If you are referring to something I said in the video then that was made seven months before Claptrap was released.
a little late comenting on this video, but at about 4:13, when you're approaching the small room on the far side of the quest-glitching elevator, you can jump down and go under that small curved path to find two red and one lance chest. then there are a couple of small wooden boxes to get you back up
If I've already done two playthroughs of the main story on this character then download this dlc would this be considered my last chance to do this farming technique? If it is I'll just finish it on my other account to get the achievements just so I won't be locked out and can't get back in with my main character. This is perfect for finding badass orange weapons to use. I plan on having every weapon slot filled with orange by the time I'm done with him, not including lvl 69 boss weapons.
@PatronSaint210 you get three attempts at the armoury per playthrough so as long as you are still on one of the quests you can do it. If you complete all three quests on playthrough 2.5 (i.e playthrough 2 completed) then you will need a new character to go through it again.
@MahPopemobile They might just not care. The only reason I think they make patches is to keep the game fair. Infinite money and a good selection of non modded weapons isn't that bad. They're probably just more concerned about people modding weapons, shields, items, and class mods that give them an unfair advantage online.
@XMocedonX according to the Borderlands wiki "an alternative method would be to drop a large number of healthpacks at the foot of the blast door in the corridor, overloading the collision detector and allowing players to fall through the floor, similar to the glitch in question." I have no idea if it works but it is worth a try.
I don't think it will untick the box but it will allow you back into the armory, if it works.
i've got a problem the door in 1:25 just won't open.
I've done some glitch runs before and 1 time i got the "steal loot" check box checked (other 2 are still unmarked) and now when ever i kill knoxx and go throught the first door with the code but after that the second door which opened for you stay shut.
What should i do?

it don't matter what playthrough your on u can still do the glitch!!! NOTE: to keep farming do the glitch then exit an save and repeat OR do the glitch get the guns u want kill yourself respon and finish the mission like I did
the all niners are quite a bit confusing, I always pick them up and save them, but they aren't always the best guns, in fact I find the best guns are the 3 mil + guns, but they usually have some ridiculous quality and are not very balanced, like extremely high recoil reduction or fire rate but less accuracy or damage, and a correlation between ammunition capacity, if you have any farming advice I'd love to hear it, Knoxx and clap trap are the hardest DLC's and I'm playing at level 69
@automaticspaz The only thing I found difficult about the Secret Armory DLC was resisting the urge to blow my brains out from all the damn driving I had to do.

@DrSkelde When you take down the big claptrap and have to go to blake to claim your reward, the reward is actually farmable. I think it has ~ 20 chests (red only tho) its actually quite quicker then the armory.

I know by now you could probably care less, but that stinger is worth so much because of the insane fire rate, high cap magazine, and the recoil reduction. And also in the area around 3:42 there are two white chests on top of the huge dark boxes, that are creating the maze-like structure.

@Th3EliteGam3r When you have done the first armoury run quest as part of the story; go back to Marcus and he'll give you a quest to go kill a load of things. Once done hand it in, and he will let you have another run at the armoury.
If you do that run properly he will give you another kill loads of dudes quest then a third and final run at the armoury.
The glitch works on any of the three runs in the same way with the same loot.
@DrSkelde Ok cool, because me and my friend have been playin for quite a while and were also on the second playthrough. And I just saw what damage you do with your gun, (Im also a Siren obviously) and I just got a bit jealous :)
@frajkhax It's the combination of the high damage corrosive pistol, plaguebearer class mod (increased corrosive damage) and High Velocity talent (20% bullet damage). I'm going to take Slayer as well (when the level cap is increased) for even better crits.
@DrSkelde Aye I noticed when you showed your items etc. We just reached T-Bone Junction on second Playthrough, so were gonna farm the chests just like you showed in this video :) Got me a Plaguebearer class mod with 63% Corode damage or something like that. Just want one of them guns you got, heh :)

I've done Knoxx on playthrough 1 and got a lot of crappy weapons while my hubby has gone through numerous times with several different characters to do it and found the Pearlescents, etc. I don't think he knows about the glitch but I will direct him to your video so he can try it.
Do the weapons in all chests get better as you level up? Im level 41 now and im still getting crappy surplus rifles with only 71-109 damage. My sniper rifles are eh. Got one with 590 damage and 97.1 accuracy and a 300 something dmg revolver, but I would really like to know if I should grind before going there every now and then
Essentially: Do chests hold better weapons - like 200+ damage combat rifles and such- as you get to higher levels? and if so around what levels do they up?
I have a question.. me and my Co-OP partner are doing the third quest for the armory.. and when we track it it says we have already stole the loot... and when we go there it doesnt open the door to the armory. HELP US
from the bottom I throw a explosive long bow on the ground and jump over it before it goes off. It's a very useful and amusing trick. It also works for explosive barrels.
a good tip for this, is make a second account, if you don't want to take time to level it up to finish the game normaly, give it a modded gun and shield then only use that account for looting the armory, then either online or split screen, give the stuff to your good account, then you can still finish the mission properly
@Jaxxon10 I got the one I'm using in the video as well as 3-4 others of the same type in the armory. I think for my first few kills of Knoxx I was using a rubbish corrosive pistol that I found while playing normally. Got fairly lucky with the defilers though.
@Allele17 It's purely luck. Theoretically you could do 4 runs and get 4 pearls or you could do 10+ and get none. Crawmerax is fun as well but alot harder. Better loot though so if you can do it easily enough then I'd say stick to farming him. Chest runs do get boring after not too much time.
@DrSkelde i just throw on a glitched shield (here come the HACKER and GLITCHER comments) and solo crewmerax, it still takes a while but its worth it, i still havent found any pearlescent drops from crewmerax haha
If you accidentally walk into the elevator room on the xbox 360, the just push the center button on your controller and go to your xbox dashboard. You'll lose all the items you just got, but you'll be able to enter the armory again. I tested it and the "steal loot" box was unchecked when I reloaded. P.S. I was online yesterday 6/28/10 and the glitch still works.
@monkeyslayer91 When you save and quit you will have any weapons you picked up in your inventory and the chests will all respawn with new loot ready for you to pillage again.
So, I'm on the quest "Armory Assault" and did the glitch and stole all the loot, but I got stuck inside so I just saved and exited, is it ok to do it again in the same quest?
@ThePlacidVirus You always get stuck inside, there is no way to exit apart from saving and exiting. You will be able to go back in and loot all the chests again using the glitch after saving and exiting.

@TheDeadlyRage I'm not sure what you mean here. If you mean you did the original quest properly (as in completed and handed it in) you are fine. Just go grab the second quest off Marcus and you can then do the glitch on that.
@dominatorn If you pause the video at 1:23 you can see it. It's purple, yellow, cyan, orange. It should also tell you in the quest log in the text for the first quest.

If you tick it off by accident then you have to exit the game without saving. If on Xbox press guide button and return to dash, I'm not sure about PS3 and I assume Alt+f4 or similar works for PC.

@halo3u2@Priest0819 As far as I'm aware the only way to do it is to join someone else's game who is on the same quest. I'm not sure if it will untick the Steal Loot box or if it will just allow you to finish off that quest and move onto the next attempt (assuming you aren't on the 3rd quest).
@halo3u2 It's worth trying joining someone elses game to see what happens, it is possible that it will untick the Steal Loot box for you and you'll be fine. I've not done it myself though so I don't really know what it will do, I've just been told it allows you to do the quest again.

If I've already done two playthroughs of the main story on this character then download this dlc would this be considered my last chance to do this farming technique? If it is I'll just finish it on my other account to get the achievements just so I won't be locked out and can't get back in with my main character. @tanner22kr The only way to fix it is to join another persons game who is also on the third quest and doesn't have the "Steal Loot" box ticked.
Either find an XBL/PSN/Steam game and join that or you and your friend will have to make new characters, get to that point then fix it for eachother.
I don't know if this will reset the quest or just let you finish it though.

Well, except the 2nd and 3rd times there is a big picture of Marcus in the main room as he now owns it, but it's only a tiny cosmetic change:P

The $9,999,999 SMG is not a glitch. It's suppose to be that way as the SMG value is about $10 million or above. Most lvl 61 SMGs do cost $10m+.

@halo3u2 @Priest0819 As far as I'm aware the only way to do it is to join someone else's game who is on the same quest. I'm not sure if it will untick the Steal Loot box or if it will just allow you to finish off that quest and move onto the next attempt (assuming you aren't on the 3rd quest).

@halo3u2 It's worth trying joining someone elses game to see what happens, it is possible that it will untick the Steal Loot box for you and you'll be fine. I've not done it myself though so I don't really know what it will do, I've just been told it allows you to do the quest again.
