Ive been getting mixed commentary on this video, by now people can say what they want because quite frankly, I regret these videos now and feel like a fool too. I was about 16-18 around the time frame of the videos.

Aw, don't feel like that. You can be a fan girl at any age, so don't be too hard on yourself. :-) Celebs can either be gracious and self-effacing in the company of fans or they can be a little stand offish, like Andy was here. I think people do themselves a disservice when they treat fans like this. Bette Davis-huge as she was-said it was an honour to be held in such high esteem.

Today's spoilt stars miss that whole thing by being arrogant. At the end of the day, Im sure celebs-being human like the rest of us- have their own heroes and Im sure they'd be disappointed if they were treated poorly by them. Andy doesn't look comfortable with the attention..that's his issue, i guess. You were just being a kid and you were star struck. Happens to us all.

Aw thanks :) Yeah but ive knwon Andy and TLI and other SNLers for several years now, and these videos are just friendly videos with inside-jokes that I put up for myself to keep, and my friends to have too since some are in them. Andy is NOT mean at all, he has fans swarm him and pull him by the arm every other second for picture. Im trying to do a film on TLI right now, and he has been supportive of it

Em, yes you do. The rewards are great and you get pampered. You either enjoy that and lap it up for what it is-like George Clooney-or you get carried away with yourself. I mean, no one swarms round the surgeon who saved my gran's life...keep it in perspective. You obviously touch people in some way. As an entertainer, you must know about the adulation and loss of privacy before you sign on, surely?

All of the above are huge celebrities in their own respects, and all 3 also filed for Chapter 11 bankruptcy and different times in their lives.

If i'd said that celebs were immune from failure and financial ruin then, yes, you would have proved me wrong. But i didn't say that. I said that the spoils of being a successful entertainer outweigh the negatives. Any honest person in Hollywood will tell you that people invite craziness into their lives. So i don't feel sorry for them. When was the last time you heard Dame Judy Dench complain about paparazzi intrusion? And she has a highly successful, distinguished career.

Im cynical when it comes to whiners. I do not think famous people should be followed around incessantly. I think that is insane. But, ultimately, you choose your life; and if you value privacy and anonymity, then become a director or writer, or just do an ordinary job. p.s. Mc Hammer openly admitted that he had it all and threw it away by making stupid financial decisions.

I think you'll find i did: i said that some celebs view the attention fames brings negatively (look at my other posts). My argument: that it's a plummy job and if you're going see the extra responsibilities , i.e., dealing with the public, as a chore, then don't go into it! If i haven't made myself clear in other posts, i hope i have now. :-)

just remember: no one "signed up" to be a celebrity, as you stated before, andy signed up to be a cast member on SNL. something can suck, like cannabl1ss said, but one can be professional and even if a part of your job sucks, you still do it with a smile on your face -- if you think this stuff isn't a chore, you're kidding yourself. its easy to comment from the outside like we do but you dont know what its like to do with this constantly wherever you are. he handled it fine too
