  • Jay and coldplay.

I don't know if they could ever pull off another collaboration as good as this. Hot damn this is magic.

  • I just can't listen to the original anymore. I'm always waitin for Jay-Z's "uh huh, yeah"... Ah such a great mix right here...

  • Original is better but jayz was good.. At least he didn't rap about money or drugs like lil wayne would have

  • SHIT, this is new. o-o I never expected a band like Coldplay to collaborate with such a popular rapper. Interesting combo. :P

  • Coldplay......with rap......I'm so confused o_O

  • I wish he didn't curse. I hardly if ever hear coldplay curse on their songs so I wish jayz kept that tradition.

  • Jay-Z and coldplay are best friends, hence this experiment. There's a reason why this is an EP of B-Sides, emphasis on B-Sides. Personally I think a coldplay + Jay-Z collab album will be brilliant and we will be seeing a progression toward this in the years to come. The only down side will be comparisons to the Linkin Park/Jay-Z project which will be completely irrelevant because it would be like comparing....well, Linkin Park to coldplay! LP is has no depth, coldplay is flawfree.

  • who is that guy shouting in the backround at about 2:00?

  • @Aylward6 wut?

  • @Aylward6 noob

  • it looks like Jay-Z wrote it ... I like the original better

  • I dig it!

  • thumbs up if you think Jay did an amazing job with them and if you also got lost... in the music :)

  • It's different...but I like it better without him. I kept this version on my iPod with the rest of both albums in this "set" until I realized he cursed...I'm not for that much cursing.

  • jay-z adds a different vibe to coldplay. people just don't respect all genres. who knows. this could create a new genre. i would definately like this kind of rap over stupid young money

  • wtf is this?? Jay-z ruins this beautiful song

  • JayZ at @2:12.

  • this verse is off a freestyle he did

  • soo damn catchy! love it!

  • @SouthAmericanFishMan then why are you talking about business?

  • @SouthAmericanFishMan i don't even know what you're trying to say

  • I wish Jay-Z had a bigger part in the song, but it's fine the way it is! Jay-Z is not a businessman, he's THE business.... MAN!

    What a genius.

  • Jay-Z just got better. I'm not saying he was bad or sth, he's a talented rapper, but now that he has collaborated with Coldplay, he's cool.

  • Half of you guys are straight up stupid, Jay-Z's verse fit beautifully into the song and it's meaning. Expand your musical scope and just listen

  • FResh Tunee

  • .i love this song. !! omg

  • I saw them perform this and LOVED it... I didn't know they recorded it!!!!

  • This is the only coldplay song i ever had to pause half way thru in disgust. Are you serious Chris, you actually allowed him to do this to your previously beautiful song, it would've been better with a song that fit that vibe. but this didnt, at all. although im sure jay-z's lyrics were fine all the ridiculuos noises before it ruined any thing he was about to say after...

  • lol at anyone saying jay-z is too brash smh..they obviously don't understand what a entendre is..

    Chris Martin = Genius

    Jay-Z = Genius

  • Jay-z bit is amazin no if's no but's yeh.

  • Jay fucking shreds the shit outta this song!

  • no offense but i think Jay Z ruins it :o

  • I love it :) thumbs up if you think best part is 2:13 - 3:06

  • I prefer the version with Jay Z. Although the original is fucking incredible as well!

  • i hate JayZ more than my terrible maths teacher

  • This version is the best. It feels likes it's missing something vital when I hear the original.

  • Like like like like like like!!

  • jay z is a really good collab artist. I really like this version of Lost

  • hummm

well, seems like Jay doesn't really have a big part in this song....only about 30 secs

    He's great though

  • The song it´s great but Jay-z its not good

  • Jay-Z is killn on this joint! Great collabo.

  • I <3 the original Lost and when I heard the Jay-Z version I was like dangggg what happened there? loll coldplay is my fave group & jay-z should not ruin their songs :)

  • Without Jay-z Lost sounds better

  • Jay-z has no business here. Coldplay's stuff is way beyond him.

  • Ur a dumdum. Chris Martin appeared on his stuff. Jay-Z is prob one of the greatest rappers of all time. Im not saying he makes it better, just different. It's a nice collaboration. Even Apple (Chris's child) calls him Uncle Jay.

  • @hexsex21 is apple a girl or boy and how old

  • @TwilightRev8lver apple is an awesome name for a person

  • one of their best. awesome song

  • this song is so siiick.

  • His lyrics explain exactly what people are doing. He's a known rapper, now you all(or some of you)are judging him just because he says n**** or any other racial word.......

  • For people who don't like the rapping and thinks it doesn't add to the song, then you obviously haven't heard the lyrics.

  • Sure, I've heard the lyrics, but that doesn't really add to it. The song already felt complete to me. Jay-Z just seemed out of place to me.

  • By giving examples that fit the song perfectly?

  • By being there at all. Chris could have easily kept on going by singing it himself, and done much better in the process.

  • @Bisurge agree

  • He also uses the word n*****. A lot of people do it. Get over it. That wasn't even Chris Martin singing.

  • Oh really? I had no idea! /end sarcasm

  • my ma loves coldplay and i love jay - z and we both love this song!!!!!!!!

  • lol

  • This may hurt some coldplay fans...but jay-z lyrics take this song to another level! I think if it was an only Coldplay song it wasn't as much special as this one is. Two big names in music history :)

  • pwnage song

  • This is a pretty good song! I'm sort of a Coldplay fan anyway (and I like the original Lost!), but I think the rapping fits into this song really well. The song has a sort of hip-hop beat in the background anyway, so something like this way going to work.

  • dude CDX89treme i have no idea what the fuck you're saying

  • I dont even knw wat i said?

  • this is actually pretty good. :p

people who bashes on jay-z and the song are assholes. -.-

the only bad thing about this song is the rapping, jay-z shouldve stuck with the song from the start. :/

  • jay-z lyric's finally make a whole lot of sense! its a perfect collaboration!

  • this song is EPIC

  • @eikogo because both acts are...

  • @ja1207 rly ? tell me more

  • I think this brings together two great kinds of music.

    this songs works for me.

  • damn people are bein too hard on jay. i love coldplay and jay and i think jay did great in the song

  • @KingOfKings436 ya honestly his part is very poetic, definitely payed respect both ways for these artists

  • Is this a remix, or did Jay-Z really perform with them.

  • Jay-Z really did perform with them ;) That would be shame to move in the Prospekt March a remix of Lost! with just put in words without real singer ;)

  • This is a collab. It's on the second release of Viva La Vida (Prospekts March Edition)

  • Jay-Z was amazing in this song; his lyrics fit the song perfectly and the song was just sent to a whole new different level. Great song, great band, great music.

  • I love this song more then any other coldplay song but i'm not sure about the rapping... It is a good idea but the actual rapping isn't that great.

  • i thought the rapping was ok it fit the song, im a big jay-z fan and his best lyrics are his rag to riches songs and those are the only songs that are actually really good, but he did his thing in this verse. disagree with the people that say jayz is too brash for the beat. Jay-z is better on soft beats by kanye and he sucks on hard beats like this one and rick rubin instrumentals.

  • Chris Martin has in recent times had an admited obsession with Hip-hop. Its what drove him to collaborate with Kanye West as well as Jay-Z.

  • yeeeeeeeeeeeH BAYBAY

  • Can you spell out of place?

  • He does kinda ruin it i like the other one better

  • eh. i like the normal version better. Jayz sorta takes away from coldplay; hes too brash for coldplay

  • Coldplay probably collaborated with him to expand their fanbase, and boost sales of the EP this song is on. Or maybe because he worked so well with Linkin Park, although they're a very different band.

  • The Jay-Z/Linkin Park mash-up was a serious crash-and-burn. The rap in this song was unneeded, but I love how Jay-Z remixed this song, it turns it from a Coldplay song to a get-up-and-dance song.

  • coldplay songs are get up and dance songs!!

  • @BsidesAndEPs Chris has also worked with Jay-Z, and him and Jay-Z are good friends. They both wanted to name their album's "Till Kingdom Come" or "Kingdom Come", but Coldplay settled on X & Y and let Jay-Z have the name, and since then they've been friends.

  • I like Linkin Park & Coldplay, but I prefer it when they do their own songs. It means that they keep their own style going.

This song is one of my favourites, but without Jay-Z. I mean what genre would this even be? xD.

  • @BsidesAndEPs Plus Chris and Jay-Z are really good friends.

  • @weirdbuttrue24 i really like the jayz part. it adds a kind of more fast paced side to this song. also what hes rapping about is suprising reality. "if you succed prepare to be crucified"
