  • But, ..wait, ho did you get it from 6:07 to the long canes at 6:13?

Sorry if someone else already asked, but I didn't see an answer >.<

  • do you bake them, then cut 'em? (im new to doing canes)

  • @dwTrail9 Yes, bake for about 5min.

  • This is definitely one of the better tutorials ive watched :) im just starting out on making canes and i dont know how you got from the model at 6:04 to the rolls after. Can you explain this to me? >.<

  • I watched all your videos and they are all AWESOME!

    you're really good!

I think nobody in France could do better than you!

  • @TheTarafan Thank you very much!

  • Im from Australia and im hoping to start polymerclay, my cousin does it and i think its really cool. I just need my mum to buy me the things you need and ill be on my way :) Your and insparation to me :)

  • its caled a strawberry not your face!!!! you sucked!!!

  • Thank you for sharin !

  • urmm

how can it turn from a sorta flat piece to a long triangle shape sorta... :(

  • THAAAANKYOOOUUUU!!!!!!!!!

  • you are amazing!! <3 ;D

    i'm from Poland ;p

  • @GentlemanBunny

    i totaly agree (:

    i'm from belgium

  • amazing!!! <3

  • wow! ur very good! nice video!(:

one question: what is the easiest cane??

  • @africalover2009 The easiest cane to make..probably something that just uses 2 colors. Like a circle within a circle within a circle etc.. so, a dart board? :D or a bullseye.

  • @africalover2009

The easiest and first cane I made was a banana cane. Very easy but if it's your irst time using fimo the colours might be confusing. I thought it would get lighter after baking it.................

  • can you please make a vid on how to stretch i need strawberries badly!

  • @amh3399 I am SO not good at reducing canes but, you start by just gently squeezing the middle.

  • That is so cool! I might try doing these stuff!

  • Where did you get your tools from and even the clay?... Any art store?

  • @ebabeex From a store here in Finland. But..yes.. art stores, craft stores..

  • @GentlemanBunny OMG. TY!! I cannot wait to make these. YOU ARE GREAT!!

  • Whoa.. Okay, can you post a vid. on how you stretch, because I tried many, MANY times, making it thicker, and thicker as I go, but somehow not turning out as well as yours... help?

    Thanks, [:

  • @TheHugMuffin I will re-make this video one day. More clearly.

  • Umm the end of the video doesn't even show the middle of the strawberry?

  • nutcracker music ! im in the nutcracker (:

  • @ductttapewallets Cool! :)

  • Aw this music takes me back to good times... I was in the Nutcracker for my dance studio a few years back <33

  • @AutumnLeafiffy My favorite ballet <3 And also reminds me of christmas time soooo much!

  • Can u make a tutorial on how to make heart, peace sign and dog paw canes if possible??

  • i tried to follow u but it doesnt turn out the way u did it..

  • hi! dunno if this is a stupid qns, but after we're done with the polymer clay (cane) we bake it, and when we use it (little cut strawberries from the cane) for our next creation, will it burn? like from baking them for the second time, when we bake it together with our new creation.

  • @janzeromacross8857 Nope, it won't burn. You only bake the cane for about 5minutes.

  • @GentlemanBunny oh no .... i baked it for 15 mins......can i still bake it with new creations in this case?

  • Do we need to use fimo clay or can it be made out of regular polymer clay?

  • @ersatzhoax101 FIMO, Sculpey, Cernit... whatever polymer clay you have.

  • were do u buy your ready made canes from?

  • @horsesruleilovethem nailartcanes dot c o m

  • could you make an apple cane if you know how? (: i would love to make all of these canes...

  • @Rayasaur I could try...

  • @GentlemanBunny aww well if you cant than thats ok. i bet you already have a bunch of requests. You should do what you want. (:

  • I am a failure at making canes XD

  • @HausOfCats Aww =)

  • I tried to make a strawberry cane too, but it vas too skinny! But the result isn't so bad after all :)

  • I honestly just wasted like 40 minutes of my time and then the thing says "much thicker"

you should take this down.. honestly

  • @v0ltagekid lmao me too, she made me waste the rest of my red clay

  • what would happen if you bake polymer clay too much????

  • @jymo7 It'll burn.

  • are these the kind you use on your nails and can you make a kiwi

  • @calliegirl98 Yes you can use fruit slices for your nails, and I have a kiwi cane tutorial already.

  • HOW DO U STORE THEM THO?

  • @animedrawergirl Store the slices? Well in a jar of some sort..or a blastic zip bag.

  • you-are-genius

  • Thx I made my first strawberry cane today! It turned out amazing because I made it thick!thanks again for your help!

  • this is confusing wait soo the first thing u made was what and the other one looked different????

  • Can u try to make a apple cane ?

  • @DuyenNL Hmm never made one but could be interesting to try :)

  • I don't see how this is a strawberry cane

  • ok this video seriously needs to be taken down. I just wasted half an hour to get to your problem of it not being thick enough and now I just screwed mine up. What a waste of clay. You did it wrong & skipped out on like an important step. Can anyone seriously follow this video? Awful.

  • @jpingFACES if it helps, what I always do is: I watch the entire video before actually doing it, that way there are no surprises :)

  • i tried to make one strawberry, but it was very bad! i think i'll use your technique!

BTW... if you dont understand of what she's talking about in 6:12... you can see this video watch?v=_DmvcLJt8mQ&playnext_from=TL&videos=J2rVaHcRhRs

i dont do this for spam!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! i just want to help :(!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

    REALLY!

  • its hard to understand..its like u skip few step..like how the 'the thick' block being stretch until it longer and small

  • @suhana3479

you can see toniellison's videos and you will know what she's talking about... and this is not for "spam", I just want to help :) ... watch the video watch?v=_DmvcLJt8mQ&playnext_from=TL&videos=J2rVaHcRhRs

  • @xXxMySweetChannelxXx

thanks so much...it make sense now lol xD

  • @suhana3479

    you're welcome XD

  • uuuuh i dont understand the part from stretch...it was first a big thick clay thingy and dont understand how you got it that way...o_o Nya!

  • how'd u learn to make all this stuff!?!?!!?!?

  • @pepsimonster10 Everywhere. I mean I pick up a lot of things from the web but I also try to come up with new techniques. This, however, I read a lot about before even trying it out.

  • i tried the orange cane

and my clay was likenot going to stick ,so it broke

and im afraid that i cant role this one to realy dont get how to stretch ;#

  • @SuperSweetDeco Hmm, aww.

  • When you buy your canes, where do you buy them from? Im asking cause i tried and it turned out... not so good LoL Thanks : )

  • @814girl I buy them from nailartcanes dot.. com

  • I love the way you explained everything but, I dont get what you do between this part 6:05 - 6:11, did you accidentally skipped a part. or is it just me, if it is im sorry, can you pls pls explain cuz i really want the strawberries , ty ^^

  • @musicdramasensation Yup, I skipped. Because you have to make the 1st part really thick...so you can strech it easily..I made it too thin..and eventually..couldn't strech the part you see on the video 1st.

  • @GentlemanBunny

is it possible if you can pls give me the directions for that step pls??

  • @musicdramasensation I think I'll re-make this video. It has confused a lot of people :)

  • @GentlemanBunny

really, thank you so much. I really want to make strawberry canes. :)

  • my clay turned pink. lol

  • @85babycakes Woww... :D mixing white/red does that.

  • @GentlemanBunny woww...you dont really need to be so rude....

  • mine looks like salmon

  • @tomwahtoes Haha :D

  • 5:20 looks like a mouth with red teeth! haha great vid :]

  • @BabyDollMaddie Haha, Thank you!

  • i failed so bad at making this. XD mine came out looking like raw steak because i totally forgot to make it thick! made some use of it though... made raw t-bones!! :D

  • @TheSweetSpotShop Ohhh, very good! (not getting discouraged but making something else instead!!!) good thinking! :)

  • why can you buy canes from??

  • @claybaby98 nailartcanes is a good place :)

  • how did the inside part became white when in the last u put red in the middle?

  • @bhabymine13 As I've told before in the comments. I did the 1st part of this video too thin. It has to be much thicker so you can strech it. I am trying to show you HOW you can make strawberry canes. But didn't fully make one in this video.

  • when you put all the pieces together you just stretch it?

  • @SuperDollgirl Make the first part very thick..so you can squeeze and pull and strech it.

  • so after 6.05 you have to wrap the thicker version of it in red clay and then stretch it?

i hope you make this tutorial again soon please ^^

    x~~

  • is the white clay regular white or transparent?

  • @samanthadeborde With transparent, you get a more realistic look. I usually mix white with transparent..so it's a bit see through but not too much.

  • This really helped (: the stretching is hard but I found a way to stretch it just takes patience.. Could you take maybe a closer piture of your strawberry cane bcause this one was a little bit blurry :P

  • @Theipodtouch123 Thank you :)

  • GentlemanBunny thanks so much for your videos! I've been watching your video for quite a while! Your work has inspired me so much! If you didnt have these videos, i couldnt ever make polymer clay miniatures! Once again, thanks so much!

Request: Can you make a video on how to make all sorts of bread? Thanks!

  • @XoXForeverStarXoX Thank you! :) Perhaps, perhaps.

  • i didn't understand how u roll it strech it...you didnt show us that...so how we can do the final shape?

  • @vouLitsa00 You have to make the first part very thick, so it's easy to strech it.

  • @GentlemanBunny how thick? and how i am going to strech it? to strech something...is not so easy...i mean i dont know it confusing me..and the how did it become all red? u step a big part of the video, the streching part

  • @vouLitsa00 I'll someday re-make the tutorial better. Iskipped a big part, because I failed with it a bit. But still wanted to show you guys "how, in theory" this cane can be made.

  • @GentlemanBunny yes.please show us the tutorial better!

  • where can u buy ready made canes? is there a website?

  • @Gothy777 For example from eBay or Etsy. There are plenty of sellers who sell them there :)

  • will this work with non transparent clay?

  • @Gothy777 Sure! :)

  • I just made this and end up with peppermint swirl candy. xP

  • Haha yes, I've ended up with a peppermint swirl a couple of times too :P

  • I honestly don't see how it went from being huge and thick. . .to something I could stretch. . .

  • @LollirotAngel i dont understand either.....): i really wanted to do this...

  • Comment removed

  • I didn't get it

after the candy like look how do I get it to a roll form?

I just roll it? wont it mix the colors?

  • Don't roll, STRECH. :)

  • wow what a wonderful job!!!

  • Thank you!

  • Great technique

  • Comment removed

  • What type of clay is that please?

  • Polymer Clay.

  • awesome, you did a great job

strawberries are my favorite fruit :)

why do you people ask how to stretch it

bunny shows how in the vid..

    retarded questions..

i say if you ask the questions like "how'd you get this from that" and "how do you stretch it" thats just..you didn't watch it, you skimmed through it

don't make bunny waste time by having to answer those questions due to your being lazy..it's not nice :(

  • Bunny is busy hopping away..and easter's coming too ;)

  • hey you know gym weights can u make a tutorial on that i been wanting to make one for my dad he always goes to the gym and i tried making one and it came out horrible! please i would really appriceate it

  • Wow, gym weights. That's a very original idea :) I'll see what I can do.

  • @GentlemanBunny thank you so much! so when do u think u will have it posted? sorry i am really eager to make them

  • Oh well, I don't know. There are so many other tutorials that have been requested way before this. Basically how I'd do it is.. take a metal pin (toothpick..anything) and cover that with clay. Then add some clay in the shape of "disks" to both ends of that. =)

  • i had a question do you take requests?? because if you do could you please show how too make an miniature cat (it can be an cat head only too thats okay too) and a cherry blossom please? =^-^= oh and thank you for the tutorial so gonna try it! Nya!

  • Yes, I often make tutorials that people have requested =)

  • thank you for the reply! can you please then make an miniature cat (it can be an cat head only too thats okay too) and a cherry blossom please? =^-^=

  • how did u stretch it? cuz if i roll it, it will be mixed everywhere :O

  • Yup, don't roll, strech. Make it thick so it's easy to strech.

  • i was hoping you had this tutorial!!! i saw ur website and showed my bf, he thought they were real! its amazing what you do :) but how do you stretch it? is it hard to roll it out that much?

  • If you make the first part very thick, it's easier to strech it ever more.

  • yeah, how did you go from a strawberry shape into the actual canes ? ?? PLEASE RESPOND

  • You strech the cane...like normally, when making round things like the banana cane & kiwi cane, I roll it..and it becomes longer and smaller and thinner. With the strawberry cane, you strech and strech.."pull" it.. and it becomes smaller and thinner..and then you cut it into little canes.

  • ohhh i see !

i just put it in between my hands, and cup my hands and then start rolling the strawberry shape in between my hands =D

    thanks

  • do you bake it before slicing?

  • Yes, for about 5-10 minutes.

  • how did you go from a strawberry shaped strawberry to three long sticks? :)

  • where do you buy transparent clay?

  • FIMO has a "transparent effect color". So, if you can find FIMO, you might find a transparent kind.

  • Thank you so much!! teehee =P

  • i don't get it lol

what should be a lot thicker and whats the clay block?

    xx

  • are you using white or translucent clay here?

  • I use white. Translucent might be better, but I had none at that time.

  • I am gonna try this for my American girl dolls. You inspired me to make food. Rated it 5 stars! Say can you subscribe to me?

  • waiit so, u make 1 big strawberry and stretch it to make it smaller?

  • @kawaiichan94 Yes, that's how you make canes. You make a big design and roll or stretch to make it as small as you want =D I hope i can make the strawberry...looks kinda hard to stretch Teehee

  • @SMILEnatLUVSyou You don't even know how to make a cane so don't shout out like u do

  • You didnt show how to get from a big flat strawberry to small ones please could you explaine??

  • Strreeeeech, and streeech. But yeah, the first part - make it thick! Thicker than what I did at the beginning. So it is easier to strech and strech it until it is as thinly streched as the canes at the end of the video.

  • This is so awesome! :D The strawberries came out so pretty :3 This was extremely helpful, thank you :)

  • Thank you!

  • i baked my cane after bakin i cut it and the slices broke ! can you help me ?

  • Hmm, perhaps you baked it too much. Or when you made the cane, you didn't "work on the clay enough", meaning, you need to really warm it up in your hands before adding all the clays together and making a cane.

  • how do you store your canes? I have found that if I bake it and cut then thin, they just break and I get a lot of wasted cane. I have heard storing them unbaked is helpful. Right?

  • I bake them for about 5min, and then store them as whole canes. Whenever I need a slice, I slice the cane.

  • you don's want to bake it for the full package instruction time. Maybe between 7-9 min. or you can store them in the freezer until you need toSlice and then bake them :o)

  • 0:48 it looks like a pill

  • Yuup.

  • dear god thank you for this XD I'd never figure it out otherwise O_O

  • Thank you :)

  • :55

    whos that pokemon!

    a: voltorb.

  • oh nevermind, i found the answer

    vv. lol (:

  • can u tell me, i never actually thought of that.... but wat is it??

  • you bake it first so that when in the process of cutting it wont smudge or change its shape (:

  • oh... thx 4 telling me ~

  • i was just wondering, for the canes do we bake the cane first and then cut it? or do we cut it and then bake it?

    thanks ;D

  • so what did you do with that large piece before you stretched it?

i got lost at that point ..

did you roll it up or fold it over then stretch

  • Well actually you need to make the large piece much thicker, chunkier than was shown on the first part of this video. Once it's chunky, it's easy to strech it/pull it....until it's streched as thin as the cane on the 2nd part of the video.

  • amazing! i was wondering how you made fruit after watching your mini banana split video. you are very gifted :)

  • Thank you! You can see a few of my fruit cane tutorials here @ YouTube.

  • this reminds me of candy making.

  • Somewhat, yes :)
