  • my 92 cx hatch gutted with a ls swap and a bunch of bolt ons ran a 14.1 before i boosted it but not bad man should be laying down some better times but great build man have fun with it....

  • i checked its b20a i thought it was a b block but for a stock prelude its pretty quick 0-60 like 7-8 seconds,i kinda wanna do heads,high compression pistons,ported polish block,cams,maybe a chip,and a tune....but if i have to get a turbo to make about 250-320 then i will but im trying not to use one because i think there to much touble with boost leaks and underboost

  • @jaunisaboss If U want that kinda power all motor I think ur gonna need more than 2 g's. Its kinda hard 2 get those numbers all motor wit a K-series engine. And FYI you only have 1 head and u cant port & polish a block. Plus all that is gonna be way more than ur budget. Ur prolly looking at 2 g's just for the block alone and that does not include clutch, flywheel, or even the basic maintance like timing belt, etc.....

    i just bought a 91 Honda prelude with a b20b motor stock only mod it has was a cold air intake....looking to build it to make a sleeper without a turbo..i have about 1500-2000 from my check from school after i pay for my books to spend on parts how good of a build could i get with that much money..let me know if you guys have any ideas on what parts would be great to buy or if any shops around the area would be great to

  • @jaunisaboss If u dont wanna go turbo I guess I would suggest throwing on a VTEC head. Are U sure it has a b20b motor, I think they came wit B20a motors and thats different from what I was using. Or the cheapest route is a nitrious kit, u can get a used one for like $300 and call it a day. But I would be careful wit that.

  • U can get some cheaper if its together but I bought a JDM b20 for $800 and rocked dat for a year and then got a great deal on a JDM b16 head for $500. It came with wire harness, dizzy, ECU, and sk2 manifold + injectors, & GSR cams.

  • hey quick question....its just that some people have a different definition on "all motor stock", are you rockin the oem b20b pistons, rods, ect in the block or did you use dohc vtec oem parts.

  • Thanks. Don't have the B20 block anymore, switched to LS and threw on a turbo (t3/t4). Still stock b16 head, GSR tranny w/ Type R LSD, but I put in JE pistons and Eagle rods on my LS block. Ran 11's on drag radials last year w/ a shitty 2.2 60 ft. More upgrades coming this winter!!!!!

  • I have a 2000 civic si with a B20 swap and my old B16 head all motor pushing 222 whp. The B20 block would bolt right up to the B16 tranny but you won't catch traction. Your better off going with the B18 tranny with LSD that's a nasty set up

  • B20, B17,B18,B16. There all basically the same. If you know one you should know the other. To make a b20 VTEC you need to get a VTEC head.

  • Yeah thanks. 100% stock, no cams, pistons and tuned with just a V-AFC II. No at the time I didn't have an LSD. But now I have the Type R LSD in a GSR tranny.

  • LOL thats because its my boys car that I raced like 3 or 4 times. You didn't notice it was a Mustang everytime. The 4 dr civic I raced only had a 75 shot. And my other boys GSR had a 75 shot

  • @poweredhonda el B20 Vtec no es recomendable revolucioanrlo mucho,pero ya te da mucha potencia a bajas revoluciones,ademas no importa a las RPM que vayas si no a que RPM de ta el coche todos los CV,por ejemplo si el coche te da 200cv @4000RPM consigues mas potencia yendo a 4000RPM que a 6000

  • you should atleast post up some dyno charts in your movie or what your build is comprised of. IMO 13.9 is fkin slow for a hatch with a b20/vtec build. Even if its just a BASIC setup I've seen hatches with b16 swap and basic bolt ons do mid 13s. Either you need proper tuning or learn to drive.

  • I ran a 13.5 w/ STOCK shit, not 13.9. I put down 183whp tuning w/ just a VTEC controller. And in case you didn't fuckin' notice I had massive wheel hop out the hole which killed my 60ft. I know I woulda ran low 13's but thats all shoulda, woulda, coulda. Plus this video is 2 years old so thanks for the genius advice.

  • Never seen a B16 with basic bolt on mods do mid 13's maybe a B16b but not a B16a

    13.9 is a very good time for a stock B20 on street tyres. 13.5 is even better! good vid

  • Thanks man. GSR tranny w/ no LSD. I used to have a sick ass D15b7 that was killin' mad DOHC's back in the day. I ran a 15.7 w/ a 2.4 60ft back in 2002-2003, with just I/H/E and chipped ecu.

  • I used stock USDM GSR cams and the head was NOT port & polished. I just re-did the head recently with SK2 valves and still didn't do a P&P.

  • i dunno what pistons your running but if you go with some CTR cams and a good tune maybe a crome pro or hondata s100 expect 200 easily . my plans for my b20 are CTR spec pistons CTR cams b16 head and im lookin to get 200 with a good tune

  • how are you gonna run CTR pistons when they are 81mm and stock B20 pistons are 84mm. They are too small for a B20. LOL, your car won't even start cause you won't have enough compression to fire it up. I'm running LS-VTEC turbo right now and on low boost it will make more than 200whp. Why don't you get the s200 or s300. I don't even make s100 or s200 anymore, you would have to get it used.

  • use a b20b for turbo and b20z for all motor.. head people usually use b16 head/tranny for b20. change the bolts to arp.

  • I didn't lose to the 4 door. The angle makes it look like that but that guy ran a 14.6 and that run I spun way too much and ran a 13.9. By the time I shifted into 2nd gear I was up a car or more.

  • stock bottom block? right now I have a b20b block with stock rods but arp bolts, ctr spec pistons bored 84.5mm hot tanked, balanced crank, block guard, crank girdle, Itr water pump, itr oil pump, itr timing belt and thas it for right now.. just bulding the bottom block.. cant wait to build the b16 head and custon tranny b16 tranny with gsr 3,4 gear and ls 5 gear son!! in my black ek9!!! ill post up as soon as its ready
