@xmodrock pathetic? I think not, being the first vehicle to make it through a tough pit after about 14 trucks didnt make it through, and being the overall winner until the final heat, it does pretty damn good, especially since it had to run against 38s, and he only runs 33s. Not bad at all for a samuri.
@xmodrock 12000rpm, extremely light weight, inexpensive to build, and its something different, most people can't think outside the box and steer away from a 350 engine. Believe it or not, he runs against small blocks every weekend, and at nearly every race he is in the top 3. Call it what you want, but it works.
@xmodrock now there, I will absolutly agree with you LOL. I run the yellow '79, and would never trade it for something smaller, slower, or quieter LOL
@mudfreak79 yah but big blocks are anchors in the mud. If ya want a light high torque motor build a 434 stroker. Im a chevy guy as ya can see. 600 hp is obviously goin to be better in a small block rather than 600 hp in a big block. Only time I think it would be worth puttin a big block in a mud racer is if its all aluminum then that would be one bad bitch!
@gmcbigrig79 I disagree, every points champion up here is running a big block, including myself, why run a 600HP sb when you can make 900+HP with a BB. The weight doesnt really matter as much in a truck as it does with a rail, but even the majority of them are running big blocks.
@beusabulb ITS SOUTH OF TOWN JUST PAST THAT TRAILER COURT THATS ON THE WEST SIDE OF THE ROAD DOWN IN THE GRAVEL PIT, jUNE 19TH THIS YEAR, i PLAN TO BE THERE.
Is a 532 the same block as a 460? Is that bored .60 over? I have a 460 as well and hear about the great gains you get from boring em, can't say I havent thought about it myself. I just wish I knew more about it.
LOL You might as well just throw on some 20" tires up front and some slicks in the back...and go do wheelies down the drag strip LOL Awesome man i love watching that ford..Maybe next event you can try it in reverse, give us slow fucks a chance :D
i love the mud bogs here in town. cant wait for this years.
