Can't tell if I already commented, I am Jewish from Israel and I lost all families from both sides Mum's and Dad's...Romania and Poland. My family is really small now. I liked this song a bit but....Misleading title and a few lyrics as well. Those six million were the Remembered People not the Forgotten. The Forgotten people of the jews are those hundreds of thousands who were killed or driven out there land and no one has even heard about them. They are similar in format to the Dead Sea Scrolls, they predate Yeshua, and they speak of the need for the Messiah to suffer, die, and be resurrected. I found the info in the JP. put as much faith in him as he did of what he has to do if he were messiah.

i know that Rambam states in hilchos melachim that the messiah will have had to do all his miracles the first time around and can't die till he does.

How can you fulfill all that is written in the law? Personally I know that under the law I should be stoned to death.
It's only by His sacrifice that we can be saved because He fulfilled the law and died the death we deserve under the wrath of the LORD.
He has yet to fulfill every promise, but He is faithful. He rose from the dead and ascended into Heaven, He said He would come again and He will.
We have *faith* that He will fulfill all He has promised.

2. He expects that we won't succeed 100%.
THAT'S WHY HE GAVE US YOM KIPPUR!
3. He gave the Torah to a nation that just 40 days prior worshipped the Golden Calf. He knows very well that we aren't going to be perfect yet still gave us the Torah.
Why didn't He give us this jesus system of belief to begin with?

I know He gave us the commandments to follow them.
However I've broken the commandments. The only way to be forgiven is by atonement, and I believe the atonement was done by the Messiah on the cross.
I'm pretty sure those who worshiped the golden calf were blotted out of His book.
Romans 3:20 by the deeds of the law there shall no flesh be justified in His sight: for by the law is the knowledge of sin.
We need the atonement of Yeshua, we can't be justified by obeying the law, we fall short

It was a type, a foreshadowing of what the Messiah Yeshua would do for us.
Yeshua is the lamb of passover, His blood is the blood on the doorposts, He is the ram of Abraham. He is the sacrificial lamb.
His atonement was powerful enough to atone for all of our sins in one perfect sacrifice. He never sinned, He fulfilled the law perfectly, He is the blameless and spotless sacrificial lamb. He died the death we deserved and atoned for our breaking of the law.

Yes.
The sacrificial system was set up in order to drive the point across that there must be shedding of blood for the remission of sins. As I said it was a type, a foreshadowing of what Messiah would do for us.
He obeyed the laws we didn't and died the death we deserved. On the basis of what He has done we are justified with God, not by the keeping of the law, which we cannot do.
Abraham, who offered up his only son to be sacrificed. Later God would send His only Son to be sacrificed for us

I have a deep respect for Jews and for Israel. I believe the Torah and that we are commanded to obey it. Salvation comes from the Jews, and I as a gentile am the one who is grafted in.
I do believe that Yeshua is the Messiah who God promised, the Lamb of God who takes away the sins of the world. When the Messiah comes again, it will be Yeshua who died and rose for us
It is Yeshua who has brought the gentiles into belief in the God of the Jews, all the nations have been blessed.

well, it's still counterintuitive to me to say that God would have spent an entire book in his Torah to describe something that little attention needs to be paid to it.

My common sense would tell me that there must be punishment for my sins. I could never enter into the presence of Holy God as a sinful man and expect that any righteous deed or half obedience to His law would justify me before Him.
There must be someone who saves me, who bears my punishment. I must derive righteousness from someone, there is none inherent within me.
I don't have all the answers, and it is a matter of faith. However, after looking at the scriptures, I find truth in Yeshua.

God created us with free will, because he wanted us to chose to love him. But we also have the free will not to love Him or anyone. In the Bible He also tell us who he is, what he likes, what he dislikes & the punishment for those who do not choose wisely. Those of us who choose to please God seek his Word & learn His ways in order to become more like Him which is what makes us a better person because God loves everyone & when we choose to love as God loves then we make the world a better place.

Have you ever read the entire Bible & examined what it means to be Jewish, or to believe in God? Have you then read the Koran & examined what it means to be a good Muslim?
