@camaroking250 Methanol or meth is racing fuel. None of the modern day ethanol trash.

@camaroking250 it injects water into the engine. that helps cool the cylinders. the water has a percentage of alcohol i it, thus raising the octane of the fuel.

It's amazing you can get a 6.0L gasser to run that well. The POS that I just traded in could barely get out of it's own way, or figure out what gear it wanted to be in (2008 SIerra 2500). Upgraded to a DMax.

Is it legal in the states to drive around every day on Methanol fuel if one can afford it? (guessing mileage is lower and its more expensive than pump gas right?)

What does it take to drive this roadlegally?..do you need a permit to fit the engine or can you just "plug-n-drive" it?..any special insurence/license needed to drive it?

It's all in how you drive the truck! This is a customers truck and at the time the tranny was stock. I'm sure that eventually you will have to strengthen it but as long as it is low boost (8 psi or so) I have seen them last a long time.

There is a point, The Methanol makes the air denser which means that you can get a little but more aggressive on the tuning and not see any detonation specially with a higher compression motor. The colder the air charge the more timing you can add and the more power you will make.
