@510g no you gotta get a Region Free DVD Player. You can get one off Amazon. Apparently there are certain "region hacks" codes for select US DVD players. but these can never be trusted, however you may get lucky if you check them out for your specific player model.

I picked up a great quality bootleg DVD boxed set at a bazaar in Iraq in February 2008. Only problem was that the first episode would freeze up. Shao Kahn's voice was cooler early on. I remember watching this on TNT in the late 90's, and I always thought it was the best representation of the characters and story line outside the game. Meek definitely made the show work as Raiden and more importantly as Shao Kahn. Great stunt work and entertainment! 5 stars, Sir. Hope all is well in Australia!

The Shao Khan in this series was badass. Far better than one in movies. He just looks and acts like a proper emperor. Calm (most of the time) and in control, and sure of himself and especially dark (unlike in Anihilation where he acts like a football player on horse hormones). He looks even more necromantic than Quan Chi. Some good characters in this series.

I found one minor mistake in this first episode. Before the final battle, Kahn told Tsung that if he defeat Kung Lao, Earth would finally be his domain meaning that Outworld would need that last victory to claim Earth but if they only need one more victory to claim Earth, then wouldn't it be strange that Earth is still unclaim when Goro did defeated Kung Lao in the next MK tournament according to the storyline?

it has to be 10 straight victories earthrealm only has to win once every 10th generation so therefore no though its only like 100 generations or something between the great kung lao and liu kang 500 years 20 years per generation 500 genrations.

this is 500 years ago so all the characters we know arnt born yet.

im a Scorpion/Sub Zero fan...and one thing i dont understand is,ok, kung lao kills Scorpion in this series,but in the original Mk story is Sub-Zero that got orders from Quan chi to kill Scorpion and his family,so i guess they should have stayed in the real storyline at least for Scorpion and Sub Zero..and in episode 15 ,Scorpion and Sub apear fighting each other like if it wasnt kung lao that killed Scorpion at the beggining..it got a little messed up,but i love the seires after all!

You are a bit confused, in the game story Sub-Zero kills Scorpion, Quan Chi kills Scorpions family and Clan. Hence that is why Scorpion is after Sub-Zero, he thinks SZ killed his family and clan as well as him.

I actually had the pleasure to be on the set of MK Conquest for weeks. I lived 10 mins away from Disney Orlando. I was attending a special Film class which was held in the MK set weekly in the evenings. Anyhow, I met the whole cast. It was cool!

I saw this show when it first came out on TV in 1998. After the 17th episode or 19th episode, I stopped watching it cause I didn't see Liu Kang cause and they kept showing clips from the first two films, and it confused me
