For some reason I love that deeper one. I'm still new to learning the Ocarina, but so far I have two: a 6 hole and a 12 hole. Both are soprano. I never realised just how beautiful it would sound lower. Maybe starting lower would help me to conquer my squeaking issue on the really high notes. Geez.

They aren't, lol. I was just underblowing. The problem shows itself a lot more on the higher notes. the lower notes sound okay if you breath softly, but when you get to the higher notes it just doesn't do for high queality recordings.

In the first song, David used a maparam alto c.

I used a Maparam Double Alto C in the second and third songs. David used a Maparam 12-hole Alto C in the first song, and that one I was using in the first song was a Menaglio Sol4. Boy oh boy did I like that Menaglio ocarina. =D

David wouldn't let me keep it, though. =(

@lxktn1989 Do you mean the Maparam Double or the Menaglio? Both are incredible ocarinas.The Maparam isn't too difficult to work with, but the Menaglio is a bit demanding of technique. It takes a lot of breath pressure, but if you're up to it, you'll be rewarded with incredible resonant and warm sound. =]
