@shortstop6697 You can play with other people in roleplaying and a little through the roleplaying you will unlock the PvP island. Yes you can change your armor and its color by buying (not real money, game money) new armor and dye in the markets which are located in towns or cities.

well as you should know there are different opinions between guild wars and WoW... so really its a test and fail situation, if you're having money problems then you may want to buy Guild Wars instead because there are no monthly fees. You can buy better armour in Guild Wars and there are some cool looking armours there :)
