play that show specifically a 'tight' image. You played about 50% of the hands we saw there... Just wondering about this..

  • sure.. If you notice in this section, the only hand I play when not in a blind is pocket 10's on the button. I fold KJ to a limp and A2 when folded to me. Loose players will often play hands like this during the 1st orbit when blinds are cheap. I do happen to be involved in a few winning hands near the end of this section, in one I cautiously play top pair on the turn and the other I slow play a made flush.

  • He sais that he pauses during boring play

  • thanks, i stupidly did the same all in with QQ against an initial raise only to be met with KK, carbon copy of that really (chips were fading fast and finished one place outside the money after 2hrs play :(. even QQ against a AK is at best an even money shot to the river. thanks for the reply.

  • would you have re-raised with the QQ before the flop, that got beaten by the AA? seems that the 11/1 shot for an overpair against QQ happens more often than the odds suggest.

  • Hi Donie,

I am just calling in that situation, with 2 callers and a re-raise to the initial raise and out of position. I would lead out on the flop and have a difficult decision when he shoves the aces over the top. If I had a guess, I would say one of the initial callers folded a small pair to the QQ shove that would have made a set and won. Hard to have a good read on a random opponent that early in the sng. I do often see hands with Multiple High Pocket Pairs.

  • lol.. I just noticed I woulda won with the 56, but not a play i would ever make. have a good day

  • Do I have to play whit real money on Vegas Poker?

  • you can play with real or play money. I like the site for sng's. have a great day.

  • How is this Site? I know this is a Skin of Absolute Poker..How do you like it so far?
