When somebody says 'actually' twice within the same sentence, I will not trust anything further he has to say. Also, the differences between E1200 and E1500 are ridiculous. When Wireless-G routers could access an entire house, on all 3 floors, what more could you need? I'll tell you, a Wirless-N router by Linksys that actually has worse range than the previous generation. They have gone cheap on the parts folks, I'm now wary of any of their products, shoddy internal antennas.
will this work good connected with a sony vaio laptop, ps3, xbox 360, two smartphones and a printer?? (wont be using all at once but maybe just 3 items connected and using it?)
i only have a lap top can u still hook up a routor and how do i do that do i just plug it into my modem. now i dont have a desk top just a lap top??? please some one get back to me asap
If you decide on buying the E1200, then you watch this video, you'll probably think, "this is too bad... it won't support my Xbox... and I can';t connect my computer and home theatre system too..." The thing is: they are advertising. They say the expensive stuff is better, but the E1200 supports my Xbox 360, laptop, printer, home theatre system, and my friend's iPhone all at once. Again, don't be fooled by the prices. They just don't explain enough to make you think it works good.
@Sileosoltice i have personal exsperience with the wrt160n to my current top the line e4200 the 160n was a great router and was fast with ps3 also other pc's hooked up the same time the 160n when taxed for periods gets hot as hell and would drop net ocassionally the e4200 has a lot better cooling and dl's are the fastestive used ps3 is way faster with the e4200 over the 160n
i have the linksys e1200, i have everything setup up correctly but in the end of the setup cd, it says that i lost the internet connection, don't know what to do. i need help and also my internet provider is at&t...
Ok Maby Im A Noob bout some tech things but ok im basically gona get the 4200 router ... but my question is buying a external rounter only increases overall performance of a service providers router such as cav-tel ?

Cisco Why did you get rid of the Nice Status Lights. Maybe in the future you can bring them back, an option maybe to turn them on and off?
