yeah the letter said "you are free to do what you want" and then around that time Angela was in the picture. At least we got 3 good albums out of Johan it's a shame how downhill they went.

@Thrasher657crew That's the silliest reasoning I've ever heard. Johan is gone because he wasn't the right vocalist for the music. He was more thrash than death, and AE is more death than thrash. Angela fits them a whole lot better, because of her ability to keep that death growl aspect to it. Johan may have been great, no doubt, but he was never going to take AE places.
@Rage00Against I couldn't disagree more strongly. Johan was dropped because of lame band politics. The current vocalist married the main guitar player, which might have had something do to with the change. Johan fit the band's musical style far better IMO, and saying Angela has a more "death" voice is crazy, it isn't any more death than Johan's.
the first AE album I heard was doomsday machine (with angela). I was told that johan's voice was shit, but that is a fucking huge lie!! I love angela, but man, johan is insane, I love the re-recorded songs with johan's voce way more that with angela's!!
I miss Johan's vocal prowess.

the first album of AE i bought is the one with john liva..
in that recording the sound was too nice..
but when i seen this video..i like john liva voice..
his vocal were raw ya..and suits AE for concert..
i think liva voice similar to entombed vocal..and i like that..
