WTVG 13 here in Toledo has the same radar and the increased sensitivity they talk about is only effective at close range to the radar. farther out the sesitivity decreases due to the fact they only have 350,000 watts. The beam may cover the entire state but the data is much less accurate farther out from the beam as it travels higher in the sky. If you buy into the hype they would have you think NEXRAD is rendered obsolete.....not true.
