Very sorry for your loss:-( What an awesome dog! The first seconds, when you see his eyes-so much life and innocence in them...my dog lived 16 years, but he was smaller. they tend to live longer. I wish all dogs could live forever and although I do not believe in anything after death I really wish there was some kind of rainbow-bridge, where we could see our beloved doggies again...

I would like to know how is it to have a labrador in a apartment.I live in a 91m2 apartment.And i am thinking of buying one.How oftenly should i take them for a walk and how long?What do they eat and how much?How often should they have a bath?How long do they sleep a day?Are they hard to learn to use the potty?Do they chew furniture?Do they bark a lot?

Honestly, your lab has so much energy...he needs to get out and run around. theres always dog parks where they can interactwith other dogs, run freely and be safe. my lab has the same qualities and he is worn out after a few hours at the dog park... just some advice.

You know you can keep a high energy lab in an apartment but you can't be a couch potato type to do this. They have to get some serious exercise at least twice daily. If you like jogging at least an hour, morning/night, you're suitable for a lab in an apartment. Also, you would have to turn them out mid day at the least. But you can keep one in an apartment because I've done so. They're worth it.

I have a 4 yr old lab/beagle mix, and she looks like yours. Mine is overweight,she is up to 64lbs, but she is very active, I give her way too many treats. Might not be a health issue for now but most likely will be in a few years. 13 yrs was a long life,God bless Rex.

Wow his face is the exact same as our pure bred black field lab; beautiful. The white is pretty common its referred to as a medallion. Some will have stray white hairs on the bottom of their paws(ours does) and around the muzzle.

The fields labs love to run and are so driven to fetch we love them. If only they'd live as long as us.

labs do not make good house pets, I had one and they want to be outdoors all the time and they don,t like to be alone, best place for a lab is if you live in a rural area, If you leave a lab in a small apt for 3 days alone, your apt will be a total wreck when you return, they are also very good escape artists too mine would climb a 12 ft high chain fence to get out which he did many times.

This is a great video and I can understand the attention a black lab wants as I have one asleep on my foot at the moment. He hates the rain, so doesn't want to go outside at all. I have to lure him out with a treat just to get him to use the facilities, or he'll just hold it. No, I will not stfu any time soon. It's called Free Speech, another law you can look up.

My lab use to do this. It's called the "butt-tuck" run..and when they do it, get the hell outta the way! They get this crazed look in their eye and then the butt tucks under them and holy crap...round the coffee table...down the hallway..round the coffee table...down the hallway..1 more time then they stop and then it happens again! This is common in labs and is sooooo funny to watch.

I have been told that it could be a dalmatian. Because the white on his chest had some black spots but Rex just had all the characteristics of a Lab and to us he was our black lab.

He is a lab dalmation mix. I had one just like him. He passed a few months ago. My best friend. Alot of energy from the dalmation side but the smartest dog I ever had. I favorited your video to remind me of him. Look under Bo Biscuit, you'll see what I mean.

hahaha awesome!!! I got a black lab too, he's 14 years old now.

When he was younger he used to act like this too, and he loves people. He also loves water... lol we used to take him to the lake all the time, and one time we had the window open a crack, and he managed to escape while the car was still moving, and ran top speed towards the lake. lol

He's old now, and doesn't really do much other than just lay down, or wander around sniffing things. He's still very healthy for his age though.
