  • @OsainteveO

Nice job explaining this. You make it make sense.

  • Sounds good dude it amazes me the great sound you get from a pod into a pc??

  • Do you think you can teach us Monkey On Your Back by Aldo Nova

  • Nice tone...I'd role off the highs a bit, but otherwise it sounds real nice. ;)

  • I have a question for you. Do you transcribe these songs yourself? I have been learning to play for a year now and have heard much about the benifits of transcribing, or trying to on my own. With limited time though, I have found clips like yours very helpful. I was thinking when I had more experience I would take a serious crack at transcibing. What are your thoughts on transcribing? Thank you for all the great lessons btw.

  • @firemedic19731

I don't go to the lengths of actually writing it down, but I do figure out the songs myself.

There's a good tool called Transcribe! by Seventh String Software. With it, you can slow the song down without affecting the pitch. There are EQ options to help isolate the guitar in a track.

    I believe there's a free trial download.

  • @firemedic19731 Thank you for the suggestion. I just gave it a try today. It will take a bit of getting used too but it seems to work well. They give you a 30 day free trial and then it is $50.00 US.

I appreciate you showing what you have no doubt spent many hours working on in your transcribings.

  • for some reason...my amp makes this sound faggy...what amp would you recomend?

  • @TheMuaythaidragon

    Faggy? LOL!

I just used a POD XT with one of the heavier presets.

    My best advice would be:

    High output pickups

Less treble and more mids than usual.

    Lots of gain.

    Reverb and Delay.

  • aldo nova rules,,,, thanx

  • Thanks Steve-O, I'm sure a lot of guitar players out there would really appreciate it if someone could figure it out, post a tab or demonstration or both. I have total faith in your ability. Thanks again, Todd P.S. Canadian Music Rocks!

  • Hi Steve-o,

    Great Job!

Do you know any April Wine particularly "I Like To Rock". I can't find guitar tab for it anywhere. Do you know where I can locate it?

    Thanks, Todd

  • I did 4 April Wine songs: Enough is Enough, Weeping Widow, Slowpoke and Tonight is a Wonderful Time.

I've been thinking of doing I Like to Rock.

  • Awesome job man....Always loved this song and wanted to learn it....Nice to know there's still people keeping this Classic alive!!!!! The solo in this song is Kick Ass too......Like to see you tear it up...You're a great player....

    Thanks

  • Actually, I have trouble with lots of songs. There's one part in the solo that I just can't play, so I'll have to give a pass on this one. Thanks for the comment!
