  • I first heard this when Donald Duck sang it in a cartoon episode while making pancakes...

  • this sounds so funny

  • I hear this every Sunday :D

  • she is amazing

  • God this movie fucking SUCKED. And my mom, a huge Garrison Keillor fan, felt the same way.

  • @kettner3000 Yeahhh. Hollywood butchered a great thing. :\

  • I wish they'd included this number on the soundtrack release.

  • lolz funneh

  • At 0:46 Meryl did mess up the words but the director of this film is famous for leaving in mistakes that the actors make because it makes it seem more real.Just thought I'd clear that up for everyone. And also, how gorgeous is Meryl in this movie!I love her hair and she just looks so young and glowing.

  • Thanks for posting, I love this song!

  • That were like the best 25 seconds in the whole movie LOL

  • This is actually my favourite film ever haha !!

  • I love me some rhubarb pie!

  • very cool!

she looks sometimes really ... ;D

    from what movie is it?

  • "Nothing gets the taste of fear and humiliation out of your mouth like a slice of rhubarb pie."

  • they if you listen to the guy they say "maybe things aren't as bad as you thought"

  • Yeah! -5! Take that! For posting something I don't agree with/didn't want to read!

  • well jeez - I love Meryl, but you have to admit she mumbled that line... Not that it's a bad thing, I just wanted to point it out.

  • Streep does sing "mammy" at the beginning of the song... then sings "mommy." If i remember correctly the musical numbers for this movie were filmed live in order to preserve the quality of, and to present in the fashion of, Keillor's real radio show.

The real show is recorded live and mistakes are made every week - including mis-sung lyrics. Just accept it as part of the charm of A Prairie Home Companiion.

  • so funny song!

they have a very good voice together!

    lovely!!

  • what! no longer available?? WHYYYYYYYYYY

  • Available for me. Try again )

  • Haha Its Says Mammie.. like Mum Lol!

but does sound like it though

  • no im pretty sure it says mamie . cause even look at her lips when she sings it says mamie.. i wonder if you can get the lyrics on youtube :O hahaha!

  • did anyone notice that at the starting of the chorus she says " mamies little baby love rhubarb rhubarb" and the second one she says " momma's little baby loves rhubarb rhubarb" ! :)

thats weird!! since it says mamie and thats like her daughter!!

  • i thoguht the first time she said Mabel's little baby, then the second time she says Momma's little baby.

  • Aww I Love the Way She Sings "and that is a piece of a rubarb pie" love the way she says "pie" its adorable.

Any1 know where i can find this film to watch on youtube

  • =)) you can't watch films on youtube, 'cause youtube videos are limited to 10 minutes.

  • Yeah I Know But People Upload films onto youtube and the clips are like 9 minutes long. I just want to know if any1 has uploaded the film on youtube so i can watch it. coz it looks like a good film

  • FIRST OFF, i want to say how beautiful meryl is in this film, just like all the others. and to answer your question emiibabe, yes, you can probably watch it on cartoonworld29's channel, there is like 15 to 20 meryl streep movies posted there.

  • @zoffus theres a 13 hour long video on youtube. Not in segments either, its the whole 13 hours piled into one video.

  • @zoffus not limited to 15 minutes any longer. Many many hours now for mature youtube accounts

  • Oh sweet memories this brings me... the first time I heard this song, believe me, was in a Donald Duck cartoon, when I was 5 or 6. I remember Donald was baking some pancakes while singing it.

  • LOL omg this is what i get for typing in random things

  • The title should be "Bebop-a-riba Rhubarb Pie"

  • Sorry, that's "Bebop-a-rebop Rhubarb Pie"

  • Thank you!

I am from Russia, so my English is poor, and it was very difficult to understand what are they singing. Especially in this case =)

  • No problem. Most Americans have problems understanding the northern accent.

  • lol what
