The real issue here is how the car reacts n reverse at speed. There have been several events most of them even scarier than what we saw last Sunday at Atlanta of the new car turning around and flying the friendly skies. I think the wing should hinge forward. When someone gets turned around (which happens every race) the wing acts like an air brake instead of a plane ticket

Carl Edwards should have been fined $100,000 and put on the sideline for 3 or 4 races and on Probation for the remainer of this season. I am shocked and disappointed in NASCAR's non-penalty discipline. You better quit selling seats along the front stretch if you're gonna allow this to become bumper cars at 200 mph because we all know it's just a matter of time until families are injured due to unnecessary crashes. I agree with Kyle Petty's assessment and he's been there all his life.

Go look up "Carl Edwards Talladega Crash 2009" in the search box up there, watch what Brad does to Carl, watch his white gloves in the windshield, watch Carl put a gap between him and Brad and watch Brad purposely turn into him... then watch Carl Edwards run across the finish line to finish the race... then Someone tell me that what Carl did was wrong. besides, if the spoiler was back on instead of the wing, Brad never would have went airborne. The wing has been causing too many problems anyway.

If he hadn't gone for the double-block, he would've at least gotten a top five finish. But no, he did the double block and he paid the price. As Kyle Petty said regarding the similar incident between Kyle Busch and Tony Stewart at the finish of the 2009 Coke Zero 400, "Block me once, no problem. Block me twice, you're going in the wall." The same thing happened there, too.

I'm not making any excuses for Keselowski. If he is wrecking people regularly he should be fined and suspended races. However, this a wimpy decision. One of the most flagrant take outs in Nascar history and all Edwards gets is probation for 3 races. He should have been suspended for 3 races and put on probation for the rest of the year.
