This program is so ridiculously frustrating! On my version the default save location for exported videos was under some temporary app data folder that was impossible to locate. You have to click on "output name" to choose the name AND the save location. Horribly unintuitive and frustrating... I had been pulling my hair out trying to figure this out! :(
@HNNproductionz You have to select the sequence or you can't click media, or if you have older version, i'm not sure if Media is the way you export it.
I have a question about what the audio-settings should be when exporting a h.264 720p video? the sound sounds nothing like in premiere in all the files I've tried to export. also I was wondering why my encore freezes each time I try to import a mpeg-2 file (of large size, 11GB). it's really frustrating. thanks!
when i export my exported video jitters, like it bounces up and down continuously through out the video, can someone tell me why this is? ive tryed every possible video setting
Hey, I'm very new to this, jus switched from FCS, when I got to the export MPEG2 for DVD preset I notice that Multiplexing is unchecked. From what I know this is supposed to be an important part of readying a file for DVD, so should I check multiplexing or leave it as none?
1. when i imported my 720p footage and made a sequence and added my effects and sound, then i rendered it out and it compressed my footage to a 480p, BUT with a 720p look (meaning i have black bars on the top AND sides of the actual video.
2. when i render in .mov why are the files so huge? i time i made a 1minute 30sec music video and it came out to 7GB...WTH?
@Hector95100 I think you have another concern and that is how to use "I" in English. You ALWAYS captalize "I" when it is used as the first person personal pronoun. Like "My problem is that I can't..." NOTICE the capital "I"
@SenorCajones alright smart ass, BTW im not writing an AP essay for a high school or something, this is youtube.... its not like for my English class i type like this. And if ur an English teacher, then good for you. i see a whole bunch of other users who have commented on this video not using "I" , but hey, you decide to single me out. Good for you (x2). now THEY left.....
@webtoon999 You need to either use the Dynamic link to Encore CS5 or export an mpeg 2 dvd in the media encoder. Premiere is an editing program you want a dvd encoder.
FYI - the reason they put the blur filter in the export settings is for people who are sending samples and whatnot to clients, it acts as a watermark and is convenient because you can do the whole video at once.
I know this is a newbie question, but I just exported my vid and i have no clue where it got saved to... what's the defult location thingy on this thing?????
Hi i recorded some footage using FRAPS and i set it to record at half size (960x540). I put the video together using Premiere Pro CS5 and when the project was completed it came to about 1.7gb. I tried to upload it to youtube but it took at ages (after 30mins it was still on 2%) Any ideas what I could be doing wrong because im sure its not meant to take that long to upload.

Hi I was wondering if you could prehaps offer some insight into my issue. I recorded some game footage using FRAPS and when I strung it all together and exported the video ended up being 10 gigs and the quality was terrible. I matched the sequence settings and exported as an avi. I tried exporting it again as an mpeg2, the file size reduced to 1.5 gigs but the quality was just as bad.
There are subtitles in the gameplay that I want to include but with the reduced quality they are unreadable.
@themediamogul The game I'm playing is running at 1920x1080 and I have fraps set to capture at half to save disc space, which I guess is 960x540. Ultimately I would like to upload to youtube.
@TauriMovies you can export using the media encoder to youtube SD or HD formats. then you upload that to your account. there is no direct upload ability.
When i am exporting from Premeire cs5 (MPEG2 Bluray) (Preset: Match Source Attributes) I have export audio and export video both checked. However, it exports the audio and video in 2 different files... Why is that? How can I export the audio and video in the same file?
The video is HD 1080P shot on a sony HD 1080P camera - AVCHD. The audio is HD wav uncompressed recorded on a Zoom recorder.
Can you please help me, i just did like a thanksgiving video with audio, editing etc...
i shot it in 1080p and im not sure what settings i would use for exporting i want to export a HD file so i can burn it to a DVD to show my family i am on a mac please help thanks!!
Cool tutorial! i have the Canon 5D Mark II and cut a videoclip for my band TKT. When I now export the clip I have to export first a quick time export and then go back to media and then in H264 1080 25 and export again. Or did I missunderstand something in your tutorial? I would be greatful for your answer!
Probably a super dumb question but im new to adobe....i do i get my video to fit the right viewing screen perfectly....its zoomed in and i have it set on "fit"
@EdmundRayDantes Where the file name is on the Media Encoder, click on the link. Then browse and save it where you want. By default it usually saves in the Adobe documents folder.
for some reason, the export button is grayed out. I read that you have to select the timeline if you want to export the timeline, but i dont know how

Your footage looks cool. Should be a cool movie. Why was your video codec DV25?
For some reason when I try to export as a H.264 file I can't upload it to youtube so I always export as mpeg.
CS5 looks cool and simplified, but I am used to CS3 so there is probably a learning curve.
What is metadata?
