  • I bow to the master.

  • Thank you for the music and memories Cat.

  • great great great songwriter !

  • So amazing!

  • Great tune!!!

  • I have been listening to Cat for over 40 years, yet he still manages to send that charismatic tingle up my spine. Rock on!

  • it is so unfortunate that he made that comment about S. Rusdie...I think he is a beautiful man and I certainly appreciate his music. Thank you Cat, Yusef. what ever you call yourself. Your name is not your identify...

  • @conniealoha1 Just to sort of set the record straight...what he said was that "according to a literal interpretation of Muslim law..Rushdie would be put to death..Not Should but would. I saw him explain this on a talk show not too long ago and then they played the clip of the original interview and sure enough it was true. made me feel a lot better about Cat/Yusef. He sure makes some great music.

  • @garymichael1950

Thanks, that does make me feel a little better. I really love his music so much. And yes, I see my typo - Rushdie.

  • @conniealoha1 If I got paid for every typo I made, I'd own the internet!

  • @conniealoha1 Thanks! Ironically, I just finished one of his books.

  • a true legend

  • Rarely does an artist have such a HUGE and youthful following for songs they sang almost 40 years ago.

But then again, my favorite album is his most recent - Roadsinger. Love you, Yusuf!

  • he could sing the ABC's and send chills up my spine

  • amazing, so few words, but so powerful

  • His music has kept me alive!

  • @The33unicorns and me

  • amen

  • I think of my stilborn everytime I hear this song. I made so many wrong choices....

  • @Limogi :( sorry for your loss. we all make wrong choices.....not in vain tho,if we learn from them.

  • I had a major crush on him.

  • @ibrewerwestislip Me too! I cried when I heard he'd found religion and given up music forever.

  • This is the only man that I can listen to any album of his front to back and love every single song!! What great music the 60's and early 70's produced!!!

  • his voice is so sweet...like an angel...had the biggest crush on him...still do....

  • Music was so good in the seventies...

  • Love it ! x

  • First time I heard the song . . . beats 90% of the music we have now.

  • he gave the world more then it will ever know!

  • He's touched a lot of hearts for many years

  • my heart is a well filled to overflowing with love ,kindness and such a yearning to share, but no has come to draw the water. so i wait , cry and laugh.

  • still love you, don't ever forget it, promise.

  • Love from the 70's and beyond for me also.

  • i want his pants lol

  • I fell in love with Cat Steven's music in 70's.....it's 2011 and still love his music.....maybe even more now! He writes from the heart and touches the soul.

  • Amazing man and musician. He was so courageous to go on stage with Steven Colbert . I'm so glad he is showing his face again.

  • thank you god for internet.

  • His anniversary, Sept 7th, is my birthday. I am very happy to know that bit of trivia, yes I am. I've been a fan since the 70s. He has been an inspiration to me and for that, I am most thankful.

His misic touches my soul at the core.

    peace

  • My very favorite song of Cat Stevens. I love the words and the way it flows. Such crisp guitar playing.....sounds like he just put new strings on!

  • Only tears..can express the appreciation I have had for this wonderful music. Words just ...well, you know...'just don't know..' Therapy in a crazy world...holding on; still. Thanks ....4 decades !

  • @giver7700 It sounds as if we're living in parallel dimensions. I couldn't have expressed my life any better than your words. Thank you.

  • @giver7700 you said what i needed to:))) and breathe

  • @giver7700 Keep holding on!!! He found his way---so will you

    God bless you

    Judith

  • THANK YOU CAT FOR YOUR MUSIC. YOU ARE ONLY ONE. I AM BETTER MAN

    FOR YOUR SONGS.

  • Great song about longing. Reminds me of an elusive someone from my past.

  • a beautiful song

  • Winner.......

  • I believe these are some of the most prolific lyrics ever created..... optimistic... to get over some pain .... oooooh .. la la love this song !!! xx

  • The sound clarity is incredible considering the age of this recording.

  • A poet who still inspires with his songs of the '70's. His music and songs, had he continued, would have probably changed more of the world.

  • @shadowhyrst Just wondering if you know about what Cat has done in the last 35 years or so.....he was always a spiritual seeker and still is. But he left the musical industry lifestyle to go on and do wonderful humanitarian deeds around the world, helped the poor and oppressed in many ways, all of this funded by his music royalties. He has been to hellish places, spreading the word of peace. I was confused and sad when he left music, but happy to know what he did with his life.

  • thank god there is videos, so we can see this man perform, when i first heard him in the 70's, there was only lp's, 8 tracks, watching this delightful, devestatingly handsome man is a sheer joy! so yeah for video

  • What a beautiful heart singing through to such a beautiful sound.

  • Happy Birthday for today Yusuf. You still sound great. You're so beautiful here. My favourite song and clip of yours. Love you to bits. XX

  • now there's a man who feel's the music word cat steven's is the shit man

  • yes I am muslim

but I hate to see religion discussion in every video of cat stevens

I came here to enjoy the music not to fight

  • Salam alaykoum Yusuf islam Baraka allaho fik

  • i have watched this a million times, i never tire of watching him, so intense, so intense

  • Classic!.....this song is amazing, Cat Stevens is a fantastic, singular artist.

  • Yusuf/Cat... How can I tell you I love you? I guess by saying I love you, your music and what you've added to my life and understanding of love.

    Thanks my brother.

    Rev. Tim Kendrick

  • Dear friend Cat / Yussuf - You've been scoring my life ever since Wild World. May you be allowed to live in peace and harmony with all. I'm so glad you've returned to music.

  • I love this song. His voice is beautiful. It brings this sense of calm over me and has since I was young. You can talk about the Constitution and Religion all you want, but listening to this song is a spiritual experience for me.

  • @houston please stop this logic class here, i had already studied in the school, i am talking about how the things are in the reality, if the things are bad, we would routinely call them bad, if the laws are only one sided we would call it discrimination till the day they are equal for an American or a child dieing in Sahara desert.

  • @hammad313 You might want to check into summer school if that was a lesson of the logic class you have been studying. If you are saying that any human being is worth exactly the same as any other human being, I would say that our Constitution indicates we're all BORN that way. We don't all STAY that way. If we did, this would already BE utopia. How much would you take from Paul Simon to feed that child dying in Sahara.?

  • Please remember that I'm catching enough sh*t for continuing to discuss religion, as this is a board posting his music; please don't antagonize the other board members by continuing in this path. This is a request; I have no power to enforce such a ban. I ust predict that continued affirmations of faith will not give you the result you seek.

  • ...It is so sad to see so many fall for the false prophets that the Bible warns us of...sadly Cat is another of these. The Truth is known by only a few when compared to the vast majority who never find it...I hope whomever reads this will join us by praying for the Truth to bring more and more to salvation by the knowledge and faith of our only savior, the Lord Jesus Christ...the Bible says, "No one can come to the Father except through Me." [Jesus Christ's words.]

  • ...The good works that we see in the world are all God's works...done in or through us...we credit ourselves and each other when we are blind to the truth that only God is good and ALL glory belongs to Him. Jesus made it clear when the rich young man came to Him asking," Good teacher! What should I do to inherit eternal life"? Jesus turned to him and said," Why do you call me good? Only the Father in Heaven is good." Jesus was speaking to him as a man, although He is God and man.

  • Children...we have only one 'free will' choice...and it is only to our own demise. The Bible says, we are DEAD in trespass and sin and can only will evil...even if it is good in our eyes...it is also written that narrow is the road that leads to eternal life [Christ] but...broad is the road that leads to distruction. [false religion] It is written in the Word of GOD that the Bible is foolishness to those who are perishing...how many people do you know that don't care what the Bible says?

  • wow this is real music compared to the current crop of music performers who mask a bitterly absent songcraft skillset. They mask this with lurid lyrics, sex and american idol gimmickry to get the audience. Lucky for them the audience of today is just as low brow as the music thats being spoonfed to them. I have no doubt a backlash musical revolution will emerge once folks start to realize the time they've wasted listening to gaga, anti bellum, buckcherry and the like.

  • in my personal spiritual life i have found nothing in islam that would make me want to convert to it,s faith, and i dont realy care for over reactive fundamental christianity, and to be honest with every one i have a certian un likeing of islam as a whole, but when i listen to cat stephens old songs, and lryics it takes me to a peacefull place where music and emotion transcend high above the frailities of religion.

  • And the Word is God and Jesus is The Word.

  • some of the best music ever,by one of the greatest musicians of this age. i think that he alone single handedly had more tallent than many of the bands of that era, sutch as the beatles. we had the beatles shoved down our throats,ah'' but cat stephens thats a differnt story

  • @snapperjohn1000 He is still one of a kind, you would never find any critic of Cat Stevens, most of his critics are Islamphobist fanatics but that has nothing to do with his music, what an amazing talent he still has, am just amazed............

  • @hammad313 I don't think I've heard anyone criticize his music,, even people who don't share his particular faith. They generally go ad hominem, It's seems we're being assaulted by someone more intent on making his affirmations of faith instead of having a discussion. While one's devotion to his particular path is energizing the deliverer, it is at best enervating to the recipients, and at worst, make people wish you had an avatar they could beat with a stick. .

  • maybe it's just the weird way youtube stacks replies to specific individuals, it gets confusing to follow at times, and makes the conversation seem disjointed and hard to follow. Let me make clear what I attempted to make clear in the first place. I love this song. It's deeply moving to me. I love many of Cat Stevens' songs His lyrics, both of images and emotions.touch the Eternal, and If I Laugh or Where Do the Children play could have as easily been written last week. The politics are separate

  • @huston3 I don't hate USA , but i don't like its foreign policies, its without a doubt a great country with the best universities in the world and of course some of the greatest band like Bon joVi.

  • WOW Guys... shut the FCUK up and just listen to his beats.

  • @jrcorperated YOU can listen and not read our posts--how's that?

  • these songs will always bring joy to my heart and i tear to my eye..Thankyou Yusuf <3~

  • Does allah allow this heathen stuff?

  • god I so need to meet this man. such a beautiful soul.

  • Muslims , Christians and the Jews and the others, let you believe what ever you believe, and let the God/ALLAH/Christ/Yahweh to judge you at the end

  • @hammad313 not exactly true, as killings of people who change their religion from muslim to christian is not uncommon, and the death of Salman Rushdie was called for for putting words on a piece off paper. If they would leave it to God to sort out, they'd have very few problems in the US

  • @huston3

Just visit his website, there is whole lot explanation on that issue, he never supported murder of Sulyman Rushdi, he just said it is Islamic ruling of blasphemy, and i believe no body has any right to hurt religious sentiments on the name of freedom of speech, i hated Iranian Prime minster for hurting the Jews and so Sulyman Rushdi for having for insulting attitude toward a religion

  • @hammad313 .Having a website doesn't change reality. Words spoken in this recorded world cannot be retracted, they can only be revised later, apologized for, or explained. People who have something to sell you are always suspect when a comment blows up in their face and they apologize for it. You obviously have no idea what the First Amerndment of the United States Constitution protects .

  • @hammad313

    nytimes.com/1989/05/23/books/cat-stevens-gives-support-to-call-for-death-of-rushdie.html.

  • @hammad313 You believe nobody has any right to hurt religious sentiments, but in America, we DO. We have the right to not believe in ANY religion, and to mock those who do, as they have the right to mock back. America's liberty is not compatible with Sharia law, though most of us are perfectly willing to accommodate as much of it as is. Each culture wants respect; though we cover our women soldiers, one fool burning the Qur'an, results in the death of people who had nothing to do with it. Shame.

  • @huston3

One of American Terrorist named Raymond Davis responsible for murdering two innocent Pakistani people got him self freed by using Shariah Law, One of the clause called blood money, so where is your American liberty, do you see your self free when on the airports they scan your body and see you naked ? is that what you called liberty?? i am really amazed at your definition of liberty....

  • @hammad313 American liberty IS a difficult concept to comprehend. It's a freedom like no other. Not sure what your point regarding Raymond Davis; he was tried in Pakistan, so, of course he freed himself under Sharia Law. Had he be in America, he would not have been able to do so; it would have simply turned on if he could convince `1 people his shooting was self-defense.

  • @huston3

So difficult that you can not even explain it even being born in the country or perhaps you are assured of it's fakenes, any ways i leave it up to the time to show you people how liberated you people are

  • @hammad313 If you perceive "fakeness" as being subject to mercurial changes as not having a single, unchanging attitude toward the world, I won't deny that. But to not change would put us in a relationship with women close to what Muslims enjoy in many of their countries. And I'm glad to see that change. Each generation is allowed to seek the truth and reject what they find false from their fathers, without concern for their lives.

  • @hammad313 It isn't that I'm unable to explain it; it's that I' can't explain it in a way that would make sense to YOU. Liberty in America means people are free to do what they want as long as others are not threatened or hurt. Yes, we have photo-detection screens or pat--downs at airports, ever since Muslim extremists have shown themselves capable of smuggling onboard binary liquids that can create powerful enough explosions to bring down a plane. I'd rather we all be see naked than blow up.

  • @huston3 They say if you two people do not agree on an issue, better let the two people believe what they believe , i have my own mentality, i would always resist whenever i find some one stripping me off from my essential liberty be it religious fundamentalists or so called anglo-white liberals and i wish you do a little research on that underwear bomber whose father had informed CIA and FBI about his suspicious activities but still his name was not put in the exit control list, quite sceptic!

  • @hammad313 I doubt seriously that anyone's mind is totally changed by something they read on a YouTube debate. What I would expect of most men of good faith is the consideration of serious, well-thought-out criticism, or any questions about an opposing point of view. I figure most people get there somehow, I am prepared to both admit when my reasoning has been faulty AND when my "facts" are incorrect.

  • @hammad313 It's hard to find enough friends with a sufficiently suppressible ego to continue to play for more than one exchange or two. You inability to be changed by my thoughts gives me the freedom to throw them at you with impunity, and no need to feel responsible for their effect on you.

  • @huston3 I think you sound more egoistic than i do, i never say any thing about your ability to grab the things, but wow you are a judge, you could even pass on comments, yes it's true arguments do not alter brain it makes the other person to believe firmly what they do in the first place. I think now you have lost your composure and i don't want to spoil you any more, the best i could do is not to reply you on the youtube, now you can write whatever you..

  • @hammad313 In your previous post, you suggested Americans are too stupid to 'get it," and America is nothing but a myth, and you find ME "more egoistic (sic) than (you)? America is not a religion. We are an idea. Thiss is what makes us transcendent; Ideas existed before the first religion; they will be here after the last one. The only problem we face is: we don't always recognize our enemies, because we look like everyone. If you were twenty years older than I, I might think differently..

  • @hammad313 I would expect to see you point out the flaws and, possessing reasonable erudition, offer some of the facts and reasoning that got you to the point of belief where you find yourself. Agreeing to disagree before any depth of discussion is routinely a party bereft of argument. Otherwise, how are all the people who READ these exchanges supposed to get anything from it? (The ones interested enough to read; the ones who complain, that's THEIR issue. I don't read what I don't want to.

  • @huston3

I have a question for you and i asked this to every American, why you Americans change your enemies like an ordinary male change his underwear ? the list could go in thousands from the red Indians to the Muslims. USA is the biggest terrorist that the world has ever seen, you people are like cannibals with knife and fork eating human flash..

  • @hammad313 See, part of it is Islam doesn't leave the past. You guys are still killing yourselves over a 1300-year-old argument. Nobody alive today killed the "red indians," and Muslims are not our enemies--only those who believe in bringing Sharia Law to the US.. We are not a nation of a race or a cult or a religion. We are a nation of ideas, and as anyone who thinks seriously knows, ideas change over time. So our enemies change. There were a large number of German Americans at the start of

  • @huston3 I know Muslims are not your enemy, but any one who has resources that could satiate the corporate thugs of America automatically becomes enemy, Chile in not a Muslim country nor N. Korea neither Cambodia or Vietnam was , just go and read the profitability of your war industry, Obama is just a puppet and you are just a slave to pay off for the war debts...

  • Respond to this video..WWII, but when it became clear what Hitler was really up to,, and he attacked Britain, we changed our minds (and our enemy). Of course, his ally (Japan) attacking Pearl Harbor didn't help, either. We had no intent on attacking Japan, even with the rape of Nanking. So our changing our minds doesn't make us a terrorist.

  • @huston3

I think you are a kid, now answer me just two questions ? why didn't US take any step to defend Pearl harbor when Australia had issued warning about Japaneses possible attack on harbor, how could US not expect Japan to retaliate when US attempt to Isolate Japan from the economic world, the only reason US let the pearl harbor attack is to nourish the war industry!! go on kid, preach your stupid brain washing material , the one they teach you in the school in the text books.....

  • @hammad313 If you think I'm a kid, I hope yr religious interpretation is better than your attempts to determine to whom you are discussing issues based on yr reading. It's likely my child is older than the child you think you're having this discussion with. Simple truths: There was a LARGE German-American community in the US, there was a large isolationist block, and WASPs of the time saw nothing to be gained in saving Jews. And there were plenty of capitalists making money selling arms.

  • @huston3 I do not have any religious interpretations, i am talking from the humanitarian point of view, i have mentioned the reasons why i see USA as the biggest terrorist in the world, you may support your country , as far as Jews and Israel are concerned, your government is just using them to terrify the Muslims in the middle east, Israel as shown as a threat to Suadi Arabia and other middle eastern countries so that those countries would buy American weapons and allow US army to stay there...

  • @hammad313 This sounds insane. Get a map: a globe would be better. If Israel exists to pose an existential threat to Muslims, what was the purpose of returning the Sinai to Sadat? What was the purpose of using bulldozers to pull their own people out of Gaza? Cuba has managed to live with Guantanamo Bay on its island and feels no existential threat from the US.

  • If you aren't coming from a religious interpretation, you come from a culture steeped in passing on its point of view to the next generation. In the US, the people who fought to get is OUT of Vietnam and the CIA out of its covert activities are RUNNING THE COUNTRY NOW. Every 30 yrs, we are a new country. Every 8 yrs, we have new leadership, often with a different view If the problems don't change, of course you see the same response, approach us differently, you might be surprised.

  • @huston3 I don't know how old are you or why did you bring that Fatwa controversy here, i do not support Khomeni Fatwa of killing Rushdie becaues prophet Muhammad PBUH provide security and peace to those people who insulted him and plot to kill him as he gained the power, i follow him not khomeni, this is the real Islam to forgive your enemies and stay patient through hard times rather than replying in the same way...

  • @hammad313 I don't think I brought the Fatwa controversy here-I believe Yusef did. I merely commented I like Cat's music, & wondered how it comares to Yusef's music, because he, w= called for the death of a man for writing words. As one out of every five people in the world are Muslim, it worries a land that was raised on the idea of liberty when such a popular artist sees that as acceptable.

  • Respond to this video...The rest of my comments have all been directed as blatanta misunderstandings of America.. I'm glad to hear you do NOT support the fatwa on Rushdie. If more and more Muslims like you would speak up and say that, Americans woujld breathe easier. But if you're quiet, we have no way to know if you agree with it, or if you fear them; either one of which puts us in ans awkward position in trusing Muslims. So speak up and let us know we can be brothers.

  • @huston3 I have never been quit in my life, i have always condemned atrocities committed on the name of religion , but if only people would do a little research on Islam prior to speaking on that would make things better, people tend to research a lot when they speak on Science or Arts but when it comes to Islam they don't bother to even think what affect their words would leave on the others..

  • @hammad313 Americans see themselves as busy people. When an branch of Islam decides to declare war on us, wee don't spend a lot of time trying to understand the nature of the differences between the muslims who want to kill us and other muslims. We presume that people who are Muslim and practice Islam in a different way would identify themselves and raise their voices so we can focus on our enemies. If one stays silent to help a brother because he practices Islam, even, then's no diff.

  • @huston3

According to MIT professor NOAM CHOMSKY, former president G.B Bush grandfather Prascott Bush sorry for the wrong spelling was in leading management position of a company manufacturing weapons for Nazis, may be now you called Chomsky as Marxist, socialist or Stalinist or perhaps Muslim fanatic, who so ever disagrees with your stupid American mentality naturally becomes enemy, so my question is why making your enemy stronger?? hmm must be for the sake of profit ????????

  • @hammad313 You do have a good point in that the American people do not always have the same "enemies" as the American government. We make changes because we change our leaders every 2, 4, 6 and 8 years. Our first president warned us against "entangling alliances," wishing us to be like a large Switzerland. But the ego it takes to be a politician in America (and the money) puts many of the wrong people in office. Most of us don't hate muslims, just see us being called Big Satan and r not 2 fond .

  • @huston3 It doesn't matter how many leaders you people change, all come up with the same crap, that is imposing war to the foreign land, i do not say USA is enemy of Islam, i say you people would kill any one for resources, even if its Christians or Jews, i guess we have examples from Latin America of CIA crime list, if only USA stop killing the people, no body would call them killing war machines...

  • @huston3 what Changed did we witness from Bush to Obama ?? nothing but garbage, the world has become more uglier place because of US foreign policies, a great no of people in the US are jobless, so i see a change in a worse sense, may be a biggest change is Osama bin Laden's death, but this doesn't make any difference to a sensible working class American..

  • @huston3 Labor unions are dead in USA, the capitalists have sold out the preferred living style , when i know my whole department could be outsourced to India, China or Philippians, why would i make or join labor Unions, Walmart has no labor union, caterpillar has killed them by using scientific methods of strike breaking, as far as other ideologies like islamism, communist, stalinism and socialism are concerned, they have always been treated as threat to national security...

  • @huston3

No where does the Quran say that apostate should die, there are millions of apostates living in the muslim majority countries , no body bothers to kill them, no body got the time,,,,,,

  • @hammad313 So if you are saying that Yusef Islam misunderstood his teachings, and he has apologized for the comment and does not wish death on anyone for writing words on a piece of paper, then we have no issue; as I said, I am a great admirer of Cat Stevens music.

  • @hammad313 Do you know the Quran? Are you being ironic, or unaware?

  • @huston3

It's your perception how you take it, some fanatic Americans even feel proud to burn it, or some have used it as toilet paper, but it only reflects how civilized the Americans are , like i said Cannibals with knife and fork...

  • @hammad313 If someone could talk Muslim extremists into such an attitude, there would be a number of US citizens who would subscribe to it. However, we can't control our women, and the way Muslims treat their women requires them to involve themselves into the muck.

  • @hammad313 If someone could talk Muslim extremists into such an attitude, there would be a number of US citizens who would subscribe to it. However, we can't control our women, and the way Muslims treat their women requires them to involve themselves into the muck.

  • @hammad313 If someone could talk Muslim extremists into such an attitude, there would be a number of US citizens who would subscribe to it. However, we can't control our women, and the way Muslims treat their women requires them to involve themselves into the issue.

  • @hammad313 Tenes razon, como piensan los sufies, cuando se llega al extasis, la iluminacion, poco importa si sos cristiano, musulman, judio o lo que fueres, todos los caminos que conducen al supremo son validos.

  • ive alwas wondered sometimes what it would be like if i made differant choices but thier some times im glad that i was fortunate to even have a choice

  • @clmnkth100 Choose the truth. The truth frees you from all the lies, phonies, and anything else that's fake. (John 14:6).

  • Ojala no olvides .....que esta cancion es especial para mi.

  • This man is the most beautiful man I know! Much love Yusuf. ;)

  • @patty00ify:

FYI Christians are no better than Muslims and are responsible for just as much bigotry, bloodshed and strife throughout history and the world.

  • @palpatine17 Why does it always devolve to religion? He went to a Catholic school, raised by a Greek father and a Swedish mother, and made his own way to be who he is. He is the greatest artist to EVER be in our midst.

  • @yourstrulyquilts the reason it evolves to religion, is if he decided to move back to christianity, his previous religioin would be under obligation to KILL him. That's a pretty big difference.

  • @huston3 my point being that being a great artist doesn't remove you from the responsibility for the other dimensions of your life. Just ask Roman Polanski.

  • @palpatine17 Actually, yes, they are. Because they (and most other religions, have gone through a process known as Reformation). Bringing the behavior allowed by the religion into the 21st century, where you can't stone people for adultry, or kill your daughter for leaving your religion. I fully believe that there should be a place for Shaia law; AMERICA IS NOT THAT PLACE.

  • @huston3

Dude, what are you talking about , Wake up wake up, what your government is doing in attempting to protect you, taking away your liberty by disgracing you at the airports ? as far as killing is concerned, USA has a legendray record of piloting mass murdering in the foreign land from Latin America to far east to Muslim countries, please do your home work before replying to my post...

  • Yusuf has done more for world peace in one single day than the majority of us in our entire lifes so shut up you haters and enjoy the music...

  • I am glad that Cat has found the faith that brings him peace and happiness. I want this for everyone I love. But to know Jesus Christ and His teaching, to love Jesus Christ, and then to reject Him for Mohamma and his teachings, is both strange and sad. I feel Cat knew the Truth and then rejected it. This is the only reason I am sad he is a muslim now. May God have mercy on him.

  • @patty00ify I'm sure that my Lord Christ JESUS will forgive Cat Stevens, ya know it's not to late for Yusuf Islam to see and hear... COA ...

  • @ConditionOfAnonymity oh shut up thats not the way Jesus would talk to him... can you see Jesus telling him that in front of all people?? oh shut up this is not the way true christians behave

  • @LaBlusera10 you seem to fly off the handle without fully reading my whole comment, or just doesn't understand what i wrote or what Jesus did say my friend. as you will see if you'll re-read what i wrote, i said that it's not to late for Yusuf Islam to see and to hear. think before you write next time... COA ...

  • @patty00ify God have mercy on you for disobeying his teachings. I'll school you any day if you want to go.

  • @patty00ify I am christian who are you to jugde your brother??????? who are you to tell him that ? you must be in silence like Jesus in front of Pilates why dont you learn something about being a christian? who are you? better than him? he is you brother ... keep in silence your thoughts and give them to your Creator he'll know what to do we are nothing but dust ... you just follow Jesus steps... and remain in silence

  • @LaBlusera10 , your wrong again my friend, never be silent in your faith in Christ Jesus, in fact get on the rooftop and tell the world. if in fact they do-not have ears to hear, nor eyes to see, cast not your pearls before swine, wipe the dust off your feet and turn your back on the walking dead. for they will taste the 2nd death. study more of HIS WORD...

  • I got the LP in 1975 and I still play the songs, the teaser and the firecat, how can i tell you, is written in my heart.

  • will people ever be ready?

  • Singularly beautiful and evocative...

    Thanks Cat.

  • Heart Like a Wheel

  • for those of you who cannot disconnect from his chosen religion and these songs , we are ALL entitled to go to God wherever we find Him. It seemed a strange choice to many of his fans, as it was alien to them. But fleeing a world of material reward where Mammon was the deity, a life of service to Allah seems quite reasonable. Can one overlook his blatant disregard for freedom of speech with his answer to the Salman Rusdie issue? Well, he's not an American, and freedom of speech is our thing.

  • @huston3 Yusuf Islam has no right to call for another mans death because he wrote a book that Yuuf Islam thinks offended his belief

a life times service to allah may include making death threats and agreeing with the stoning of woman and death of homosexuals but this has never been and never will be the life time service of a compassionate GOD

free speech does not say you can call for death

  • @redshirtish depends on what is said. You are responsible if you give a speech that immediately leads to death, but what Cat/Yusef said would not be actionable here, even if he was a US citizen living here. Look at how many protestors called for the death of Bush. Freedom of speech is a lot more free than you think.

  • @huston3 I can ove his music and hate his politics. No one is calling for him NOT to find God where he finds him. But when believes his God calls for the death of someone , it is the job of EVERYONE who believes in liberty to speak out against anyone who calls for another's death for words written on a page. nothing in the Qu'an calls for death for an insult to Muhammad. So, no--THINKING people CANNOT overlook his call. When Americans stand quiet, the rest of the world goes to war.Stop madness.

  • @huston3 good post agree with all you said

  • @huston3

If i investigate about holocaust , i may be thrown behind the jail where is the freedom of speech or intellectual capacity , i think it's limited like American mentality, if i support Stalin, Lenin or other alien ideas, i may be seen as enemy in public, but still it's freedom of speech, and if i defend Muslims or Islam, i am surely a terrorist, but if i mock on Islam on Muslim, yah that's right freedom of speech baby!!!
