Yahoo gives you 100 free filters; however only the first 25 filters work. Yahoo will tell you if your filters don't work to move them up. So you move them up and then the other filters you have do't work. Yahoo sucks, why bother giving 100 filters if only the first 25 work!!?? Gmail is so much better. At least they don't lie about their filters like Yahoo does just to get more users.

i use free yahoo email. tried to set up filters and it doesn't work. yes i clicked on save. wonder if it's only for mail plus.

Every video that I've done are with the free service! What ever Live, Yahoo or Gmail!
When you said that it doesn't work, what do you mean? You can't save the filter?
Just try it one more time while the video is running, may be you're doing something wrong!! Otherwise I can't see the probleme you got!

i did same exact thing before i saw this video. no problems saving filter. i used keywords in subject. all messages still get thru

Damn strange!!!
Other thing that I can suggest, if you look in the filter, under subject you have body, do the same filter there. Usually everything that is in the subject (as tr and fw), it appear in the message body too!
When people transfert or foward a message they don't delete the header in the message, that's the reason why the tr and fw appear in the message body!
Try this and come back to me with the result!

If yes, jst block that person and you wont get any spam from that person!

no it comes from different ppl, but it's not spam. i just need to block messages based on keywords in subject line. thunderbird does a great job, almost perfect for my purposes, but i still like to filter directly in yahoo.

Great vid... There was a spammer on craigslist spamming the shit out of me. I blocked his address and the tr and fw!! thanks!!
Also what other tr and fw are there?? How do I know which ones are which??

You got also re for reply but I don't suggest to do it with the re because if one of your contact want to reply to you from an email you sent to him, you'll never get the email, see?
To found out which ones are which, you'll have to look at the emails you receive & see how you can block them with the Yahoo filter...
