  • i found a sweet dj here -------- /watch?v=9zCnJwjxTwQ

  • if anyone is seriously considering buying one of these, hit me up......i am have to downgrade for school :(

  • @ HOPCOUNT

Well, Denon owns both Marantz and Allen & Heath so its quite easy to do the math.To my ears the soundquality is way better of the DNX 1700 then in any lower end DJM mixer, Its crystal clear and a clean signal, the filtersection is greatly improved and midi is as good as any other mixer on the market, and its really cheap if you look att all the features you get, a really bang for the buck!

  • Denon are in some ways better than Pioneer and vise versa, simple as that, but when you look att price Vs Quality, Denon wins all the way . . . DNS 3700 kicks CDJ 2000 butt, i'll rather have 4 DNS 3700 for the price of 2 CDJ 2000, and DJM 900 Nexus Vs DNX 1700 is a JOKE!, DNX 1700 wins @ Effects x2, Price, Quality and Ease of use. And Yes i have them. so i guess i know what im yappin about ;)

  • @DJSEvEN72

As we all know nothing can compare to A&H filters, but which filter sounds better the Nexus or the x1700?

  • I have this mixer and really love it..But to find a flight case for the X1700 and DN-S3700 is beyond my knowledge :(

  • @BJSteigner Is no problem search for large format CD players aka 3700/1000 and the mixer is a standard 12 inch, Odyssey make great flight cases even with luminescent effects

  • ddm 4000 ftw.

  • Face it, Denon is PC, and Pioneer is Apple. Nuff said.

  • @krazie0013 dumbass, you compare denen with a pc? Krazie quite shure your mouth is bigger than your thinkings. But man Denon is doing a good job. In some Clubs like here in Vienna the "FLEX" there are denon, and damn man there where enought WorldClass DJ's, someones startet there carriere in this Club and for a few years the Flex has the best PA in europe. And guess what, right they use denon cdj. Stop beeing a pioneer-nazi and give it a chance bro ;-)

  • so i dont need traktor hardware?

  • tnx bro for the reply, i was planning to buy the 1700 next month.

  • is this mixer is traktor certified?

  • @MrDjstrick Yes, for Traktor Pro 2 and Scratch Pro 2

  • 0.29 Was I correct in hearing that this mixer is Serato and Traktor certified, for use with time codes ? Or was it rfering to MIDI?

  • @Zoixlive Both also have more effects by a firmware update

  • @Zoixlive Both (Timecode and Midi) but no certified to Serato, also have more effects by a firmware update

  • denon mixer and denon dns3700 tables all the way for scratch dj's.

  • this mixer is great!!! how much is this?

  • If djm 800 is the standard, i feel sorry for the ppl that never tried a real mixer.

  • In my opinion denon is much better than pioneer :P

  • DENON 4 LIFE =D

  • lol 10 hours of tuning

  • i have question yall... if i juss have two turn tables can i juss get a 2 channel mixer, plp that i have seen have 2 tables hooked up but with 4 channels, which is better?

  • @truflipthug6999 The 4 channel because you can later bring another turntable, synthesizer or instrument and with this mixer (DN-X1700) you can have the same input in 2 channels that give you the possibility of apply 2 EFX to the same song with different equalization and also use software in the other channels

  • @truflipthug6999 well unless you can do effects on a chanel without a song like the djm 900nexus then ok but if you only have two turntables then why have four channels lol

  • I think ist's better dan the DJm 800

  • @MasterBeatzRyan much better, the denon dnx 1700 is a competitor to the djm 2000

  • @MasterBeatzRyan

of course it may be better then the djm800, the 800 is almost 5 years old. this mixer should kick it's ass..

  • The Best Mixer

    Ever

  • So, nobody knows what the track is... Please, help.

  • why do people hate on Denon so much this kicks the 800 ass....I just wish it had a rotary option

  • @hgonzal214 - Because it looks like shit.

  • And i want to know what's the name of this track because it's AWESOME...Thank you.

  • The most important for me is what the product is. I love Pioneer, Ecler and Denon. I don't give a fuck what djs or clubs use like material. The quality must be here. I got an Ecler mixer. My next stage will be this Denon mixer or the Pioneer DJM 800. Anyway, there are My favorites.

  • You are ugly! kill yourself

  • @kuyomayasaka

You're comment just sums up the denon vs pioneer argument...

exactly! Denon have no argument, all u can do is try to throw insults!

    sad fucker

  • i didnt ever think I would say this, but the new Behringer ddm4000 excites me more, for a fraction of the price. with the advent of optical faders, cheaper brand mixers seem to be catching up BIG TIME.

  • ducking controls..... hmmmmm! intersting

  • good quick review

  • name of the song please ;)

  • Although the front panel seems a bit cramped, it seems easy to use. I like the illumination of the eq buttons.

  • powerful mixer. the layout seems a little cluttered. i also think the text on the mixer should illuminate. not absolutely necessary, but would help in a club environment.

  • it looks really cool, and easy-using

  • Do want.

  • thats a bad boy mixer

  • heard pioneer mixers sound like inside a can or something, and that are not the quality standard (since a&h, rane, ecler sound way better and clear). Is that true?

Do you think a djm 800 is worth the money for the sound quality?

do you think a denon (like this or cheaper models) have better sound quality?

im not talking about effects and stuff, just eq and sound quality

  • You want the sound quality ? Drop the effects and take Rodec :)

  • That's true. Denon sounds better, but anyway it's not on the same quality level with Xone's.

  • then this denon cost more than xone3d, and the djm 800 cost more than a xone92 (pretty much the same than a xone 32).

So discarding the effects i dont see the point on gettin either this denon or the pioneers.

Specially for digital dj'ing where you have tons of effects

  • this mixer is very cool but im sorry pioneer is just alittle bit more reliable

  • Looks cool but i think it's more expensive han a DJM 800?

I tihnk i would go witht he DJM 800

  • it's nearly the same Price i think

  • the denon is 400euro/350GBP more.

  • ummm wtf...dude you have your words all mixed up lool ??o_O

  • nice blue light i like it

  • Yay!! Reviews are back!! Keep it up : )

  • No way worth the price. You could buy alot of things instead of wasting the money on this.

  • yeah exactly! like a DJM-800 and do the fucking job right! :D

  • Retails for the same price as the Pioneer DJM-800

i know which one id go for.

Yes, thats right. Pioneer shits on Denon every time :D

  • they look so similar though

  • Pioneer's mixer is not better; i used both of them. I bought the denon it has more and sounds better. It has a 32 bit output as opposed to 24. Denon products are made by real dj's ; not wanna be dj's.

  • obviosuly a Denon fanboy, but ill put you in your place anyway. My best mate bought this mixer two weeks ago, ive used it a lot, and i can tell you now its not at all on par with the DJM-800. Denon is nowhere near Pioneeer when it comes to DJ equipment anyway, look at their CD players! Shit in a plastic box! This mixer isshitty, and the sound quality is NOT as good as the 800. You can list all the specs you want, but in the end, your ears are always the final judge of sound quality.

  • @DJPaddy643

The soundsquality is definitely better than a DJM-800, the faders are way better, the effects sound better, the pots feel better, the midi options are way better, it has got a effect-section more and it looks better in my opinion.

No doubt, the Denon is better!

  • yeah, its your personal opinion.

Lets just wait and see how many clubs rip out their DJM-800 in favour of this little toy. Not many i would bet. Its a universal fact! all DJs love Pioneer. Thats why when travelling from one club to another they like to use the same equipment(DJM800).

Enough of my talking. Let the proof be in the pudding....Very few clubs or respectable DJs will favour Denon over Pioneer. And we all know why....

reliability and quality stand out every time

  • Comment removed

  • jesus christ man, a bit of coherent language wouldnt go a miss!

  • @xicot86 What you talkin' 'bout Willis?

  • He actually dislikes it so much after using my DJM-800 that he sold it and bought the 800, vowing never to by anything from Denon again, because they are, quote:

    "Balls of shite"

i wholeheartedly agree. Denon try and fail.

And i think you'll find that "real DJ's" use Pioneer, not denon. look at any respectable club in the world. ITS ALL PIONEER. i cant understand why denon-gimps cant accept this fact. Denon is for cheap-arse, half-hearted wedding DJ's call DJ Phat Phil who plays 80's

  • Certainly seems like a really nice mixer, but I often wonder what the point is. If you use it as your in/out box for Traktor etc, then you have to lug it to every club you play at. If not it seems a bit overkill for home use? Also noticed that enabling the effects channel gave a serious boost to the high end of the track even when no effect was applied! Not nit picking, just curious as to who buys these beasts.

  • nice :)
