OMG how did you DO THAT!? i finished it once so now its gone to all the stages where you can only do difficult songs and i've basically given up, i cant get with the half notes and such :)
You simply just move you hand/arms at enough velocity for the game to pick it up. For hand freezes you continue shaking for the duration of the note. Moving your hand/arms to every quarter beat (you will see all 4 receptor arrows flash yellow at the top when you do that) and/or to every note raises the hand combo by one. 8 units to every hand combo. That's how you get scores about 40,000,000 in this game.
You can't AAA anything in the game with jumps off. Everything has to be on for it to count in the game. Hell, with this song you can't even turn off hands to AAA let alone jumps.
One of the few good songs on Hottest Party 2. I much prefer the first one because it has a more varied selection of tunes that I can easily load to my MP3 player and listen to on any occasion. HP2 is loaded with nothing but trash techno.
I wouldn't say all that. And not all of the licenses in HP2 were bad, though I would say it's about a 60 to 40 split in favor of the good licenses. HP1 was about 85 to 15 in comparison IMO. However if we're talking KOs HP1 was 15% good to 85% bad while HP2 is the exact opposite at about 90% good 10% OK (can't hate any of the KOs in HP2)
Trash techno? That's going a bit far. I guess each one to his own but for me, personally, while I did enjoy HP1's license list, HP2's lively KO's blow away HP1's KO's as a whole.
Depends on the song. Some require Hand Markers on and some require Gimmicks on. But no matter what, you must get everything perfect (i.e., either a Perfect or a Marvelous). But there are some that won't give you the AAA requirement with only playing strictly on mat. On many, you'll need to have Hand Markers on in order to AAA it. You can see darknight's videos or even my own for examples of this.
I would actually say that since I don't know all the score requirements for all the songs, if you want to stay on the safe side (not really) trying to AAA songs, play with hands and gimmicks. Now that I think about it, I have yet to test if foot+gimmicks equals AAA with some songs. Gonna go check that out.
WAY late response, but Foot+Gimmicks don't work on songs that require Gimmicks. It MUST be Foot+Hands+Gimmicks on songs that require them. However, the score requirement goes out the door with Gimmicks on. (in some cases it makes the song easier to AAA given you have no problem with whatever is thrown at you)
Yep, typically you get it when you've hit every note in a song with a perfect/marvelous rating and OK'd every freeze arrow. This is the only DDR I've played where there's an extra requirement on top of the already difficult enough perfect full combo.
Don't worry about the grammar, I knew what you were saying.
About 4 years and a couple months now off and on. Playing DDR with hand markers however is a recent thing. At least on here, it didn't take long to get the hang of them since they were programmed properly this time. On HP1, hand markers were too hit or miss for me.
wow there were 2 typos in that paragraph before the beginning of the song! it said "....timewith the rhythm of the song" and "increace your speed" i never thought that such a big company would overlook such big mistakes! maybe because they are japanese, they don't speak english very fluently. (i don't mean to be racist or anything, but it's true!)
Eh, from the looks of it, it just looks like someone was in a rush typing it moreso than they don't know English well. The "timewith" part sort of alludes to that as well as a missing space and spelling increase properly before the "increace" incident. If it was an "All Your Base" deal, it'd be a whole other discussion.
Prince Royal is no Michael Jackson, but I still think he did fine with vocals. The instrumental arrangement however, is nothing short of amazing. Especially mid song.

Saw that flashed on CNN last night after work when strolling into a Ruby Tuesday. Had too look at it three times to make sure I saw it right.
All I got to say is, FUCK! What makes it worse is that he was only 50.

I'm gonna have to do a AAA video of this now just out of tribute to the MJ.

How do you get Marvelous'?
EliTeSoulxx 3 years ago
In the options mode under gameplay.
darknight068 3 years ago

My fault, it's under the Graphic tab.

Foot + Gimmicks was something I thought about a couple days ago, actually. Lemme know if you uncover anything.

Thanks for answer by the way.

it says marvelous when you hit the hand freeze, but then says o.k. when it's over...does that mean you did it perfectly?
DREAML0SER 3 years ago
Yep, that's what it means. Same as foot freezes.
On another note, I finally AAA'd this song on pad with hands. Broke the high score for it too.
darknight068 3 years ago
wow, how long you been playing ddr?

Make more videos with hand markers. Try to video camera it a little better next time.

Whenever I get the time, I'll try and record a couple more of these. I'll also see about that camera too.
