The blogger, Michael Rogers, described his efforts to "out" politicians who opposed gay rights but were allegedly living gay lives in secret. McKelway took exception to Rogers's tactics, in part because Rogers had targeted several Republican congressmen.

I don't live in the area and have never watched this station or this reporter before, so I don't know what kind of reporting he usually does or what this report was supposed to be. I'm guessing he was just supposed to report on the protest and interview the protestors. The facts he added regarding Obama and especially regarding cap and trade, while factual, seemed out of place and made the report seem more like punditry.
