  • Punch in the of truck 0:22

  • The guy with the fire extinguisher cracks me up every time. He was always on hand, no matter what the stunt was.

  • it never gets old even if im 15 yrs old

    hehe

  • Leo Wanker - classic Hoges' sketch comedy of the late 70s, alongside his drunk sketch - STUNG (using the Entertainer as music score). Bring it back - today's shows SUCK!

  • Still makes me laugh 20 odd years on

  • I only know Paul Hogan from Crocodile Dundee, but this stuff is funny! Reminds me of Benny Hill but without the scanty-clad women.

  • Thumbs up if you think Leo Wanker ROCKS!!!!!!!!!

  • Just brilliant - I love the fact they extinguish his balls after each stunt. Quickly followed by the Hoges great goofy (I'm okay) look.

  • When I was a tacker I used to love waiting for the Paul Hogan specials - they only made a few each year.

  • that sounds like john blackman

  • I love the pause between braking and the bang as he hits the back of the truck.

  • @Kokoots

    lmao i agree with ya

  • lmao yes i agree with ya . it is most funny when hear him screaming from behind the truck

  • It's so funny how they always use the fire extinguisher

  • I saw The Paul Hogan Show on channel 9 the other night. I couldnt stop laughing at the Leo Wanker parts. The old Paul Hogan stuff rules.

  • definitely john blackman.

  • Yep sure did

  • Yes that's John Blackman

  • HAHA, I remember when they first aired this show on UK tv, It was essential viewing. I couldn't believe that they actually allowed a character called 'Wanker' on the TV, HAHA.

  • Brian Connolly completely ripped this off for his 'Dangerous Brian' routine.

  • I remember this on TV back in the day. Gotta love Leo....

  • Yes Leo What a Wanker he was... Try hard wasn't he.

  • Pitt Hoges buggered off to the US where his comic gland atrophied and died..

From Gidday viewers to.. Paul who?

    leo your the bomb mate

brings back memories of me laying on the lounge room floor

pmsl and then i had to go to bed arfter he was on best days of my life

  • No matter how or where he got injured they always used to aim the fire extinguisher at his pants

  • The Paul Hogan show is the best. Wish it came to UK on DVD! Thanks for posting this!!!

  • I'm so happy to see so many UK & US folks enjoy the Hoges.I somehow thought maybe a lot of the Aussie references would get lost on overseas audiences.I'm glad to be proved wrong!

    :)

  • No way, my dad got me into Hogan back in the 80's and I gotta say most of the Aussie comics I've seen are well funny!

For me though, Hoges is still the best.

  • Aussies aren't really all that much different to the average Brit so nothing is lost on me.

I love these old Hoges shows. I taped about 8 hours of them on VHS back in the early '80s and my usual routine is to get pissed and watch Hoges.

The 'recent' DVD is also great.

  • Hoges rules.. I remember when they aired them in the UK first time round and it was my intro to Aussie culture.. Just got the DVD and glad to see the toaster he and Strop used is featured!! Best memory of Hoges that was...

  • Yeah I remember when C4 first showed them in the mid 80s. Corney but really funny!

  • Hoges was brill !!! Can anyone remember Trevor Daggs the disco king who really drove a volkswagen ?

  • Ys, I do! Remember that scene with Trevor Daggs in the nightclub? "He's Trevor Daggs, he's a Virgo and he drives a Volkswagen!". Mike S.

  • love the fact that anytime leo got hurt, no matter what, they rush in with the fire extinguishers lol

the one i remember is he's trying to get in the house and gets kicked in the nuts - cue the CO2 hahaha

  • The man hasn't really changed, he was and still is a funny barstard, just the rest of the world took him away from us, These shows were grouse, sometimes things are the way they were, when they were. They wouldn't be the same now, but looking back remind us of better days..

  • omg this show is gold. u guys showld watch the great white north, its just two hosers talking but its funny.

  • I remember when this was being repeated in the UK and Ireland back in 1992 every Friday night. I never missed it. Hilarious stuff.

  • benny hill rides again

  • these pussy crumbs are making me itch!

  • oh please post more leo! he was the best!!!!!

  • Reminds us all of a time when there was no such this as politicaly correct, Classic Hoges

  • woo the paul hogan show is awsome

  • goes to show how much you know about aussie comedy history. Too busy watching punky brewster or family ties were ya, poofta.

  • I'm sorry u feel that way.

Personally,I feel that for an Aussie to dislike the Hoges of old is tantamount to treason.:-)

While it's true some aspects of the program have dated(the rampant chauvinism, the overt ocker humour),the basic kernel of excellent comedy can still be seen in the Hoges' of old.

To this day,in our house, when killing a cockroach or fly,we say

"I'll drown the buggar in Rapid Shave."

    Hoges rules.

  • Arr yes Hoges, may the legend live in.

  • No comedy show made these days in Australia will come close to emulating this classic stuff.

Leo Wanker with the SWAT team abseiling down a cliff and forgets to tie his own rope before jumping.

  • CLASSIC HOGES!!!

  • God,I loved Leo Wanker. There was always a guy with a fire extinguisher who drowned Leo in white stuff no matte what the stunt.Oh,for the days when Hoges was funny & not the facelifted wanker he is now.He RULED in the '70s.

  • Leo Wanker a true aussie :)

  • bahahah Leo 'Wanker'...so Australian

  • Best is when he goes down to welcome the new imagrants by throwing cans of fosters at them.

  • ah yes ya gotta love it!!!!

  • Wanker is the guv'nor. Anyone got any more clips ? I also love the Nigel Lovelace character if anyone has any of that one

  • Wanker is the guv'nor. We need more Paul Hogan clips especially "Nigel Lovelace 11 Years Of Age"

  • WHAT A WANKER! LEO RULES! Get some more on early doors!
