  • Enemies of the British Napoleonic Army, Ready your knees.

  • Did you ever set them in the waterloo-battle order ?

  • Impressive army!

  • +1 for commitment

  • Inspiring.

  • Is that really how big the army really was?

  • @0079Matthew Wellington had some 67000 men with him at Waterloo,so 25000 is smaller, equivalent to one of his corps that day.

  • @philchen63 True he had that many but how many were actually British troops? That's what's represented here.

  • @philchen63 He had 25000 British troops at Waterloo, excluding 6000 German ex-pats in the KGL. The rest were under the command of Blucher.

  • Imagine this on ebay ._.

  • nice hobby

  • so....much.....PAINTING!!!!!

  • cool

  • impressive!

  • boys, its time for war.

  • o m f g realy epic!!

  • @amiel169 It's called British Grenadiers.

  • @PPCLIcanuck thanks

  • Ich wollt es wäre Nacht oder die Preußen kämen- Wellington bei Waterloo , friends of Blücher

  • Please tell me you left the men sit there and never took down the models. I couldn't bring myself to so much as touch one if I had put in this kind of effort.

  • wonder how much red paint he used

  • knowing how much warhammer armies cost, this must be insanely expensive.

  • @zaneearldufour About $3,000 worth of plastic figures bought over 40 years.

  • how many people are there?

  • @endeves100 If you're referring to figures at the beginning of this video it states that there are 25,000 figures.

  • Good job! And now ADVANCE!!!

  • cool army!

  • massive army you got there friend

  • HOLY SHIT!

  • magnificent - a labour of love!

  • awsome all shall fear the power of the british

  • Comment removed

  • dont wanna be fighting them on the battlefielfld.. x.x

  • That's the amount of British troops at Waterloo, although I can't tell if they are from the 100 Days Campaign or if they're from the Peninsular War.

  • just wondering if there was a point in making so many of em? o.O

  • @Zack0 good question. My friend started painting these figures because he wanted to see what a regiment looked like at a ratio of 1 to 1. After that he progressed to a brigade, a division, and eventually a corp.

  • @PPCLIcanuck XD curriosity leads to many things

  • Napoleon was fucked before he got on the battlefield. For a master tactitian, why didn't he see his mistakes?

  • @Swordmou90 false information ...

  • Holy. Shit. The amount of work. I am impressed.

  • Emmm....WOW!

  • This makes me feel patriotic!

  • Barry Lyndon, where's he? ;) Great Job.

  • :o if only you could play few battles with them

  • if it would be on scale 1 to 1 wouldnt they be like a few meters higher?

  • @K1ps1 1 to 1 in wargaming means 1 figure equals 1 man. That's a rarity in gaming unless it's a skirmish game.

  • Bugger me, I must get the wife to watch this to show her how lucky she is ! ;)

    Amazing effort mate

  • I hate that song !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • DEAR SANTA....

  • In the end... wasn't enough.

  • Too late, the Patriots already beat you.

  • This is amazing . Well done !

  • Grr! I hate Noob boxes!!

    JK! Great work, man!

  • this is so epic....

  • Very impressive how long did it take, must of been a team effort

  • @catchthree 1 person, a few hours every evening, for 40 years.

  • @PPCLIcanuck HOLY CRAP.... O_O.... that is commitment defined!

  • YOU SIR DESERVE A MEDAL!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • you sir deserve congradulations and many hours of enjoyment from them...well done.

  • thats amazing never seen anyones army that big

  • Massive respect for whoever did this. So much time and effort has clearly gone into it. Keep it up :)

  • Can i be on your testament and own all this when you'r dead? (:

Dont wanna be facing that around the 18-19th century.. big army for just a Duke.

  • @Derunzz For a hobbyist, it's a huge army.

For the time, it's rather small. At Waterloo the Duke commanded a force almost three times the size of this one, and the French fielded over 70,000 men. Infact, the Allies lost almost this number killed, wounded or captured.

  • that music is the Ottoman army march music

  • @rruunng no it isn't, its the Grenadier Guards

  • @essexexile1

ahaa sorry they are soo similar

  • exelent job well done

  • epik

  • probably one of the best military motivational song!!!

  • must suck to be one of the soldiers in the front

    :/

  • Great video! Please, where can I find and download the regimental march? Thank you very much

  • Now imagine if all those came to life like Night at the Museum....

  • How much is that worth in total? Please respond.

  • @MrAlexanderSjostrom There's about $3600 in the cost of the figures. Unknown values when you consider paint and labour.

  • @PPCLIcanuck has there been a earth quake and they all fell down????

  • @jokertronboy they're glued down...

  • @PPCLIcanuck to be fair, i was expexting it to have cost more. then i dont know how many figures you get in one set

  • Very nice collection.

  • are there multiple armys or just one? because I find it hard to imagine finding an opponent with an army just as big.

  • Well Lord Napoleon, good luck on penetrating that .

  • Am I the only one who deeply despises the song?

  • @EpicCokeTime Yup.

  • @EpicCokeTime nope

  • @EpicCokeTime That song is awesome!

  • @EpicCokeTime Thing is though, it absolutely suits the theme.

  • @EpicCokeTime how dare you

  • but good job!! (i forgot to put that in my last comment)

  • ill stick with my low model count grey knight for warhammer 40k :P

  • good directer

  • Impressive :)

  • I got one question. How do you get the ones in the middle?

  • wow just fantastic! I wish i had the patience and skill (and money) to do something like this lol. btw. do you, or your friend keep them all laid on this table permanently? or do ya have a table with scenery and stuff?

  • Awesome display and video.

  • whiste starts (i start)

    shows army (i stop) O.o

  • nice

  • oh man thats a lot of painting

  • WAY TO MUCH FREE TIMEEEEEEE

  • @efrencrux99 Doesn't anyone read the video notes or some of my responses to comments? This is a collection of over 40 years of work. It consisted of about an hour or two painting every evening as a form of relaxation. Yes my friend (who painted these figures) had a life. He has a family with kids and other hobbies so if anyone automatically think he's a lifeless hermit the answer is NO!

  • @PPCLIcanuck Wow, great job man!

  • @PPCLIcanuck ignore these idiots, words like hard work, persistence and commitment are alien to them, thus the need to attack their betters.

  • @PPCLIcanuck My apologies good sir.. i didnt mean to insult you in any way, I did read the comments and vid description... But i had just to say it... but seriously I really didn't intend to insult you or your hobby in any way(actually Im starting to collect Citadel for a month now) anyways god speed sir

  • @PPCLIcanuck i think thhis army is very cool and you can say your friend that he can be proud of that magnificent army

  • i have dribbled all over my keyboard.

  • how long did it take to make all those ??? plz respon

  • @2filmMakers 40 years.

  • @PPCLIcanuck thanks!

  • @2filmMakers a long time dude

  • What a collection! Miniature-Napoleon just shit his pants.

  • imagine the face after an earthquake ;)

  • that's very impressive, not gonna lie

  • looks like a computer chip

  • When those drums kicked i was like O_O omg

  • He Cwazy...

  • wow thats alot of miniatures

  • holy darn mate this is...it...blew my mind after reading the "uploader comments" 40 years... i paint Warhammer 40,000 by GamesWorkshop but after watching this video it make me wanna paint a lot more!

  • @00LEGENDS00 I think historical models and gaming are neglected somewhat, though interest is growing with the internet. Personally, if I got back into collecting and painting I would go for historical (with a bit of GW still of course!).

  • All was quiet on the home front... Until Godzilla came!

Did he ever sell his collection? If so what did he make off it? I myself have painted many miniatures. But never such a organized army/set. Did he win any awards for his efforts? Or take these to a show/expo?

The troops were gorgeous but the horses could have used some dry-brushing. Still criticism aside I could never accomplish that feat. Thanks for sharing your friends masterpiece.

  • @xXamraXx no rewards or no shows or expos. He set this up in his basement. Yes you're correct about dry brushing to bring out contrast but he's not into that level of detail. Thanks for your kind words.

  • this is like the most amazing thing i've seen since.... well now that you think about it, this is the most amazing thing I've seen in my life!

  • nice army

  • Very cool, I'd love to do something like this but I don't have the patience or the skill. I've tried before haha. It's really pretty hard to paint those little guys accurately, your friend is really talented.

  • Doing somethin glike this will seem sily once Augmented Reality becomes popular. Good collection though. Cant deny you that.

  • @MaComForce 'Augmented Reality'? What the hell do you mean by that? Can't anyone just make a compliment without sliding in an insult. What the hell is wrong with you people?

  • @MaComForce Talk about missing the point completely..

  • Do you have time for any other hobbie ?

  • @GarrinchAwOw first off this is the culmination of 40 years work done by my friend. He spent an hour or so every evening after work painting these figures. It was a form of relaxation. He has a family, a business, and yes lots of other HOBBIES.

  • impressive

  • There should be a warning sign not to mistakenly sit on or flip the table!

  • the duke pwns at tabletop games!
