  • Did u film that with a potato? Ur keep on moving I don't know what happened

  • not at the fair tho

  • Calaveras means skulls and they are finding skulls here

  • This was Very Sad

  • OMG! it was the ride with the swings!!!!

  • my brother was on that ride

  • :[

  • ok so i was reading the description and it says 3 flown and 23 minor injuries what happend to the other kid

  • WOW!!!!!

  • does anyone know the name of of the carnival that this happened too.

  • @mattrlaeno Calaveras county frog jump or jumping frog jubilee or whatever its called. Its the Calaveras County fair in california.

  • Oh and Steve. You are so wise wasabi

  • I thought that ladies back was a front cleavage shot until she stepped away from the camera hahahaha

  • Is it a surprise? Has anyone seen these friggen rides and the people who operate them? I dont think most of these carnies could operate a stereo instruction manual.

  • Perhaps it's best to find a ride that won't break down on you? But I do agree knowing that if the ride is put together right and that it has passed all inspections, accidents still happen. Not to mention the wearing and tearing of rides overtime, so only the experts know how rides are managed and operated. To say the least, try to ride attractions under risks of yourself and your people.

  • That being said, I would imagine different states have different rules and laws. he show I worked for did Wisconsin and Michigan only.

  • @Princ3sss3mily- I worked for a carnival for close to 10 years. We were inspected by state, local, and insurance inspectors on a constant basis. We were subjected to random drug screenings and if you failed you were fired immediately with no warnings. Our rides had to beinspected every morning, following a checklist, and if you skipped a single step you were fired. Most carnivals are safe whether you like to believe it or not. However, accidents do happen.

  • Why would anyone let their child on a carnival ride? Those things have dangerous and unstable written all over them. They take them down and set them up all the time, all it takes is one missed bolt. It's unfortunate, but these things happen all the time at carnivals/fairs.

  • @Princ3ss3mily you are actually more likely to get hurt at a stationary amusement park than a traveling one traveling are inspected daily while sationary are inspected yearly

  • HAHAHAH I |HOPE SOMEONE DIED!

  • Kind of expected, from the looks of "YoYo"the ride itself doesn't seem very resistant.

  • I was just about to eat. Then I saw the girls close up. Thank u

  • What happened????

  • what's the ride called?

  • @xxFDIDDY88xx the yoyo

  • @xxFDIDDY88xx This ride is called the Yo Yo.

  • is somebody trapped??????????

  • things like this never happen in england thank god i love rides and if i was on that i would never go near a ride again!!

  • Comment removed

  • what happened???

  • how the hell did the swings collapse!?

  • Carnival rides are not that safe they are not succured carfully..

  • idiots why are you always complaining about every fair ride accident. its just one of those things you gotta deal with!!! how many guys die in car accidents how many ships sink and how many planes fall down??? and i bet all you guys know how many wars we had.

i would say more than fair rides break.

  • @noone309 ooh shut up you asshole this is what makes you tube so good dum nut

  • @TheJohnnywalker123 get out of my internet you dump fuck

  • dude what the heck y would anybody post this???

  • When i go to travelling funfairs my mum doesnt let me on all the really big rides .. now i know why.

  • The thing that makes carnival rides the most dangerours is the fact there on the road every month. They mechanics that check the rides for any lose bolts or anything like that are not going there jobs. Therefore rides should only be built well in one spot and shall never to be on the go! It's not safe and more and more accidents are starting to happen do to this!

  • Well... That's life!!!

  • turns out he only fell down the stairs

  • @glorytoyahweh1 there not that dangerous.

  • "SCREW THE GOLD BAND" LMFAO

  • that is soo scary my cusions got off right before that happen

  • actually wat happend. like the metal part where the "swings" are placed fell down or wot?? lol im bad at english -.-

  • @ThePikuxx In order to make the yellow arms lift up, they are pulled downwards like a teeter-totter near the center by a hydraulic piston. Between the yellow arms and the piston though is a wheel, where the outside of the wheel can spin independently of the inside. All the yellow swing arms are attached to the outside and the piston is attached with nuts to the inside. On this day, the nuts popped off, which caused the wheel to slide off the piston, sending everyone crashing to the ground.

  • i was there when that happened :(

  • I dont really trust carnival or fair rides but I still go on them because if I get hurt or killed I will always know my family will be rich!

  • i always ride this ride at the dixon mayfair and thats never happend before that shit scares me!!!

  • i was thinking about going on this ride at the nebraska state fair.. now im having second thoughts about that O.o

  • this should not be possible! they have to take some measures to just avoid a total collapse.

okey, accidents happen, but this really shouldn't be possible, it has just plummeted to the ground. they should make an emergency brake that prevent's the arms falling down. even if electricity and oil pressure fails there has to be something that saves the lives of the vulnerable passengers on this ride...

  • OMG....I WOULD KILL SOMEONE IF MY CHILD WAS ON THAT :( MAKES ME THINK TWICE ABOUT LETTING MY SON ANY ANY CARNIVAL RIDE

  • \My bro was on that hes 17..... I was crying when I heard I though he was dead :( Then we found out he only got a little cut lol

  • You could've at least kept the FUCKING camera still at the start! fucks sake

  • somethn smells like a lawsuite

  • I was there that day...... it was so scary, they havent had the yoyo at the frog jump anymore since that happened

  • Why was that ride still even running? ive heard loads of stories that it has broke down loads of times and have you seen the state of the charis and everything?!

  • Dude if I was on that I would probably never ever go to the carnival for a very long time I would be to scared is that why the yoyo isn't at the billings Montana carnival !!??

  • all the black kids parents became rich after this

  • i was there that shit was fucked up

  • Ive been on the Yo Yo and after seeing this...daaaaaaammmnnn.

  • i hate fucking swings at amusment parks theres always trees near it and you get wacked in the head by a branch or bird shit in your face....but best of all spinning it :)

  • Screw the gold band!!!! LOLOLOL!!!!!!! XD

  • this ride always braking down

  • Comment removed

  • just imagin if that was somebodys birthday. THAT WOULD SUCK!!!!

  • I went on that when I was little.....

  • O.O i aint goin on the YoYo ride no more....even tho i didint ever go on it XDD

  • I was there when it happened!!

  • Dude I like how your friend was thinking about the views you will get with this video, what a dumbass, I now quit a few people that were on that ride

  • @DeadlyBagel63....i don't know where you get your information or if your just pulling it out your ass but traveling amusement rides are 100% safer than permanent amusement park rides. Traveling rides get taken down and put pack up and inspected and reinspected every week and then spot inspected every day while they are up. Permament Amusement rides only get in inspected annually or quarterly.

  • @welder12285 Well sometimes...."Twenty-one children were hurt in May 2008 when the spinning Yo-Yo chair ride collapsed at the Calaveras County Fair. After a 10-month investigation, the California Department of Industrial Relations determined the ride had not been properly maintained, saying a damaged washer failed to hold a pair of nuts in place, causing the arms to crash. ".....Just saying

  • @wattman72 A pair of nuts? I'm sure there were more than just two nuts involved.

  • @welder12285 In the settlement news that came out today it says, This ride had not been serviced in 10 years. So the only thing they were doing was putting it up and tearing it down.

  • Can anyone tell me where i can find the actual video of this ride collapsing??

  • @SemisiBear im trying to look for the same thing

  • carnival rides r more dangerous than theme park rides r

  • That was realy scary, my best friend Sarah was one of the three that was life flighted...some bar landed on her chest and she couldn't breath, and she broke her tail bone from the fall...two years later and she still at times can't breathe to good!

I think they should be more cautious when it comes to carnival rides...a few hours before that happend many people herd some wierd noises comming from the ride, and the carnies did nothing!!!!!

  • what happend??

  • so much for all those views you were gonna get...lol

  • This was the same one the asociated press talked about...

  • @2buckcanuck yah

  • I ride at my carnival called the scorpion broke yesterday it's a ride that's has three arms with five tubs on each arms that spin around and one of the arms broke so all the tubs detached and went flying thank god no one died but two kids were seriously injured and six others went to the hospital.

  • @RumbleInTheJungle15 was that at the calgary stampede??

  • @RumbleInTheJungle15

I saw that too. I would like to add that the Tivoli Scorpion has 7 cars per arm. Agreed, glad no one was killed.

  • i worked for the carnival in this clip "midway of fun" and i built their zipper it was my soul responsibility to build, tear down and maintain it to the best of my ability, the model of zipper i worked on had to be a quarter off bubble off so it wouldn't tip forward "well that's how i was told and showed how to build it and that's how i did it" but i've been told otherwise by so called carnies

  • The Zipper can't collapse. It CAN however.. tip over, or throw one of the tubs (cages that you are locked in), The door hinges have known to break, trowing the door (and riders) Witch is why in California if the Tubs have 2 separate door hinges they must have a safety cable around the hinge. Any Zipper manufactured after Y2K has one complete hinge along the whole door. the Previous hinges have expiration dates, and must be replaced every 3-4 years. I know this because I was foreman of the Zipper

  • If the zipper collapsed, at least one person would die...

I have been on the zipper...

My brother has been on it too...

My brother has been on the Yoyo

My sister chickened out on the zipper...

  • Omg. If it collapsed with me on it, I would need therapy. That's scary.

  • OK let's make this clear:

    THE YOYO ALWAYS COLLAPSES!!!

  • @thecharlliechannel8 that's why I'll never go on

  • DUDE...i love frog jump...i was there when that ride broke...it was hella scary...my friend was on it :( thank god he didnt die

  • Well our carnival had that ride until when they were testing the ride before the carnival that happend

  • im never going on that ride again lol

  • I was just at a fair last month. Normally I NEVER go on those rides...but I missed the rush. Normally I don't go on ANYTHING but Disney, Universal, and Six Flags rides. I'd also trust Bush Gardens. They keep their shit up....very few accidents ever happen at those places.

  • @m3m12 3,599

  • "dude you're gonna get so many views."

    haha laughed.

  • dude i was there like an hour and an half before that that happpend i went on that ride 2 times

  • Only amusement park's I trust are Disney and Universal's. Other are too risky. I'm lucky I live in Miami, Orlando is a 4 hour drive away.

  • Oh, my God... That's horrible. I'm never going to another traveling carnival. WAY too risky.

  • @gameshowluvr86 wow you dont understand rides obviously me growing up in the carnival seen you wouldnt be afraid to go on another carnival ride you got to check them out before you ride make sure all of the R pins are in correctly look at the "carnie" working the ride most rides end up breaking down like at amusement parks anything can happen well the one ride i would say stay away from is the ferris wheel but have fun wasnt dogging you or w.e if you take this wrong sorry
