  • ZZzzzzzz

  • Good video but... you just made the biggest SOMEONE COME WARDEC MY CORP video ever...

  • @Calkura Hehe, nice one.

But this video is about 1.5 years old. We live in 0.0 space for a long time now. War decs do impact us slightly but not very hard. Besides that we also do have a PVP wing which operates in Alliance CTAs and roams successfully :)

    Fly safe o7,

    Laand

  • Great video man. But... a promo video for a mining corp is pretty boring.

  • Fantastic

  • Fantastic...

  • How do you get such smooth camera movements in your shots? Is there some trick to the advanced camrea menu?

  • @JXZjeremy basically you define another ship as interest (ship to be filmed). This option comes with the advanced camera settings and can be accessed via right clicking the ship. Now the camera will always focus the designated ship automatically. Normally this ship (or e.g. jump gate / planet / POS ) doesn't move. All I have done is moving my ship slowly sideways to the focused ship which results in the smooth movement.

  • @JXZjeremy ... however it is not as easy as it seems to get good shots.

Firstly you can move the camera position around your own ship via the mouse and it's scroll wheel which can be a bit tricky.

Another very annoying thing is that the camera makes an -360 degree move when it's direction changes from 359° to 360° (= 0°). Meaning the camera moves from 0° to 359° but not further. This destroyed so many shots I made and forces you to make test movements.

  • I saw you mention something about a real life, where would someone acquire one of those?

  • @awahata It's still on hold as far as I know. Please read our forum and drop by in our Info Channel "Fleetworks Info".

@N1KOD95 I made some comments about that here already. Basically I used Fraps to get the raw shots and Sony Vegas for editing. More detailed info in said comments.

Thank you both for your interest.

  • how do u make vids like that

  • are you recruiting now?

  • good vid.. i may return to eve in 2months... if your still existing by then i shall try and contact you in-game ;)

  • Damn nice recruit vid. Glad this popped into my recommended vids lol. I have a question though. I'm not primarily in manufacturing at all, would you still take someone who wants to pvp mainly? All my skills are currently trained to gunnery and such.

  • @nanakon28 Hello. Yes we also recruite PvP pilots but sadly our recruitement is closed presently. I can't tell you when it will be open again atm.

Please drop by in our forum or info channel or contact one of our directors for more up to date information.

  • Thx again for comments and ratings.

    I updated the video description.

  • Wow. Killer video.

  • Damn well done vid!

hey question, how do you record the in game footage like that?

i have Vegas Movie Studio HD, but im clueless on how to record directly from the game like that. any tips?...

  • @Valor773 Thank you for your comment :)

... and I used Fraps (trial) for recording the raw clips. Sadly I can't make any comment to your Vegas Movie Studio HD because I don't have it/never used it.

Also look at older comments I made here.

  • Thank you all for your comments :)

If you look for a corp with a bunch of good people make sure to visit our Ingame Channel 'Fleetworks Info'. Read video description for updated details.

  • real nice vid

  • great camera work

  • carebears

  • great camera work really nice vid

  • Excellent camera work, excellent editing, excellent quality resolution. A promotion that's a cut above the rest, you should be proud! :)

  • *sings:

And I'm proud to be a Fleetworkian,

where you'll buy my ore from me.

And I won't forget the Orca Pilot,

who gave that bonus to me.

    And I'll gladly fleet up

next to you and pew rocks all night long.

'Cause there ain't no doubt I love this corp,

    CCP please ban GoonSwarm!

  • Ok great, thanks for the info. Final question, what is the asteroid at the very start? I don't do that much mining anymore; occasionally mine some veld in high-sec for freighters i make. Is it like Arkonor, Bistot or Crokite?

  • It is a Hedbergite rock. I made a shot of Arkonor (has red crystals) and Spundomain (shimmering green crystals) too but the Arkonor isn't as nice looking and the background of the Spundomain shot was too bright, so I used the Hedbergite clip.

  • Very nicely done. Been thinking of making another eve video myself. Did u you use Fraps and then Sony Vegas? If so, what resolution settings etc did you use as this looked fantastic in HD and Fullscreen?

  • 1. Thx for the kudos.

    2. Yes I used Fraps to acquire the raw clips and then Sony Vegas Pro (version 8.0 I think, 30 day trial) for editing. The resolution of the raw shots are in 1600x1200px. Ingame I used the "cinema mode" (I mean the black bars you get at the top and bottom screen), so the image (without the black bars) was 1600x800px. In Sony then I cropped each clip to 1280x720px which is the resolution I rendered the video with (HD-720-30p-6Mbit/s as WMV-file). MPEG2 render was much darker.

  • To add:

A 30 seconds clip (maximum with Fraps trial) with the 1600x1200x resolution had about 880MB, whereas most raw clips were about 15-20s long.

    My PC is a Intel QuadCore Q9950 @ 2.83GHz with 4GB RAM running Windows 7 x64 Professional.

  • QuadCore Q9550 I mean

  • I ended up with about 56 Gigabyte of raw shots (that's with the bad/test shots already deleted) and often played around with different clips and clip order.

  • A+

Really makes me wanna join...but ill have to re activate my account =)

  • Hehe, make sure you drop by in our channel 'Fleetworks Info' if you decide to play EVE again :)

  • very awsome job well done... this vert btw

  • Thank you very much :)

  • Niiiiiice!! Great job Laand
