  • Anyone pick up on the barcode on the cover?, a subtle hint to the albums beneficiary may be?.

  • Combination maybe amazing , but guys already exhausted

  • BOOORRRRING.

  • haven't really liked anything the orb has done since "adventures beyond the ultraworld"..which was certainly a masterpiece. I'm left feeling a little underwhelmed by this..but i have to say the production is almost epic, and it's hard to say anything negative about david gilmour......

  • let's cut the crap and do some PF music. We are PF fans for god sake.

  • @ma16360 This isn't Pink Floyd mate. if you want to listen to pink floyd go to one of their videos.

  • Words ruin it - wtf do NOT believe in those fancy words?

  • This is the dream team of ambient. Two of my all time favorite artists collaborating on one awesome piece of music. WOW.

  • I prefer when Gilmour and his solos guitar are the main of the band...

  • Never will be like Pink Floyd!! NEVER

  • @shefow it's not ment to be like pink floyd.

  • Drums at 2:57 sampled from Led Zep "All My Love".

  • @PutItAway101 sounds more like "learning to fly".

  • @MrChampManager only a little bit. LIsten to the drums-only outtake of All My Love on youtube and you'll see it's exactly what they sampled here.

  • @PutItAway101 absolutely! definately John Bonham being sampled there. No doubt at all.

  • Pink Floyd: The first ever electronic band

  • sorry fully fledged druqks upped wanker

  • David Gilmour is one of those lucky people who have earned the point in their career when they can try anything. And this experiment has come off really well. There may never be another solo album or tour but I hope he continues to do projects like this

  • best team-up that has ever existed.

  • Bonham-sounding drums start at 2:56. Sounds like a backing beat to a track off 'In Through The Out Door'.

  • @celticbro28 Yes....... is BONHAM !!!!!!!!!!!

  • @Sbavni

    John BONHAM ?!

  • Is it me, or does that drumming sound like John Bonham? Is that a sample of his, or somebody playing a similar Ludwig kit! Coz I SWEAR that sounds like Bonham!

  • music should take you on a journey, right now, im miles away from home and reality, job done :) thank you mr gilmour&patterson

  • JUST HADE SEX TO THIS SONG. : )

  • I have my cd on the way and can hardly wait for Mr. Gilmour's message with orb.

  • Any time you hear Mr. Gilmour's name on something, you know it's good. This is no exception.

  • It's interesting if ? ... SIR David would have the same electonics equipment as he has now....? compare to what Pink Floyd had use and had build, in their begining... WHAT do you think Pink Floyd would sound like now ? ? in the year 2011....? and IF YOU are disappointed !! ... Then u had to be born in the 80's or may be the 90's Then your comments means......... SHIT TO ME......!

  • im severely disappointed, i was really excited to hear that David did something new and that it was ELECTONIC

    but there's no substance whatsoever

the entire thing is a big transition between... nothing

one of the things that set Pink Floyd, and thus David Gilmour apart was the amazing transitions between the songs, it made every album a journey.

but this has no actual music.

  • @THELASTCLICHE I couldn't agree more. This sounds just like some pieces of songs that were threw in togheter, nothing special. The most amazing thing about Pink Floyd albums was exactly what you said: the transitions between different songs and rithyms. Every album was a story, a journey.

  • @THELASTCLICHE. a momentary laps of sound indeed ..

  • how is it that anything that david gilmour touches turns to gold?

  • just ordered the double disc limited blu-ray import japanease edition w/ 2 unreleased tracks

  • By the way, which side is this? Metallic, or Spheres? Thanks.

  • @LMMEjsmith metallic, its about 8 minutes or so in actually

  • On the second day of Christmas, youtube gave to me: two trolls a-trolling!

  • @worldcitizenforever si estoy llorando porque tu puta madre me mordio el pito.... jajaja? Buahhh? No seas mamon a poco tanta risa? La verdad que eres un gran pendejo.

  • @worldcitizenforever si tanto te gusta Fripp entonces vete mil veces a chingar a tu puta changa madre a otro lugaro pendejo. Pinche idiota. Ponte a pensar para la otra bestia, animal....Ya vete a mamarle la verga a tu pinche esposo Fripp.....

  • @worldcitizenforever fuck you idiot that is just your opinion pinche pendejo hijo de toda tu puta madre baboso estupido hijo de mil putas. Juego con tu puta madre perro.

  • @worldcitizenforever fuck you mother fucker just because i don't know who the fuck he is doesn't mean I don't know music you stupid presumptious cunt face cock sucking fucking faggot.

  • @worldcitizenforever who the hell is Fripp?

  • Sorry, I dont think this is very good... David's singing is out of key I believe...

  • light em up kiddies

  • I think David Gilmour and Infected Mushroom must to create something very psychedelic and great!!!

  • Many used to say Clapton was God with a guitar. He is good, but Gilmour is the real God of music and guitar.

  • I love Gilmour but... not very good... :(

  • @PRSpl4yer only the gilmour parts are good...the last bit on this track is all gilmour i enjoyed it alot.

  • Is this the same Orb that mixed a Marillion album 10 years ago or so?

  • This work gets a mixed reception and it is fair enough, it is experimental and not standard for either one of these guys. But it is an interesting collaboration and a fusion of two genres

  • Nice Work but the Cover looks like a mega Fleshlight my first thougt about that thing was taht it looks like a new designed Luxury Fleshlight

  • Its not bad but its probably the worst thing either artist has done.

  • @rts4761 anything by gilmour is worth a listen

  • p.s. this collaboration reached at cosmic level....!!!!!

  • LONG LIVE DAVID & ORB & ROGER...& NICK... !!!! RIP RICHARD WRIGHT !! Now, before putting trash-comments on this MIRACLE ! GETTA f~~k outTTA here U bunch of gaga f~~~kers.....NOW ! look for your fast-food-music & l...ck your monitor with paris hilton behind....U dummy donkey junk f~~~ers ! NOW !

  • @sam0xin Lighten up will ya. It's true what people have said, this is good but it's far Dave's best. He could have made it so much better as could have the Orb.

  • what a Spheres............wo0O0ow

  • I like the music quite a bit..a little less keen on the intro vocals.

  • And the thing that I think is amazing is that Dave is just as good on a steel guitar as he is on a regular 6 string.

  • Gilmore puts the art back into music.

What an amazing combination. Original and progressive artists coming together to create proper music. We need more art and expression in the music industry. Thank god for these dudes and a few other true UK creatives like Radiohead, Gary Numan, Brian Eno, Tricky, Massive Attack, Scroopius Pip, Leftfield, Juno Reactor, Unkle, AllFlaws

  • @TheSpudnic Why is Richard D James not included in UK creatives? :O

  • @TimeForBold because that man has absolutely no creativity at all ldo

  • @maxdistort Do you understand electronic music at all?

  • @TimeForBold Yes I do in fact. Do you understand sarcasm at all?

  • @maxdistort Sorry, but sarcasm is hard to pick up in a one sentence youtube comment with very little description.

But thank god it was sarcasm.

  • Anybody remember a group from the 90's called Enigma?? sound s familiar this

  • I HAD NO IDEA THAT SONGS LIKE THIS STILL EXISTED!

I thoght that the days of artistic creativity were over, and we were doomed to a life of 3 minute pop songs

  • @MrKermit09 well then you must have been living a life were you only watch viva and listen to Radio one :)

  • in the present climate in this country, this for me is a welcome listen ,and will ease the pain for a short while at least .

  • I think the first track is a bit to generic but after that it grabbed me and I liked it. Just will have to skip that first track I guess, shame otherwise it really good!!! Will most definately have to get! Good to see Gilmour still at it!

  • LA BUENA MUSIKA NO ES EL PRIVILEGIO DE ALGUNOS..... LO ES TODO!

  • :-)))))))

  • infact... its all shite

  • fucking shite opening track

  • wowwwww apenas salió el disco hace menos de una semana y ya pusieron una rola en youtube,,, yeaaaa eso es todo

  • Damn, I think that it's my next purchase, too bad that it's going to be hard to get this one, at least in my country!

  • Amazing and awesome, probably my next purchase!!!

  • Pass the RIZLA!

  • Love the track that comes in around 3 mins, I've got to get this album today

  • Instantly sold. Well played, Mr. Gilmour

  • This is great. Long live The Orb.

  • the most important album to be released for the past 10 years.

  • @41tattooman

It's great, but why is it important?

  • @MonkeyInAHumanSuit because Mr Gilmour decided to grace us with his music once again, that's why

  • @Rozq87

There are things that are way more important in life, but I totally get your happiness with the release of this album!

  • @MonkeyInAHumanSuit point taken :)

    cheers

  • @MonkeyInAHumanSuit he said "the most important album," not the most important thing in life. Now let's just listen :)

  • @badshans You're right. But I was referring to the fact that there are way more important things in life than albums that are deemed to be important, but this is not important.

    All cool... :-))

  • @MonkeyInAHumanSuit cool :)

  • @MonkeyInAHumanSuit Not only that, but The Orb's music has often been regarded as "taking off where Pink Floyd left off". They make many references or sometimes outright sampling of Pink Floyd in their own music, especially the early stuff ("The Orb's Adventures Beyond The Ultraworld", or "U.F.Orb" etc.).
