That drummer is an amazing drummer in his own right as you can see near the beginning of the sig put it's just not right for jazz band u can't heat anything but him and he plays loudly through the solos
Oh, I KNOW you did NOT just play "Everybody Needs Somebody" straight. That's just wrong. As one well know jazz composer put it, "It don't mean a thing if it 'aint got that swing."
Dude, whoever the drummer is needs some lessons of phrasing, espicially during Soulman. The cowbell player towards the end, seems to take over a good portation of the feel, and actually tries to urge the rhythm section a rally to try and recover the song, but the drummer doesnt respond, OR LISTEN. Bro, get your head up, chill on the crazy 16/sixtuplet fills, and listen to your group. What makes a good drummer is not what he can do in a song, but what he decides NOT to do.
needed to be way slower. Whats with the drummer yall, seriously. Were playing this for slidell highs centenial celebration lets have a blues brothers brawl!
Donley was awesome. I am an 04 grad and he totally was the most fun and understanding band director ever. Drum line totally rocked under his lead. Thank you for a great experience. Bartosz was ok too, but he had a broom stick up his ass.
the drumer SUCKS! he does not know how to play the right patterns on this song,

i feel like the openeing tempo, for the sake of being able to hit the notes could be like 10-20 beats slower.
also the trumpets sound like they needed some work....but other than that good job.

Bring Back Philip J. Donley... One of the best band directors the school has ever had.
