I think I have read remarks by John Hall saying that the current toasters are closer to the originals then they were in the '90s.I also think they were hotter at in the '90s too so you might be correct. All I know is that these are some excellent pickups and get my full approval!
Just got a 320 on eBay - wouldn't mind doing this but toasters are *ridiculously* overpriced. Like, actually.

@halberthawkins Also I think they are 7.4 ohm resistance, but there was a period where they were 12.something, but I think 7.4 is vintage-correct.

If I ever had any Rickenbacker 620 though I'd definitely carve it up so it didn't have that silly crest on the top horn.
