The term "observation" from the double slit experiment is used in a very technical sense that pretty much has nothing to do with the kind of social interaction that occurs when we're looking at each other. I don't know, maybe you understand the distinction but are trying to draw an analogy? If that's the case you're doing a very bad job of making people understand what you're trying to say. And nobody listens to Brad Pitt. That's just ridiculous.
You're a joke, another wannabe Philosopher who constantly over-analyzes anything and everything. You're not an intellectual, you're a fool and you're so caught up in your own bullshit, you don't even realize how ridiculous you sound.
You threw up as a result of having sex with a girl? That's not the least bit surprising. Why don't you stop peddling your nonsense you fucking deadbeat. I think it's hilarious that your videos being watched a few thousand times will be the highlight of your life. I wish you'd feel the weight of a semi rolling over your head.
it seems you are embarking on a fascinating journey into the world of intense delusion, apparently of the grandiose varierty. enjoy the trip! for anyone with even a remote interest in behavioral/abnormal psychology you certainly make for an interesting study...that clearly being your most worthwhile contribution. thanks to you and thanks to youtube!
Worshiping another is detrimental to experiencing clarity of thought. Jesus focused on himself and what he defined as "God" or his "father." I call it the consciousness. Jesus was a person like you and I. We are more evolved than he was and we are more capable of making this work than he was. But in order to do this we must let go of all worship.
When you say that we must let go of all worship, you've lost me, too. Worship is what binds us all together, especially if you want to say that "he is we".
I view worship as honoring our interconnectedness...that interconnectedness is what is "holy", the "ultimate".
Of course, 'holy', 'ultimate', 'God'...all are words that, when we try to explain them, is like trying to grab hold of fog. If "he is we" (or why not "she is we"?), then wouldn't honoring that be a form of "worship"?
You make some interesting self-discoveries and I think that it is great that you are willing to just post these moments for everyone to connect with. I would like to open a discussion with you regarding some of your ideas, they have been concrete and in works for thousands of years... I haven't had the chance to sit down and talk to the cam about this but I will and then will post it. Keep re-thinking and growing...
Every once in a while I will get a malicious comment from someone new with a screen name like "Isuckbad" or "stinkypoo." These names are masks for "I am in pain."

Wow, deep thinker... Here is one 4 u: U only exist because we take notice of u. Existence is only in the eye of the observer, in fact, if other beings are not aware of your existence, not only u do not exist, but even worse: if you do exist, your life is futile anyway...
Social Capital "refers to the collective value of all 'social networks' and the inclinations that arise from these networks to do things for each other
cultural capital "acts as a social relation within a system of exchange that includes the accumulated cultural knowledge that confers power and status."
You go to these youtube community get togheter, this convention with manifest destiny crap, and the homeless shelter, and probably a bunch of other thing. Don't you feel sad for yourself? well, no shit you do...
You need to get a life Ian. Your life consists of weed, youtube, and just about every public get-togethers so you feel loved, or cared or whatever you crave from this fake-reality your living in.
Be specific on a high abstraction level Ian. "Brad Pitt can control things with his gravitational pull". That just comes out wrong. I'm sure you don't mean he'll pull physical items towards him whenever he speaks. We define ourselves and our reality through words. Words do have power. But be specific.
... this is just... wow. Speechless. How... but... why? I really no longer know what to say to you, Ian. You are so beyond help that... are you sure that you didn't need extra help in school? Do you have learning disabilities or have you just regressed so far from doing all that weed?
Isn't it only teenagers who blab about them having had sex last night, Ian? Odd. I've never known somebody "hold back" from Sex so much and make it into such a torturous self enquiry. Sex is a distraction? Distraction from what exactly? Sex isn't "Destructive" unless you think that way. For everybody else, it is a wonderful expression between two people and a wonderful sharing of energy, joy, and pleasure. Simple as that.
Sex is also destructive if you unwittingly find yourself in bed with a serious biter. Long nails down the back are destructive also, but not nearly as much as the bite marks.
Bite marks suck. But I did love the overcasual sex reference here. "Most people think I'm an idiot, and my groupies are too dim and inarticulate to defend me in comments. My girlfriend of 8 yrs walked out due to my conduct and I can't get an acting gig. But I can still get someone to fuck me! Yeah!"
Its called collective effervescence (sp?), in regards to what you were talking about at a concert or in a theatre, many people feeling as one. I did a paper on it in college
you sound insane, how could you trip on such mundane human interaction all the time, "i looked at a women, i got turned on, we fucked later...CRITICAL THOUGHT MASS 4"... i sensed something in my groin channeling through my optic nerve, my third eye was blinded by lust, i let go of reason, no she's pregnant"
You are so right and so wrong. Maybe you know it. Maybe this gravity is sugar for the pill, wrapping up therapy in Brad Pitt? I can't tell. "What The Bleep..." seems to be that. Is reality perception? Is there nothing good or bad, but thinking makes it so? They should have given you Hamlet, dude! Well, my necessaries are now embarked.

Another thing, I just bought the extended version of "What the Bleep- Down the Rabbit Hole". It's funny that you mentioned going down the "rabbit hole" in this vid. I recomend the movie by the way. Very, very cool.
I actually agree with some of the stuff you say in this vid. Being a performing musician, I have experienced the collective energy or lack of energy from audiences. When they give positive energy and feel our groove it heighthens us and we play better, thus giving the audience a better experience as well. Live performance is a very symbiotic relationship. The collective energy goes back and forth from performer to audiencea and vice versa. So, I do agree with your point of view here, Ian.
Thank goodness. When you said, 'Stop wasting time... there isn't much left" I pictured you as some sort of flowery grim reaper. :)
Don't you think it's up to Ian what he does with his time? From what he says here, I don't think acting is all that important to him. If it was, he'd be making different choices.
God, I wish to the very core of my being that more people would listen to Brad Pitt than George Bush. Well, I wish that more people would listen to virtually anyone more than George Bush....except Cheney and a few others...
Aww...I'm sorry to hear that you're sick. Remember to pump yourself with some Vitamin C and Echinacea. Our bodies truly do react to the stressors in our lives. Take care of yourself, and take some more time to relax and listen to the whales! :)
I'm watching this video again...very powerful stuff. I think that your hypothesis is onto something big. I think of those who have had severe reactions to your videos--both positive and negative--and think that there is a force, something is drawing these severe reactions to you (and others) via video! I am enjoying this journey with you! :)
When I was a kid, no matter what was wrong with my sister and I, my dad would feed us vitamin C. Got a cold? Take some Vitamin C. Scrape your knee? Take some Vitamin C. Developed a tumor on your lung? Take some Vitamin C. Had to crawl away from a car wreck with a peice of metal peircing your heart? Take some Vitamin C. It was nonsense then and it's nonsense today -- to me at least, considering how sickly of a child I was.
Out of everything that your buddy said on this video and what others have talked about, you're still hung up on this vitamin C deal? And you say that Ian is the one who's insane?
Feeling frustrated with the messages someone is leaving you on YouTube? Vitamin C will help! You can find a bottle at your friendly neighborhood CVS pharmacy!
HAHAHAHAHAHA!!!!This comment is easily one of the top 10 best comments I have ever read on youtube. HAHAHAHAHAHA oh that's awesomeness at it's best. Thanks for the chuckle. Peace
supersente is mad at his dad ...because his dad must have passed him a lot of colds when he was young...dude..i'm sure your dad didn't mean any harm with the vitamin -C maybe you should ask for an apology from him so you can move on.. dude...
You're right. I need to move on. But how can I do that while my father still lives? I suppose I'll have to kill him. Thank you for convincing me to murder my father, tdejncd. Murder will make the pain go away that the Vitamin C couldn't.
dude...why do you want to kill your dad? that is really deep...why don't you bore him to death by having him watch 10 crossland videos in a row..then no one can trace the murder to you...
Windex will kill wasps very quickly. Keep a bottle in the car and when a bee or wasp starts buzzing you...blast that sucker with windex...wasp or bee is history. well..maybe not bees they are getting scarce...Save the Bees!
Consider the person who developed and advocated "the nonsense". It was Linus Pauling -- who was a very famous Biochemist and won the Nobel prize in Chemistry. He developed a new theoretical branch of medicine called "Orthomolecular medicine" which is still controversial, but scientifically-based. So your dad had the right idea, but it sounds like he sort of overdid it (and misapplied it). lol. But you'll know better with your kids right?
Ian, you're killing me... I know there's going to be 2 vids... it was funny because you're always tangential. Maybe that's why we watch!?
You saying something about being tangential is like Muhamed Ali saying something about being a good boxer.
Okay, and before you say it... Yes, I know we would like each other if we were hanging out... And yes, my father used humor to avoid serious topics... and now I do the same ;^D Smile, man.
Isn't Chinese incredibly hard to learn? I understand that every word can mean three completely difference things, if it is spoken in a high, medium or low pitch. Plus, there are so many dialects. Do you speak Chinese?
Hey Ian - I'm a new subscriber but I just wanted to say these ideas are really interesting and I'm looking forward to seeing the rest of your thoughts. Perhaps I will post a video response after I think about these for awhile if I can get over my fear of it. I'd like to look over your older videos on crossmack that I haven't seen too. Maybe that will inspire me.
Anyway - I'm looking forward to hearing more of your ideas.
I have heard the expression that words have gravity but only in the psychological sense. I thought that noticeable gravitational fields in the Newtonian sense can only be created by the presence of large amounts of mass or extremely large amounts of energy. Are you talking about classic gravitation fields in terms of Newtonian physics or psychological gravity?
Actually, everything has gravity. It's just that things like you and me have such small amounts of gravity compared to the earth that our gravity isn't discernible. But it does exist.
Right that's why I used the words "noticeable gravity fields". In other words you and I have no way of taking notice of the extremely small gravitational fields that exist between our bodies and the objects that surround us in our room.
roseand/orbud, do you know something re the end of the world you'd like to share with the rest of us? ;-) And as much as he drives me up a wall sometimes, yes. Talking things through, trying to create theories is Ian's way of exploring himself and the truth. Sometimes it makes me want to pull my hair out, but he doesn't force anyone to watch these videos, so it seems to me that it's his choice.
i mean dude, it's not like humans are descendents from animals and are hardwired to detect subtle movements & sounds...it's not like we have a brain and nervous system that can process one main activity as well as peripheral activity in the room... no it's just all so cosmic and gravitational and unexplainable dude...

Critical Ant Mass-
With their combined weight greater than the combined weight of all humans, ants are the most numerous type of animal.
Strong in relation to their size, ants can carry 10 to 20 times their body weight. They work in teams to move extremely heavy things.
Ant brains are largest amongst insects. Mushroom shaped brain appendages have function similar to the gray-matter of human brains.

My question is: how do you live your day life with this mass thoughts inside your head?

Orca doo doo.

Thank goodness. When you said, 'Stop wasting time... there isn't much left" I pictured you as some sort of flowery grim reaper. :)
Don't you think it's up to Ian what he does with his time? From what he says here, I don't think acting is all that important to him. If it was, he'd be making different choices.
arammat 5 years ago
Ian, you're starting to make more sense everyday... minus the Brad Pitt thing...maybe the President, but not Brad Pitt.
Valthecatlover 5 years ago
God, I wish to the very core of my being that more people would listen to Brad Pitt than George Bush. Well, I wish that more people would listen to virtually anyone more than George Bush....except Cheney and a few others...
arammat 5 years ago
Aww...I'm sorry to hear that you're sick. Remember to pump yourself with some Vitamin C and Echinacea. Our bodies truly do react to the stressors in our lives. Take care of yourself, and take some more time to relax and listen to the whales! :)
cradamik2 5 years ago
I'm watching this video again...very powerful stuff. I think that your hypothesis is onto something big. I think of those who have had severe reactions to your videos--both positive and negative--and think that there is a force, something is drawing these severe reactions to you (and others) via video! I am enjoying this journey with you! :)
cradamik2 5 years ago
Climb aboard, dude. Welcome or the orca/rabbit hole of gravitas.
Projection1234 5 years ago
When I was a kid, no matter what was wrong with my sister and I, my dad would feed us vitamin C. Got a cold? Take some Vitamin C. Scrape your knee? Take some Vitamin C. Developed a tumor on your lung? Take some Vitamin C. Had to crawl away from a car wreck with a peice of metal peircing your heart? Take some Vitamin C. It was nonsense then and it's nonsense today -- to me at least, considering how sickly of a child I was.
superasente 5 years ago
Wow...wasn't quite expecting this from such a superficial line. All I know is what works for me. I am always interested in reactions such as this...
cradamik2 5 years ago
Just take some Vitamin C. You'll feel better.
superasente 5 years ago
Out of everything that your buddy said on this video and what others have talked about, you're still hung up on this vitamin C deal? And you say that Ian is the one who's insane?
cradamik2 5 years ago
Feeling frustrated with the messages someone is leaving you on YouTube? Vitamin C will help! You can find a bottle at your friendly neighborhood CVS pharmacy!

HAHAHAHAHAHA!!!!This comment is easily one of the top 10 best comments I have ever read on youtube. HAHAHAHAHAHA oh that's awesomeness at it's best. Thanks for the chuckle. Peace

supersente is mad at his dad ...because his dad must have passed him a lot of colds when he was young...dude..i'm sure your dad didn't mean any harm with the vitamin -C maybe you should ask for an apology from him so you can move on.. dude...
tdejncd 5 years ago
You're right. I need to move on. But how can I do that while my father still lives? I suppose I'll have to kill him. Thank you for convincing me to murder my father, tdejncd. Murder will make the pain go away that the Vitamin C couldn't.
superasente 5 years ago
dude...why do you want to kill your dad? that is really deep...why don't you bore him to death by having him watch 10 crossland videos in a row..then no one can trace the murder to you...
tdejncd 5 years ago
That one had me rolling on the floor in laughter. Thanks for that!!
justveiwing23 5 years ago
Isn't vitamin C supposed to be eaten as a proactive thing against colds?
thedakkster 5 years ago
Yeah,Zinc is really the only thing that suppresses cold symptoms...other than the obvious cold medicines.
Methadone4Life 5 years ago
Why do you fear Vitamin C, superasente? Aren't you projecting your terror of ascorbic acid here? Face your demons, dude.
reflexivelycontrary 5 years ago
Absolutely. Everyone knows Windex is the cure-all.
reflexivelycontrary 5 years ago

Brad Pit??? LMAO! I was seriously listening...until, OMG Brad Pit!!! His words carry weight? AHHHHHHHhahahaha Love ya Ian. :)

Learn Chinese dude ... more people speak Mandarin Chinese than any other language.
More people write in Chinese ... no matter the script.
Learn Chinese.
w0rldpeace 5 years ago
Isn't Chinese incredibly hard to learn? I understand that every word can mean three completely difference things, if it is spoken in a high, medium or low pitch. Plus, there are so many dialects. Do you speak Chinese?
arammat 5 years ago
Hard language to learn. I studied it in college. Good language to know though.

Peter7777t 5 years ago
Actually, everything has gravity. It's just that things like you and me have such small amounts of gravity compared to the earth that our gravity isn't discernible. But it does exist.
arammat 5 years ago
Right that's why I used the words "noticeable gravity fields". In other words you and I have no way of taking notice of the extremely small gravitational fields that exist between our bodies and the objects that surround us in our room.
Peter7777t 5 years ago
Unless this extremely small gravitation field is multiplied, then we may be able to notice a change.
IanCrossland 5 years ago
I suppose that we might have some sort of heretofor unknown sensory apparatus for amplifying a gravitational force field vector.
Peter7777t 5 years ago
roseand/orbud, do you know something re the end of the world you'd like to share with the rest of us? ;-) And as much as he drives me up a wall sometimes, yes. Talking things through, trying to create theories is Ian's way of exploring himself and the truth. Sometimes it makes me want to pull my hair out, but he doesn't force anyone to watch these videos, so it seems to me that it's his choice.

harperseth is so right on.
i mean dude, it's not like humans are descendents from animals and are hardwired to detect subtle movements & sounds...it's not like we have a brain and nervous system that can process one main activity as well as peripheral activity in the room... no it's just all so cosmic and gravitational and unexplainable dude...
