i am not clear on something here. It says music was by Shantanu Moitra, whom I am a big fan of but the song is originally an old traditional local song from Bangladesh. Shouldn't the due credit for the music be given to the original composer of the song? Yes Shantanu Moitra's name could be there for the remix/remake effort of the original song into the jingle but to people who don't know about this bit of information, it may be misleading.

Unfortunately I don't know who wrote the song as I have always known it as a traditional piece. If you know who the original creator of the song is, kindly enlighten me. Thanks.

Thik-i bolechhen, eta bangladeshi ad. But it was created by Bates, Kolkata for Marico Bangladesh. Gaan-ta Sylheti-i, very famous song... all Bengalis grew up listening and dancing to it.
