  • Too much make-up, manicured nails and vulgar jewelery, oh yeah, and bad food. America.

(Onions take more than 4 minutes to carmelize. "And I don't have the patience for it." This recipe like her others I have seen are crap. Americans know squat about food. And why does she always say: My. My sauce. My sausage. My lasagne. Oh the horror!

  • @tpjl25 shut the fuck man you not making any sense she's barely wearing make up or jewelry. you just an attention seeker and go read a book to make yourself useful.

  • Laura, I made the meat sauce and it was delicious. I did add garlic. Thanks for posting!

  • I usually enjoy Laura's recipes but the meat sauce in this one is unacceptable. No garlic in a basic lasagna recipe? And what's up with all that nasty canned tomato sauce? Just my opinion, though.

  • @damianosimonezeta why do you have to be so mean? If you don't like the way she makes it, shut your browser down or go onto another you tube video. At least she's making an effort to put a video up and not just making mean comments on other videos. You don't have to hurt people's feelings....how would you like if you tried something new and someone didn't like what you did and let the world know it....

  • @damianosimonezeta If you watch her videos you would know that she was actually born in Italy.

  • 3 cans ?!?!?!

  • @jaymo1282 when it comes to wines the theory is if you can't drink it, don't cook with it.

  • HELLO I WANTED TO ASK...IF YOU DONT HAVE A WHOLE MILK RICOTTA THING, CAN YOU USE RICOTTA CHEESE TO

  • Your recipe is almost identical to the one I have used for years. I have never used the red wine. Next time I will try it. Looks like a nice touch.

  • I agree, she is Hot!!!

  • damn your gorgeous

  • just FYI guys, if you want to take this up a notch, you can make your own ricotta in about 20 minutes, using only milk, cream and vinegar (or lemon juice) and it SPANKS store bought ricotta. make your own and you'll never buy it from the store again.

  • Who doesn't let their 12 year old in the kitchen? by that all kids should know how to cook, I know my daughter does.

  • im like pretty tall if you fancy going for lasagna sometime

  • your awesome !! <3

  • I love your videos i tried a lot of your recipes, great recipes. But this meat sauce was little bland for me. The meat sauce I prepare is: 1 28oz can of crushed tomatoes 2 6.5 oz cans of tomato sauce 2 6oz can of tomato paste, 2 garlic cloves crushed, Italian seasoning, dried oregano, fresh parsley, fennel seeds, a little sugar(optional), let it simmer on low heat for 2hrs or more for thickness of the sauce. Please try this Laura I would love your feedback.

  • @1989clamchowder It's funny because you made a sexual reference using a food item because the girl in this video is attractive and cooking.

  • she speaks really cute........

  • it seems really delicious mouth watering......best part was... "tini tini tyni meet balls":)

  • @tbl5f i know!! that's the key ingredient!!!

  • Thank you for such a wonderfully instructed tutorial on a classic and sometimes intimidating recipe. If I would like to incorporate mushrooms into it. How wold you recommend doing so? Also, I was wondering about putting a bay leaf or two in the sauce. Yay or Nay?

  • You're amazing! I love your videos, also because you present italian food by your channel! but..yeah, there's a but :) i'm italian and I live in the city of Lasagna (near to Bologna) and you should use besciamella sauce for basic lasagna! :) anyway, you'r great! Come to visit my channel! bye!

  • The lasagna looked beautiful but there was only a quick shot of it at the end. You're supposed to get up close and personal with it!

  • what?ricotta? mozzarella?eggs?where is BESCIAMELLA SAUCE??

    i'm italian.

  • @MissEveyH yess but you´re not related to her, are you? it´s a family recipe!!

  • @MissEveyH bechamel sauce is native to the northern parts of italy.. in the south they commonly use ricotta. :)

  • @nilaya87 really?i'm sorry but my parents are from Lombardia...they normally use only besciamella sauce.

  • an cook batter than it.

  • O_O omg soooo cheesey! yum yum!

  • wtf your voice haha, what a shock

  • เดี๊ยะจับทำเมียแล้วมาทำให้กูกินที่บ้านง่ายกว่า

  • 5:35 - 5:50 double-dipped....lol.

  • At least we know that she's in the kitchen now.

  • What if you dont like ricotta what could you use as a substitute?

  • Watched the whole video and there was no showing of the final product, wth.

  • Very good recipe with wonderful flavor. Made it past Sunday and will eat it for this entire week. Extra sauce is nice to have too. Next time we are going to tweak it and add zukes just to make it an all-in-one-meal. Thanks for sharing your family recipe. :)

  • girl, you're at the right place

  • can i skip the wine??

  • If you have left over meat sauce how can you store it? Can you freeze this? I will try this on a random weekend :)

  • @AndiiCee yes, you can put them in plastic boxes, or even in bags, but do make sure you store them in a way the sauce can't get out until they're entirely frozen, than you can put them in in any way you want

  • Lol, yup, Meatball Lasagna is a pain, but its Awesome too. I have compromised and make the meatballs a bit bigger at about an inch across. It works ;)

I gotta agree with Chuck too. Def needs Garlic and a touch of Oregano. I also add herbs to the Ricotta.

  • ! Yum all up

The sound of onions cooking is awesome :o)

  • Hi Laura doesnt the lasagne cool down in these 20 minutes at the end?

  • I thought it was funny that the ad before your video was longer (12 minutes) then your video LOL. Love your videos.

  • If you have kids, they're the luckiest ones in the world .. I wish my mom could cook like you -.-

  • How about bechamel sauce? and garlic? My relatives leaves in Italy also.

  • may i ask , what can we substitute the red wine with ??

  • i made this and all my family loved it!

  • You're so pretty. :)

  • the lasagne looks very nice, like my nonna makes....but for me, I NEED the bechamel sauce on it, lasagne isn't lasagne to me without it :)

  • I love your recipes :D.... but, the original recipe is with besciamella..... Anyway, you are right. in Campania they use Ricotta! :) ..... I'm italian, so i know it! Each region has different way to make Lasagna! :D

  • @stefanologan2011 Campagna

  • @randyisnash2 Ehm, no! It's Campania! Campagna means Countryside in italian! XD

  • who is your grandmom??hahaha

  • Thank you! I just made my first Lasagna in my life and it was so delicious! I will never buy those frozen ones at supermarket!

  • @Smartass8504 thank you!! i'm glad someone sees it right. I am not exactly sure what all the hype is all about, as i have stated before, in different parts of Italy it's made with either bechamel or ricotta and in Naples it's made with ricotta. Thank you for saying it like it is! :)

  • @i13specchi i have said this probably 100 times. I was born and raised in Italy for most of my life, my family still lives there and i visit very often. I grew up in Naples and trust me when i tell you that we DO NOT make lasagna with besciamella, we use Ricotta. I will not change the title because this is classic lasagna the way we make it in Naples witch to my knowledge is located in Italy. Has it ever crossed your mind that things are done differently in different regions in Italy? :)

  • Looks delicious!

  • On your website this recipe is listed as Chocolate cake with Peanut Butter Filling and Chocolate Ganache.

  • you have a wonderful, fun cooking show

  • There is basically no meat or substance in this dish, its all cheese and pasta, not a good lasagna imo!

  • @ChocoFreak989 Stupidddd

  • Lura: Marry me?

  • It looks like you have a thermometer in the lid of your stock pot. Do you ever use it?

  • SHE DIDNT TASTE IT!!! O.o

  • I noticed that as well, but the lasagna looks deliciuos though I am not big fan of lasagna

  • this is her version of lasagnae..it looks delicious...

  • Hey I heard that you shouldn't use extra virgin olive oil cuz' that makes all the flavours go away..

  • Living in Italy ... never seen ricotta or mozzarella in a lasagne! It's just parmigiano !

  • When I grow up, I want to be Italian .___.

  • I was not expecting her voice to sound like that when the video started.

  • @honeywhenyousleep me too...

  • ummm 3 in a half hours?

  • some other videos have more color quality

  • OHH SWEET MOTHER OF JESUS IM HUNGRY!!!!

  • I am a little confussed, at the start she said it was only a basic lasagna, the the last thing she said was it is the ultimate lasagna?.

  • Olive oil is very much expensive in our country. TT^TT

  • she did her work really fast

  • Hasn't anybody really listened to what she was saying earlier? it was a recipe handed down by her grandmother and her mother, and so far everybody in her family loved it and we know italians have big families?!

Don't fuss too much with 'double-dipper'! Mommies everywhere did that in their kitchen and guess what nobody died!

I tried this recipe and it's great. I changed the red wine to Worchestershire sauce, cuz i made this for kids too.

  • What??? No garlic????

  • why didnt u cut into itttttttt?!?!@?@

  • is the red wine optional ??

    ;)

  • Im curious, how tall r u? because there was a part in this video where it looked like your husband was like, 4 feet taller then you! lol :) BTW: I <3 ur videos and have tried some! Their great :D

  • @CookingwithMaggie were is her husband?

  • This looks really good I'm out to the store to buy my ingredients! Thx.

  • I never saw a lasagna with ricotta in it, normally it should be besciamella, isn't it? And together with the onions you should put carrots and celery mixed together with the onion. Your recipe seems delicious, I'm just saying that this is not the 'original' recipe

  • how do people afford these nice kitchens and good food????

  • @Roguemember They got jobs.

  • boobs!?

  • You cook AND clean? I am in love. You are beautiful. Marry me. You can have anything you want. I will make you feel brand new every day of your life.

  • how do you know how much salt you need to add?

  • @binbingangan experience....after years of cooking you will someday know hot this works^^

  • bella pronuncia..perdona la curiosità: sei bilingue o hai semplicemente studiato e viaggiato?

  • Hi, what can be a substitute for red wine, because i dont drink. thank you.

  • @oink714 skip it , water or broth.

  • @oink714 When you cook wine the alcohol evaporates and just imparts a subtle flavor. If you could still taste the alcohol it would mean it wasn't cooked long enough. So, unless it's a religious or medical reason, there won't be any "drinking" involved if you're cooking with wine because the alcohol is gone so it'll just give you great flavor.

  • I loved the heart at the end. Like this if you like it too

  • 3:18 sound funny. HAHAHAHAHHA! is she stuttering?

  • I could've killed to see a piece of the finished thing.

  • You are a natural! Loved your food! Amazing!

  • She double dipped the spoon for tasting--disgusting--but hey whatever I guess!

  • @MakeUpByCocoChanel she is just cooking for herself and her husband, who cares?!

  • @MakeUpByCocoChanel home cooks do that sometimes. dont have a stroke over it.

  • dislike.

  • why she speak too much??

  • why do you start with the pepper? lol...

  • Love your recipes! I have one question that's been nagging at me forever though, in the original/traditional recipe for lasagnas, do you use bechamel sauce or this mixture of ricotta cheese? I usually use bechamel sauce, that's how I've always known lasagnas to be made with but I've noticed that in the US they mostly use this ricotta cheese mixture. So I wanted your opinion, are lasagnas originally made with ricotta cheese or bechamel sauce?

  • where is the GARLIC????????
