It's so hard to compare those 2 versions even if the song is the same. Both artists have totally a different past. Nina Simone has been refused to be a classical piano player because she was black. Though anyone can understand why she put so much emotion it that song. I love Christy Moore either but he's playing folk, not jazz, and we can't compare.

Nina passed away at age 70 in 2003 in France where she lived since 1993.

Great to see her work still alive.. There is a great Verve remix of this song.. I know a 3 yr old boy who wants the verison played 10 x a day. Nina would proud
