This was a nice song for David. Unfortunately, it sounds precisely like the other nice songs he's done, and it is getting a little boring in Archie Land. He has had three stellar performances: "Shop Around," "Imagine", and "The Long and Winding Road." The others are average. I like smooth singers, don't get me wrong, but David is really beginning to come across as Broadway or cruise ship material. I don't know that I would go to a concert to see him.

lol i've been a big fan of david's since auditions when he sang "waiting on the world to change" by john mayer & i looove that song, & he made me fall in love with it even more. and then with heaven, it just got better, and from the night he sang imagine he most definitely became my favorite. as paula said, david could sing the phonebook & we'd still fall in love with him haha.

I've never connected with Country music: probably because I'm not American. I have an album "Tina Turner Sings Country" which brings Country to me, and I love it.
But these few seconds beat that no contest. I listen again and again, and keep finding signs of David's magical talent and technical skill. The way he phrases the lyrics. His varied timing. He slides into some low notes, and hits others right on the button. And more, and all under control!!

David Archuleta is a world class artist, at age 16, he has a magnificent voice, "old" loving spirit about him, and is humble - I anxiously wait to by his CD what a blessing he is especially in the current challenging times, to hear such an Angelic and unifying voice.
I don't get the feeling that Paula dislikes David.. there's a point in this video where you can see the judges and Paula looks like she's really into it.. I think she always says positive things to David. (other than the American composer comment last week) lol
I think all the judges know that David is special and know he will be successful, and may even feel it hard to judge someone with his vocal talents combined with his youth in front of a world audience.
This was a GREAT performance. Love you David. I still think that the Long and Winding Road was probably the most important performance to date because it came after We Can Work It Out. It stabalized him again.
One thing I love about David is how he faces the judges' comments. Granted, he almost always gets praise, but he is always humble and gracious. Notice how his first reaction to Randy saying he was the best of the night was to deny it? This kid is the real deal!
David is Truely a Blessing, his vocal range has limits but the wholesomeness of his presence is stagering. His Heart is in his Voice, and when he smiles you feel warmth. God Bless You David, You are a Blessing to God.

why does everyone over-think this stuff and become so judgmental and nasty? i don't see you going up on stage every week and entertaining millions of people across the country...? plus, i honestly don't even care of david archuleta wins american idol. he's a smart kid and he's going to make good decisions and he's going to be successful no matter what. you are letting your stubbornness get in the way of hearing and be taken in by a lovely singer. if you can't do that then i feel bad for you.

This was a nice song for David. Unfortunately, it sounds precisely like the other nice songs he's done, and it is getting a little boring in Archie Land. He has had three stellar performances: "Shop Around," "Imagine", and "The Long and Winding Road." The others are average. I like smooth singers, don't get me wrong, but David is really beginning to come across as Broadway or cruise ship material. I don't know that I would go to a concert to see him.

DAVID ARCHULETA is different in the sense that he can appeal to a wider AUDIENCE...guys, girls, old, young, gay, straight. He represents a younger generation of maturity. He has everything going for him... his good looks, smooth sincere vocals, charming, young, & what a great personality. I can even see him on the disney channel as well as MTV. HAving said that i HIGHLY DOUBT "MTV" will play a clay aiken or melinda dolittle music video. & if they do, it wont be successful :-(

Archuleta fans have some work to do. Somehow they have to get many many others to vote for Archuleta in the finale. I believe the fans of the other contestants will gang up on Archuleta for the finale, which is not fair because even if it was William Hung out there in the finale against Archuleta they would vote for Hung out of jealousy. We need to vote and vote often!! ARCHULETA is the only contestant this year deserving of the title: AMERICAN IDOL.

lol i've been a big fan of david's since auditions when he sang "waiting on the world to change" by john mayer & i looove that song, & he made me fall in love with it even more. and then with heaven, it just got better, and from the night he sang imagine he most definitely became my favorite. as paula said, david could sing the phonebook & we'd still fall in love with him haha.

I've never connected with Country music: probably because I'm not American. I have an album "Tina Turner Sings Country" which brings Country to me, and I love it.
But these few seconds beat that no contest. I listen again and again, and keep finding signs of David's magical talent and technical skill. The way he phrases the lyrics. His varied timing. He slides into some low notes, and hits others right on the button. And more, and all under control!!

There are several poll sites: votenumber1 . com , votefair . org , American . idolblog . com , television . aol . com . But none of those are the real AI vote. I think dialidol . com is one to watch.
I believe David A. is America's favorite. However, A.I. has weeks to go, and they don't want us getting uninterested and not watch, so it doesn't surprise me they move their praise around to different contestants each week.
If you believe Archuleta is the best just stick to voting weekly.

Archuleta has a nice voice, but he is SOOOO boring. The tweenies screaming in the audience are actually comical, because he has no charisma or stage presence, let alone sex appeal.
If AI wants to sell to people besides the HSM crowd, they'll stop pimping him so hard. Besides, Daddy's song choices are straight off the Adult Contemporary charts, and tweenies don't listen to AC radio.
The Zero Trio need to stop overpraising this kid. Good voice, but the rest of the package is null and void.

This was a GREAT performance. Love you David. I still think that the Long and Winding Road was probably the most important performance to date because it came after We Can Work It Out. It stabalized him again.

One thing I love about David is how he faces the judges' comments. Granted, he almost always gets praise, but he is always humble and gracious. Notice how his first reaction to Randy saying he was the best of the night was to deny it? This kid is the real deal!

WOW! I almost cried when he was done! David has done it again and once again, he is the front-runner! I thought that this was a very good choice for David because he is from Utah and there are some of the most beautiful mountains there. Great job, David! Can't wait to see what he'll bring to the table next week for "Idol Gives Back".

This performance was fantastic! What a great talent. As for David's private life, all that matters is that he has a glorious talent. I don't care if he is gay or not. I agree with you on David's performance. Paula tries to praise most contestants without being overly critical, but I also believe she truly enjoys listeing to David when he sings. I am concerned about Simon, though. He has been very critical on a couple of David's songs, hurting his confidence. By the way, I love your enthusiasm and devotion to your candidate. David has my vote too!!!
