they are very good but beatboxing was never really meant to be taken that seriously or be classified as vocal percussion or singeing etc. its just something that has been part of the hip hop culture for years. but it wasnt a gimmick either or something to do to show off and do at a hip hop club or party.
it was and still is just a part of the hip hop culture. started off with kids making beats with their mouth during a freestyle session because someone didnt have a beat to spit to at the time. it never started off as people beatboxing in vocal orchestras it started off in the streets during the 80s hip hop phase.
its obscurity has made everybody make their own definition of beatboxing or make people say they really know where it comes from. but personally i think it was derived from the hip hop culture.
we all know it comes from hiphop, all we are doing is seeing where we can take it....a fusion of musical views, being creative..thats what music is about...i still go on the streets and beatbox while people freestyle, i love it...and as 4 you saying that we take it too seriously, its what we do 4 a living, and we want to...same way a footballer would be passionate about kicking a ball into a net, same principle mate..
beeatboxing came from hip hop, and everybody who beatboxes should know that. But what we as a group are trying to do is push this to a whole different level, were trying to test just how far the power of just human vocals can go. We're taking something from the streets, and we're revising it in a better way. Like rap music was "taken from the hood to the studios". Beatboxing is music, in my opinion, and i think a musicion should be passionate about his music.
Shlomo is a biter! This is not the first vocal orchestra or the first beatbox choir. its really sad how the UK beatbox scene keeps trying stealing from america
This looks insane Shlo! Congrats on progressing the art of the beatbox to an even high extent. You guys should PLEASE get yourselves to San Francisco. We'd eat this shit up! Let me know, I'll book you gig ;)

I disagree. With beatboxing, you can have percussion in an a cappella
