  • Holy shit, wtf happened? Any well testers there? What company?

From 2010?! Shit, amazing you go work out there and they don't warn against setting the god damn lease on fire.

  • Bahahaha...anyone notice that sound from 7sec.-16sec...yeah that's the sound of a diesel engine at idle...hypocrits.

  • @47piece and what did you assume?..yer a goof anyway.

  • i'm sure the this fire doesn't amount to the amount of hippies bonfires smoke..

  • yeah but your in france so in the end your still a fuckin loser and fyi...they slick water frac in your country all the time schlumberger does it fuckin nazi fuck

  • Happy to have no oil ans no gas in my country: France !

  • keep up the good work guys hope u have another rig

  • Man there are a bunch of David Suzuki loveing , wingnuts on here ,,, live in the real world ,,, fucking socialists

  • Another sad example of the respect showed to our environment, our world, the place we all call home. I think I am trading my car in for a horse.

  • weibo and the rest of the imbred ludwigs can go get fucked,

  • Im so sick of people bashing the oil industry! where does everything you own come from? it starts with oil and gas production! Thanks to the men and women working in the oil industry everything we have is possible! Food, Cloths, Transportation, everything! this fire was a bad thing, it sucks.. but accidents happen sometimes. all we can do is learn from the incident and take all steps to ensure it doesnt happen again. If you take away the oil industry our economy dies, people starve!

  • @TWBradshaw And I am sick and tired of the oil companies holding the world hostage. You guys don't give a crap about destroying the environment, your bosses are gouging us at the pumps, we are constantly at war over oil. These accidents are happening all the time. Just look at the Valdez spill, the BP Gulf fiasco.. I say take your oil and shove it

  • @standauffish To sympathise with you, I too feel the pain at the pump and the increase in food costs. That being said we are dependant on oil. Untill you stop driving, stop taking public transit, grow your own food, make your own cloths and become completly self reliant you have no right to speak out against oil. Unless you enjoy being a titled hypocrite of course. If you dont understand any of this please feel free to study enconomics and research how you get everything.

  • @TWBradshaw I use a wood stove and fireplace to heat my house and my car runs on hydrogen. I have a very big vegetable garden out back and being a Medieval re-creationists we do in fact make our own clothes (even have a loom) So I have every right to speak out against oil ABUSE. I have nothing against oil itself... it is a natural fuel. I speak out against the greedy oil barons who control the world with their greed. What do you think all these "wars" are about in the middle east? OIL

  • Comment removed

  • @TWBradshaw No we are only dependent on oil because the oil companies want you to be under there control. We could have replaced that fuel YEARS ago, but the greedy oil barons suppress any new tech, even kill inventors or make them 'disappear' Public transit in many countries already uses Hydrogen.. problem is its companies like Shell Oil that are working to control that industry as well. Exhaust from burning hydrogen is WATER... and water can be split back into hydrogen... never run out... EVER

  • @standauffish Your a fucking idiot bud. Everything destroys the environment, people do theres too many people. Everything you've ever owned was transported to you via truck. What does the truck operate on? yes fossil fuels. Now if you want to go live in a hut somewhere and scrounge for food have a constant wood fire be my guest. We could use less of your kind around here. You dont understand the industry so shut the fuck up.

  • @cracksmackinator3000 Yes people destroy the environment, but ESPECIALLY oil people. Just drive around any oil producing area... miles and miles of WASTELAND in California with old iron equipment just tossed about..... Not even a weed grows for miles. Yeah lets do like the PTB want, reduce population... starting with the rich greedy oil bastards. Drop em in the tar pits and throw in a match.

  • @standauffish Times have changed, the environmental regulations are more strict at least in Canada. The oil companies have to put down a deposit before the well is drilled to reclaim the disturbed area. You sound like a close minded old school dummy. Now i'm not sure how the yankees do it but i'm sure its not much different then Canada.

  • @cracksmackinator3000 Viva La Canada!!!! LOL Your problem is you make assumptions with no facts. So happens I am a Canadian citizen... but your kind... you are a fossil... if oil was stopped tomorrow, the world would survive. A bit of hardship to be sure.. but change always has a price. As to the car, try looking up Shell Oil Hydrogen... they are running buses with it all over the world. And the US military is switching to synthetic oil. Last I heard they are already at 50%

  • @standauffishI don't get these tree huggers they want the oil industry to shut down and with that comes massive unemployment and the world would be chaos, no transportation. Now i understand your tiny car runs on hydrogen but try to get a plane or semi to run on that. The world needs oil without it many people would die.

  • @cracksmackinator3000 I am hardly a tree hugger... but in case you hadn't noticed the world is already in chaos, and most of it is 'wars' to secure the oil in the Middle East. Besides oil/fuel costs are so HIGH right now, when there is in reality a GLUT of oil... that people are loosing jobs and homes because energy costs are too high, and China has a better offer for corporations. Even Apollo 'hero' Buzz Aldrin is working with the Chinese on anti gravity tech :D

  • @TWBradshaw totally agree with you, sometimes i wonder if people think everything is magically made and put on shelves for them to use

  • I don't normally put in my 2 cents but after reading what some of you have posted I feel I need to!

  • I saw Ludwig in the Beaverlodge post office. I was going to punch him but my son was there. Could probably do it and get away with it too. I can't see anyone being mad. The fucker should be shot with balls of his own shit.

  • l'v seen this first hand. And Also thee Compressor Station that exploded this summer just north of edmonton. l was 2km east on a pipline inspection its not a good feeling knowing your going to die or juet get lucky.

sends a shiver down my spine, l don't know about anybody els

  • wow

  • Aw gee - did the poor oil tycoon loose out?...... ha ha ha.... hope it happens to em all!

  • thats my old rig

  • our regulations are alot more strict then te states. the well was kicking so the only safe thing to do was to light it up, that is what saved alot of lives in the area. The oil company did the right thing. for the record, i also do enviromental clean ups. i also work in all aspects including pipeline construction and lease and road building. i take pride that i am very green friendly and always choose ways that will ensure a planet that my kids and grand kids can live on.

  • whats a ludwig?

  • ok i cant say i know about the regs in alberta but im assuming they are close to those as the states have and the ignorance of some of these comments astounds me

  • 0:08 CUMMINS

  • Evidence of poor management and regulation? How bout the water shortages in that area from all the frac jobs?

  • anyone hear the cause i know gas came up around the casing

  • i was workin on this well a couple of days ago... should be abandoned hopefully tomorrow lol

  • You doughnut heads have tunnel vision. This industry is poorly managed and destroying the usefulness of the land in Alberta. Set aside the wastefulness of our energy consumption and the fact that fossil fuels are causing the climate crisis the people on the Earth are experiencing, and just look at your collective comments. Ignorant hateful Albertans. I don't miss your lot one bit. You'll get what you deserve when fossil fuels are severely depleted and Alberta is scarred and broke. :(

  • @CamTheCat Please provide evidence that the industry is poorly managed and regulated, Alberta has some of the best drilling practices in the world. I am very conversant with the regulations, are you? I have put sites back to bed and guess what? You would never know they were and industrial site, so please tell me more about destroying usefulness of the land. Alberta scarred and broke? I think not, when the resource is scarce thats when it costs more. Look forward to being jealous in the future.

  • @MoronicCarter Recent studies show very high and dangerous levels of pollution and irreparable damage to the landscapes. Best practices compared to what?

  • @CamTheCat Who did the study? Weibo? I think you should show me which one(s) you are talking about. And best practices compared to the rest of the world I think thats obvious. You know I work in this industry, I love it when an "artist" gets on on an environmental kick...you know so much more about whats right for the rest of us. Can't wait for all those revenue dollars from musician/freelance artist such as yourself to pave the roads, fund the hospitals and build schools

  • @MoronicCarter According to a 2001-02 Statistics Canada report, with an investment of $6.8 billion from three levels of government, the arts and culture sector directly employed 740,000 people and generated $26 billion for the economy.

The arts and culture sector employs as many people as the combined sectors of agriculture, forestry, fishing, mining, oil, gas and utilities.

  • @CamTheCat ...and who exactly pays the admission price? You need people actually working and making something useful that can be sold for money. Statistics can be bent anyway you feel like, and how much of that money you quoted was construction workers building massive civic projects for the "arts" that will require the grandkids to pay off? ...its our toil that provides the hard currency that so many other provinces depend on for equalization payments.

  • climate change is as old as the earth, it's gonna happen whether we burn oil or not. what do you want, everyone to go back to horse and buggy days? The world's economy would collapse, food production would be impossible with the way the industry is run now, and millions of people would die within the first month at least. Quit being a moron. These people are just trying to make a living.

  • @CamTheCat It ain't gonna be in my lifetime, so I really don't give a fuck. I'll be out there poundin' holes into the ground until the day I die or my body is too fucked up to do it anymore.... And just for you being a stupid little twat, when I get back to the rig I'm going to pour a five gallon pail of oil out on the ground and knock a few trees over with the loader. Go fuck yourself

  • @Sklurr and here we have a good example of what we're up against folks. We're pretty much banging our heads against a wall with champs like this guy as our discussion buddies.

  • @CamTheCat You're an idiot. You obviously do not possess a working knowledge of Alberta regulations and are making uninformed statements based on what little information you have gained through various biased sources. From clearing the lease site right down to the reclamation of that piece of land, every last thing is documented and dealt with immediately (and properly) whether it is a spill, damage to equipment, an injury, etc. Apparently you're up against more than you bargained for.

  • @Sklurr I don't care if you document it. Documented pollution and destruction of land is the same as if it wasn't documented. But I am up against much more than I bargained for. I was bargaining for less, and got more. Great cliche.

  • @CamTheCat Apparently you don't possess the ability to fully comprehend what a few of us are saying to you. Read what I said again: " documented and dealt with IMMEDIATELY AND PROPERLY." If there is a spill it is cleaned up. Meaning that if it is on the soil, we dig it up and dispose of any contaminated soil to prevent it from seeping into the ground. And please, do some research on reclamation before you make another ignorant statement

  • @Sklurr were you able to reclaim the toxins that were spewed into the air in this video? ;)

  • @Sklurr were you able to reclaim the toxins that were spewed into the air in this video? ;) I guess it's like magic, putting the ecosystems right back to the way they were, the aquifers back to having no holes punched through them.

  • @CamTheCat Give it a rest. To put it simply, we take every possible precation to prevent things like this, but like anything else in this world, it isn't going to be one hundred percent successful. But keep in mind, every luxury you enjoy in life creates pollution in some way, shape, or form. If you want to save the planet, you might want to go live in a log cabin eating raw meat and berries for the rest of your life

  • @Sklurr it's not all or nothing. we can't have our excessive luxuries forever, but the alternative isn't living in cabins. There is another way that is more sustainable. Anyways, the planet doesn't need saving. It'll be fine when we're gone.

  • they were changing out the bag ! chances of a kick when that takes place are slim to fuck all but ti happened . So to all ya grennies ....get the fuck over it !!! Ludwig n his crew should just fuck right off from there n go home considering he doesnt like sour gas to begin wit lol .... you greenies make me laugh ..... homos

  • @donmac55 another fine example of Albertan haters. Keep on representin' homie!

  • wow thats got to be good for u i can see why mr ludwig is upset a man moves away for the most part away from civilation to be at one with naturer and look what happens he cant even do that

  • Hmmm, it's usually thesafety guys trying to get the pictures, and the crews trying to interfere! lol

BTW, don't they do well control out there?

    How deep was the well?

what happened to the mud and the BOP's?

  • cam the cat, . listen closely, not only am i consultant in the oil patch but i also sell and install wind turbines and solar power. you moved away from this province, and i feel we are richer for that, what ever hole you crawled in to stay ther, if you do no tlike the way world is run, feel free to move off of it, hell , i think you have insulted enough people on here that they wil help out.

  • @lafn1 listen closely. I don't care what you think.

  • wiebo is a fuckterd bitch , he will get coming to him what he deserves oneday. fag kills karmin and then hides behind his inbred terdheaded family. taint suckin ballsack drives a expedition gettin 9 miles per gallen and he bitchs about the evil oil companys ,fuckin twat .

  • Re: CamtheCat. I hate internet tough guys. Anyway - get over it. THE WORLD is addicted to fossil fuels, can't live without em, and they run all of our economies. You probably have a picture of David Suzuki above your bed. I'm quite sure you would be hooped if there was no oil or gas. Not only to heat homes and run cars, but to run logging equipment, or power-plants or anything un-associated with 'the patch'. Blowouts happen every day, all over the world. YOU need to dig deeper.

  • Thank you madmatt73. For startes my grammer, spelling an typing do suck. That dose not make me a moron or retard. Thats for you fuck heads that have nothing to say but feel they have to pick apart something. As for the well, he shit happens, webio didt do this, it started down hole.

  • There ya go being an internet tough guy again. I never said anything about your grammer or your intelligence. Don't waste my time, if all you wanna do is be a tough-guy. Also, I never said Weibo did it. Obviously the kick got out of control. No one except Grizzly Adams can live without oil and gas, so get over it.

  • I wasnt talking to you about my grammer, iam on your side. i work in the patch. i was just stating that my grammer sucks and such. that way when that fur ball cam the cat tries to point it out he will be a dumbass for stating something that was already stated. So easy, it buy no means was directed towards you.

  • @maddmatt73 correct. I have a big poster of Suzuki over my bed and when I do it I look into his eyes. Seriously, I get what you're saying. Not denying our addiction to fossil fuels. Sucks to be our children and their children and we pass peak oil and leave then a planet far more damaged and polluted than we inherited from our parents.

  • I'm so glad I moved away from Alberta. Albertans are putting up with this industry's fumblings. Lord knows why.

  • So when yu drive your car with gasoline in it or heat your house ... theses fumblings are a pain !! Go back to your living in the woods and horse back life fool. This industyr is regualted and like any other industyr it has it accidents

  • Geothermal, solar, electric vehicles, commute by cycling and walking. The vast majority of the population living in cities have these and similar options. You country folk will have to get used to the coming energy shortage in the decades ahead. Stop defending a poorly regulated industry and dig a little deeper. There are problems with current CBM drilling and the people of Alberta are the ones who will pay. Fool.

  • You are such a stupid fuck. If you want to ride a bke you need rummber tires, a frmae made of some sort of metal and a hard packed surface. all wich invole useing lartge mining equipment, trucks for delivary and anything that is plastic to protect your head. these all require oil and gas to either run or produce the prodect. So go out to the bush naked kill a fox bare handed and wera it for a loin cloth and start you own homestaed from fuck all. then you have a leg to stand on.

  • Skiddie, I don't need "rummber" tires to ride a "bke", but you do need to think before you type, unless you enjoy appearing to be a few bricks short of a load.

Of course our civilization relies on petroleum products, and we will continue to do so. I'm not suggesting we walk away completely, as you seem to assume I was implying. I just want to see the industry better regulated. Rather than assume that any criticism is synonymous with attack or complete opposition, try critical thinking.

  • skid: Apologies for all of the big words in my previous reply. There are dictionaries you can find on the inter-webs that will help you understand what they mean.

  • Well first of, i stated earlier dumbass that my grammar and spelling are shit. that means they are shit and i dont try to pretend to be smart. go hide behind your saxophone and pathetic music teaching degree. as for better regulated why dont you go and try to make the changes. come get a patch job, work you way up and try to make it better. But i know you wont cause your a pathetic bitch who wants to ride his bike around to make it better.

  • Comment removed

  • they should have let weibo side arm that shit! then he could have gotten out some pent up anger that i bet is brewing in there, and well the rig was gonna have to burn anyways. That would have been truely gangster! getting two birds stoned at once!

  • Having someone sneak around to film it causes enough trouble for everyone.....too bad a wellhead bolt didn't fly off and get the camera operator.... could save us all alot of trouble.

  • @funseeker21001 "...and get the camera operator..." That's great. You think it would be better if those recording this problem were "got". I assume you mean killed. With that attitude you could probably get hired in the patch!

  • ya i wish a well head bolt would hit the camera guy. one less idiot in the world for us to have to share the air with. You to cam the cat, go fuck daddy webio, suck momas cock and cry innocence. This is the worl today and deal with it. otherwise go jump in the fire.

  • Nothin' beats a hateful ignorant jerk that hides behind internet anonymity. Thanks for voicing your opinion skid. You've really added to the discussion here. Way to represent. ;)

  • well if you want to meet in per4son iam all for it. You come to grande prairie, and we can make something happen. I should be back around the 17th. and we will see how tough and smart you are when it comes face to face. Oh and hateful ingorant jerk, whjy thank you. go hug your tree and chase a rainbow

  • I think the black smoke is from the invert tank farm burning, the flame itself is clean

  • @rocky70064 "clean"?!?! That may the industry term for it, but really it's anything but clean. That's like McDonald's "100% ALL BEEF" brand. Not technically 100% beef.

  • I've had a rig burn down, its not cool, fun or exciting. As for the camera guy, step 10 yards off the road and they cant say a damn thing. The Oil co has the loc, and the road. The have no authority elswhere.

  • i agree with nakisu i live in tomslake and it isnt weibo... i was just a fucking blow out. thats all ..

  • Well there is one Centrifuge I won't have to rig out...lol

  • What does Gerrys300 stand for? Is that how many cock you had in your mouth? Lets not forget Ferrys300 weibo is a killer. If you support him you support imbread killers. Oh ya I think that you are a Queen, and I also think that cowboys buts drive you nuts. Conspirit that hillbilly.

  • i heard it was weibo to,

  • Comment removed

  • Weibo didnt have shit to do with this you tools. It was an industrial occurrence. They dont allow cameras on any industrial accident unless the `brass' has them. pictures get out and people do exactly what you people are doing, talk out of their asses. (To the obvious people only of course)

  • oh..and for the record.....Garry you are a fucking idiot.

  • Comment removed

  • umm, if you know anything about the oilfield. when a blowout like this occurs, the oil company can not allow gas to pour into the atmosphere. so they light the gas, so it burns off clean. essentially burn the rig and all the equipment on the lease.

  • don't you think that weibo would have done something like this years ago before anyone knew who he was if he had the capability? anyone who says weibo did this and its not a kick is a moron. work the patch fo a few years and you'll know this to

  • nice. guess I'll be breathin that for a while as I live downwild.I don't support weibo but without that video all I see is alot of smoke drifting my way.

  • rot in hell weibo

  • @djussila we'll all rot if the industry has its way.

  • @s2who The industry that employs thousands of Albertans like my family? That industry?

  • if these ludwigs dont like the industry around here, please feel free to pack up and leave you bunch of wierdos. you were kicked out of the states, and kicked out of 2 other provinces, I am sure another country or nwt would take you . Bunch of Inbred Retards.. and yes I am serious about being Inbred Retards.

  • @lafn1 if you cant beat them join them.. you sound like weibo now...at least he had a point...whats yours?that weibos a retard...if thats all you got you may be retarded as well. go get checked out.

  • everyone was evacuated for safety, and these ludwig morrons snuck around trying to start shit. this rig went up for safety reasons. we know weibo was not involved, but he is not helping now. this was a accident, and is being handled by profesionals. we do not need morrons like these ludwig 's tryign to start shit. there was no sour gass once it went up, which was the safest thing that could happen.

  • ...............

  • I Think that Garry is a retard. Who would burn down a rig so they could set up a homo like weibo. Dam conspiriters.

  • @Sniperoil duh simpleroll........remember when the queens cowboys and the oil company combined forces to vandalize some sites.........dam conspiriters (your spelling)

  • wanna bet they did it themselves and will now blame weibo?

  • PD284

  • cnrl site

  • Typical safety guy something finally happens and they think they have all the power to tell people what to do, maybe he should realize those guys with the camera weren't actually on the site, and being on a road is fare game for videos and pics !!!

  • not when it was evacuated for safety and these guys were going out of the way to start trouble and hold things up, the concentration should be on the well, instead of morons trying to start shit, they were told to leave for a reason, it was for safety, these guys tried there best to put the companys workers lives in danger. I think they have done that enough.

  • Im just down the road worken on the 130RR for Advantage we seen the sky go red and its still red.

Anyone know what they were doing when it happend and who the oil/ service companies involved were? any details would be cool

  • well kicked,

  • finally!!! the shower truck guys got too do something!!!
