@alan1950 One tip for when the train leaves the engine is allways tender first and off the end of the platform. Also theres not much to do in mallaig and theres only about 4 trains a day !

Not much to do in Mallaig as you say, but, I can recommend the fish and chips from the chippy opposite Spar (just up the hill towards the school), best fish and chips in Scotland. :-)
