  • u can also learn this art form in Mumbai also

  • Amarish I am sumesh ,

I missed your number because I lost my phone

I wish to contact you what is Ambarish s Email

I red a lot of arguments about kalarippayattu

One thing I can specify here a hand kerchief can make injury than a brick may be people don't know about that.

  • I know indians are proud of their heritage and so call this a real martial art. IT IS NOT AN EFFECTIVE FIGHTING METHOD, more of a dance. Yes its good to have flexibility and speed, but imagine if you had muscle mass on top of that?. This style would not last in a real fight, the fact that there is no kalari so called fighter in any recognised credible competition proves this. I compare it to capoeira, which also does not perform well in a mixed martial arts fight. Leave it to the women folks.

  • Just for ur info full contact kalari competions use to be held in kerala were the ultimate result use to be death of an opponent...thats why it was stopped..u dont need muscle mass to fight....instead of thinking shit watch bruse lee movies...u cannot build muscles around ur eyes can u.or ur balls... there are 152 points in ur body like thats so muscles dont help againt a person who knows what he is doing...

  • Bollocks. Muscles are required to move, you need a good balance of muscle mass, not too much but enough to give a good blow. Bruce lee also used to weight train (fact), and did not believe in this type of bullshit. The eyes also have muscles, how do you think you can move your eye ball, and so does your dick, how else do you get erection. What would hurt more, a feather thrown at you very fast or a brick. Obviously the one with more mass. Think about it.

  • what are you talking about! kalari uses speed, accuracy and flexibility that could inflict deadly force. And kalari uses vital points to attack which is much more dangerous. And trust me, they are fit as a fiddle compared to the capoeira martial artist.

  • Shut your hole!!! who gives a rats ass... You are missing the point...

  • you are not too well informed, i must say. you should try to give it a go and confront someone who is trained in the barehand southern style to test your vague theory.

  • @lalamusa1 ??

Alexander the Great brought this art to India.

Achilles and Spartans fought in this manner.

not effective.....they are legendary for there fighting skills.

all those twirl movements are sword and shield fighting.also used for grappling.

old combat has many hidden things...only learned thru training....you cant understand it by watching them.

  • @kenshin420jj Its gay. Thats all.

  • @lalamusa1 its not gay to rip a man's head off =)

  • @kenshin420jj Ripping a mans head off is impossible, no man has the strength. Kalari sangam remains gay. Thank you and goodnight.

  • @lalamusa1,

UFC and MMA is also gay by your logic. See how they roll around on the floor alot?

  • @kenshin420jj No, actually he didn't. Kalari existed in India long before Alexander came. There is evidence that Buddha was trained in Kalari, roughly 200 years before the invasion.

  • @kenshin420jj,

Greeks learnt pretty much everything from ancient Khemet (Egypt).

  • i like that kata of form

  • muscle mass isn't evrything flexibility, accuracy and speed can inflict deadly force. Kalari has earned its' place as a martial art it is holistic and not just puches and kicks. All the great martial arts teachings say this.

  • cool music and video

  • These Kalari fighters can master break dancing very quickly. Outrageous flexibility especially at 02:00 onwards.

  • Fascinating martial art. This man is incredibly balanced and flexible. It is a beautiful art to watch and I wouldn't want to fight this guy. lol

    Excellent!

  • wonder full..congrats for kurikkal,i am ash frome london,,,,i am student of moorkanadu hamza kurikkal,,,

  • THIS is true flexibility and what speed it's performed at---AMAZING--and NOT at all feminine. Thank you for posting.
