  • VERRRRRY GOOD VIDEO!!!!! GOD BLESSINGS !!!!!!!

  • We lost our mom 3 years ago (not to forget my 20 y. o. bro)...but we are determined to start from scratch and live happiest, healthiest lives in the best of our abilities. I'm glad I came across you and your sisters' channels...they will truly help me in my journey to living out my Destiny! Which of course is my name as well. <3

  • Ms. V, I have to say this....but you are such an inpiration and encouragement to me. I love your beautiful spirit. Thank you so much for all of the valuable information. I have recently started following you a few weeks ago and I so excited about all the vids and info you post...esp those in the future. I'm so glad I watched this vid before the new year began. I will be 24 and taking care of my 16 y. o. brother. ..cont...

  • If only people knew what "organic" farmers were fertilizing their veggies with...YACK! I have switched to grass fed meat and am very happy with the results. Good job with being a somewhat conscious consumer.

  • Nice. :) I dont eat red meat. Haven't for 9 yrs. I'm looking to. Cut out the Turkey next. Then chicken. Chicken will be last. Love my yard bird. Lol.. bless u.

  • Hey SoRHOr! I'm just deciding to go pescetarian and I wanted to know how you deal with cooking for other people who don't have the same diet (ex. your boyfriend, family, etc.)

  • I absolutelyyyyyyy love this video! Although I still eat most meats, I'm VERY conscious of eating healthy and making sure my body is in great health. This video has really made me think on a LOT! I appreciate you making this

  • I am very glad to see more black women stepping away from meat & becoming more healthier, because one will definitely see changes in attitude, body & mind.I hope everyone is encourage to restrain from meat one day in their lives. As for me I am vegan and noticing how many wants to try that diet is a delight. I will admit that you have to self motivated, self dedicated, and doing it for yourself because going out to eat can be challenging, because not many restaurants cater to vegans!

  • great video.i eat a lot more fish, vegetables, fruits and i am a lot more regular, feel healthier and my waist went down 2" in 8 days from eating really clean.

  • I'm a pescatarian too, thinking of transitioning to vegan but I am a small girl and I am afraid to lose too much weight :-/ I don't shrimp, lobster or crab though.

  • I have been practicing a pescetarian diet since mid July. I started off on a week long raw veggie detox and incorporated seafood starting week 2.its helpful for me.keep it up.

  • I also was strongly considering pescaterian/vegetarian diet bcuz after taking a nutrition class and seeing all the veggies I was leaving out of my diet and replacing it with meat, I kinda wanted to eliminate meat altogether. It also said that vegetarians are the most healthy. Can u make recipe vids plz? And those dishes sound good.

  • Hello my sis is studying to be a massage therapist and she also said the same that medicine is prescribed to patients to treat problems that a massage can treat. Very interesting.

  • Thank you so much for posting this video. I've been practicing a pescetarian diet since mid June. I started off on a week long raw veggie detox and incorporated seafood starting week 2. My plan was to incorporate chicken during week 3 and beef during the 4th week using better portion sizes, but I ended up sticking with the seafood. Something made me feel like I need to stick with this for a while, I'm not sure if I'll ever go back to meat. We need 2 take better care of ourselves, it's important

  • While your fashion and hair videos are great, this video is the reason I subscribed! Even in mainstream nutrition, it is scientifically confirmed that the overwhelming majority of people can PREVENT type 2 diabetes, hypertension, and even some cancers through lifestyle choices (healthy diet, exercise, minimizing or eliminating smoking and alcohol consumption).

Our quality of life is in our own hands!

BTW, Netflix has many health/nutrition documentaries.

    Great video, thanks for sharing.

  • if you like MY DIET ROUTINE you will like TOP 25 UNIQUE VIDEOS

  • I've tried that diet for a while, overall I have lost 115lbs. I posted details of my journey at GlamSmartz.

  • I have been trying the lifestyle since February (or March) of this year and I love it! So many people don't understand and often question "How do you do it?" LOL! I don't miss the land animals in my system not one bit! Thankx for the vid Sis!

  • Great video !

  • Go Pescetarians! I consider it to be one of the best decisions that I have ever made. So much so, that I now work for a university teaching about local food! Absolutely love the lifestyle. Kudos to you!

  • Can you do a tutorial for the french braid that you did on Meechy Monroe's hair? When she was dressed as an Avatar and you were the joker costume video

  • thanks for posting the video:) just watched it cause it´s saturday morning and I thought this is the right time to watch all the videos I can´t during the week cause there´s just no time to lol

I was talking to my bf on that yesterday that I need to eat more healthy food so with your information additional I really think I should eat more seafood! cause I want to lose weight but then again get rid of my itchy scalp! I just don´t want it to win over me and break my heart!

    thanks for sharing :)

  • Thanks for posting Ms. Vaughn! I too am a Pescetarian and so many people ask me what it is, and the difference between that and vegetarianism. It's awesome that you took the time to break all of them down like this. I've been a Pescetarian for about a year now and I also saw that Food Inc. Documentary. My older brother has been a Veg for 16 years. He came to visit me in Korea, asked me to try it for 2 weeks and I haven't gone back since. I saw a TREMENDOUS difference in the way I look and feel!

  • You really have inspired me I have really wanted to change my eating habits and overall improve my health. Thanks for the video.

  • What lipstick are you wearing?

  • It's good to hear from a variety of sources because I've heard nonsense from both sides. It's also important to look at WHERE not just the WHAT of good. GMO and factory farm chicken that is the norm today is really different from what my parents were used to having on their table. Bioaccumulation of pesticides and other toxins factor in a lot more than some sources will admit.

  • One's skin is their 3rd kidney, the cellular acid wastes that can't get processed through the lymph system/kidneys comes out the skin in many forms including acne. Eating alkaline foods such as fruit keeps your lymph flowing by keeping it from getting thick and coagulated.

  • I just seen a video on meet your meat and I was sooooo disgusted I already don't eat cow or pig but that video just scarred me for life so I'm going vegan. I'm going to start heading into vegetarian first then just everything else. But learning about animal cruelty just makes you want to go organic everything. But wish me luck great vid

  • @avirtuouswomenguide OMG good luck! I totally understand how you feel.

  • Thank you so much for this video!!! I have been searching for a lifestyle diet that I can actually maintain and this is definitely it!! I am from New Orleans, so I absolutely love seafood, and I've already cut red meats from my diet, so this would not be a big adjustment for me :) I appreciate the info you shared in the video. I am also doing some additional research on the diet because I like to be as thorough as possible when starting something new, especially a diet. But thanks again!!!!!

  • You are so intelligent!

  • I just began the pescetarian diet last month and I have NO plans of eating meat. I'm so glad you reloaded this video! This new diet/lifestyle has allowed me to try different kinds of foods/restaurants and I'm so happy I decided to do this.

    -KT

  • I've been a pescetarian for 2 1/2 years and I have no regrets. I too lost inches especially in my waist and I have more energy overall.

  • I can't wait until I graduate with my BSN. Right now, I live with my family, so I don't have the finances as a college student to choose what I eat. But, we do eat fish, sometimes. Once I graduate and start working as a nurse, I'll definitely make a priority to change my diet, I've always wanted to become a pescatarian/ have a mediterreanian diet. I've taken nutrition, and our nutritionist professor eats the way you do! But yeah, I can't afford it at the momment, hopefully I will, one day!

  • what movies/documentaries did you watch concerning nutrition. I am asking because I want to watch them too, I am considering!! thanks for the help! Love ya!

  • @simpletimes12 Food, Inc. (2008), Sicko (Michael Moore, 2009), Food Fight (2008), Fresh (2009), Killer at Large (2008), King Corn (2007), Super Size Me (2004), The Garden (2008), The Future of Food (2004), Food Stamped (2010), to name a few... enjoy!

  • @MsVaughnTV thank you sooo much!!! I will make sure to watch them!!

  • t@simpletimes12 i am so glad you ask that, I can on here today just to ask MsVaughnTV that same question. Good looking out

  • Thanks for Sharing this Vaughn! Very Helpful and useful information! I feel all inspired now..Maybe Ill actually DO something about it! ♥ it! Formerly Kclair09 just so u kno.

  • Can I like this video 300 times... love it...

  • You're so intelligent and well-spoken.

  • this was a very informative video, def put some thoughts in my mind.

  • I've thought of becoming a pescetarian for a while now. After watching your video I think I'm one step closer. Thanks for informing the public.

  • Food Inc got me to thinking and why is some of that stuff even legal?

  • ever since i watched your first video on your diet, i was interested in going pescetarian. after a month or so, i made the decision and i've been going strong for two months now. (: it's tough, but i think it's the best decision i've made about my body since i stopped drinking soda a year ago!

  • Great vid! I used to drink soy milk but stopped when I learned that over 80% of the soy in the US has been genetically modified. I've since switched to almond milk which is just as good.

  • there is also the raw food diet which can be either vegetarian or vegan..except none of the food is cooked sometimes its steamed but from what i understand its still considered raw if its cooked at temps 100degress and below.

  • Its true that pharmaceuticals companies make money on medicine; BUT as a physician, I can say we tell patients upfront to make better food choices and exercise and thus some conditions mild HTN, HLD, and DM can be controlled without medicine.

  • @msdswill If your practice tells patients about preventative options upfront, we need more practices that will do that. I am in pretty good health, but I have a family history of many preventable diseases. I haven't had one physician tell me to eat a certain way, or discuss better food choices. But when my blood pressure was getting high, we had a good 7min conversation about the medicines I may need to take. And physicians are paid by the pharmaceutical companies to prescribe certain Rx.

  • @curliegirl09 I think all patients should be told that, but to be honest a lot of patients do not listen. That is not entirely true that physicians get paid by pharmaceutical companies. Private practice physicians may receive dinners and free drug samples, but not cash money. Residents and academic institutions (which I am in) cannot accept endorsements from pharmaceutical companies (they cannot take dinners, free drug samples, pens, etc).

  • @curliegirl09 Most of the drugs that are prescribed are based on the hospital/institution formulary. Doctors have no control over that. We get paid for office visits, procedures, etc. I In fact at my institution, we commonly put patients on generics (Walmart $4, Target, etc) to spare the patient the cost of more name brand drugs. We do not benefit one bit by prescribing drugs. In fact drug reps have a bad name in medicine to an extent, we dont like being pressured to give into any one med

  • Thanks for the information!!! You've definitely given me something to think about...I'm inspired to improve my diet!!! Thanks!!!

  • Ms Vaughn thank you.... I greatly appreciate you sharing this information. I didn't know that there was a title for this type of eating habit. I have wanted to decrease my meat intake, but didn't want to go without any meat. Thank you for talking about it.

  • Great information Ms Vaughn. I don't eat red meat at all but I've been fighting the chicken/turkey thing. Not so much that I crave it but my little one won't eat a lot of things and I want to make sure she gets the right nutrients and protein. I'm going to try salmon with her this month and see how she likes it. Thanks for the info.

  • so do u eat and chicken?

  • How often do you eat fish or seafood in a week as far as making your meals? Great Video!!

  • @lilallnatural1 I probably eat seafood about once a week, on average. Most of what I eat is vegetarian.

  • Great vid! Hubby and I have been doing Meatless Mondays for the last 7-8 months and its a huge help to our diet. We also don't eat pork. Most people don't realize how easy it is to change your diet and not include meat. Choosing 1-2 days to not include it is a great way to wean yourself off of so much meat.

  • I appreciate you sharing this info. I recently embarked on a journey to live healthier lifestyle. This is all great info!

  • Been a "Pescetarian" since my freshman year in college -- 19 years ago *gasp* - lol.

  • Vaugn, if you are interested check out theppk.com (Post Punk Kitchen) there are alot of vegeterian recipes and cook books available.

  • Thanks Vaughn...this was very insightful!

  • Wow. This is how my family and I have been eating in the past year since I found out beef and other meats stay in your system way too long. Didn't know it had a name.

  • I truly enjoyed this vid. My son has changed his diet and I'm interested in dif meal choices. Please do more vids like this one.

  • Thank you for such great information! I'm working on transitioning to become a pescetarian.... I tried starting in the beginning of August by going cold turkey but EPIC FAIL ='( But I'm not giving up, so now I have been weaning off slowly but surely....Hopefully by the end of this year, God willing, I can truly call myself a pescetarian.

  • Funny they finally assigned a name this this..I have followed this diet for the past 5 years..2 years prior to that I was a vegetarian and consumed dairy products..my metabolism was lacking along with my hair skin and nails so I started to introduce fish after 2 years..it has been a totally of 7 years for me w/o meat and there have been no regrets with minimal cravings.

    Best of luck to you!!

  • @cuteitkle Merriam Webster incorporated this term in 1993, I believe. Fairly recent.

  • Thanks for sharing! I used to be laco/ovo/pesceterian for 10 years. I am thinking about returning to that lifestyle. The only issue was that I was often anemic and had to get B12 shots but I have more knowledge now, and I can make better choices. I just stopped eating meat one day. Just like that. And I went to a BBQ that day LOL. When I got pregnant with my first child guess what I craved? Chicken! Haha! I've been eating meat since then (almost 6 yrs) but I'm kinda over it now :-/

  • Thank u for this video. I have not eaten pork in years du to a book I read. My hubby refuses to stop but I won'teat it nor will Ifeed it to my kids. I agree whole heartedly with changing the diet like 2 yrs ago I had an issue with my bp and it was so high the dr wanted me 2 take meds my weight was up diet poor I asked for 30 days 2 lose weight & change my diet I had to lose 10lbs by the time I returned or meds needless to say I WON! I continue to lose now but had stalled but now i will continue
