Hmm...if they acknowledged the fact that Maddux chose the Cubs, over the Braves, to work for after retirement. And included those years into his career Coop plaque, he'd get the Cubs hat. As it is, I don't see him going in with a Cubbies hat unless they try to make up for the Hawk slight they threw on us Cubs fans.
@scottb3034 I don't see him going in as a cub either, Atlanta for sure. He's just my favorite player of all time. My 5 month old son is actually named Maddux. It's funny because I made this video 4 years ago haha
Honestly.. people ya'll need to get over which team he was the best for.. i'd say it was both.. as well as instead of fighting about it lets just let the course take the way.. and it should honestly unify our ballclubs more than make us fucking debate about 1 man.. (one GREAT man) but remember he helped both ball clubs tremendously! so lets put our differences aside about who he was better for and lets just remember all the GREAT things he has done on and off the diamond!
I made this video 3 years ago when he left for the Dodgers. I totally acknowledge he spent his prime years as a brave. I think you guys think I made this video because of his retirement, it was just for him leaving the Cubbies. Thanks
Greg Maddux is my favorite pitcher also. I was lucky enough that he played as a Brave when I was a kid and I got to watch so many of his starts. He influenced the way I looked at my own pitching when I was a young player. He is the most brilliant pitcher of all time if you look at pitching as an art, which you should.

As a Braves fan ..I gotta thank the Cubs management for letting Greg get away. Guess they shouldn't rely on the radar gun...eh?? Maddux is a class act all the way...great pitcher..fantastic fielder..never a question about his integrity. A dying breed...siighhh

I never liked Greg Maddux. Never was a fan of him or his teams. Now I wish I was. The greatest pitcher who no one thinks about because he wasn't involved in any drama or off the field BS. I will make the trip to Cooperstown in five years, just like I do every single year, and I will cheer for the hardest working pitcher in baseball.
He got his 300th win on the Cubs, there's something to celebrate. It is something of a downer to see him playing out the string on the West Coast, reminiscent of Joe Montana chucking passes for the Chiefs.
I'm glad that I'm not the only one who feels like the Cubs betrayed Greg and those of us who are his fans. I've watched him for 18 years, loved him through all of them, and I don't know if I will ever forgive the Cubs for letting him down on so many levels. I love Greg for all that he is, for being the best. I wish him the best in the post-season.

ok jerk, Maddux spent most of his defining career in Atlanta, maybe you should have posted some pics of him in an ATL uniform.

Greg Maddux is a good quality pitcher by professional baseball standards. Would anyone care to argue with me?

He's the greatest pure control pitcher that ever played the game.

What would be funny is the Dodgers win the WS. That would make it twice the Cubs let him get away and he goes on to a WS.

Great montage!, but expected a more upbeat song, after all he did give the Cubs great seasons... This song makes it feel like Mad Dog passed away.
