Hastings and Poirot are going down the stairs following that Stupid Inspector Gehoe and his Damn Pipe and the whole way down, Poirot is suffering in the wake of all that pipe smoke. Finally, Poirot gaging at the last step, Inspector turns to the group to announce--
" I'm Ready to make an Arrest!... What more suitable venue than the Finishing Line! BAD Luck Poirot...but I've told you didn't I. You've met the Better Man!"
-In a cloud of smoke he disappears. the Look on Poirot's face- Determined!
