can anyone help me? im quite small, im 12, when i jump i dont seem to get any height, why dont i get height? i can do it on trampoline without bounce thought, please help
@dodgesxt type in the youtube search bar: something like fat kid does butterfly twist. if he can do that someone could probably learn to do a backflip.
I think start with trampolin!I'll do my first attampt on one of them.Couse the move i think not too hard,but on solid ground fuckin scary when u didnt try before,and u wont pull ur legs to your chest.The brain block the tuck move:)

I watched a few backflip tutorial videos, and this is the most helfpul to me. The key is, not only that you try to jump straight, but also to have the legs trained to be lifted toward the chest region. I am getting the knack of doing this flip now.

yeah that back lean isnt good... a pro gymnast can do a straight jump pretty much and tuck right at the top without any lean. Its just overcoming that fear. Good tutorial though.

They go backwards through the whole move, it's the Backflip lol! I agree that saying "jump straight up and knees to chest" could be misunderstood. Jump straight up means reach with your chest up. If you just jump and tuck nothing will happen.
It isn't that it's misunderstood, it's just that the student always thinks "back tuck, okay, go backwards." The main focus should always be about going up. If you jump and tuck, you actually will go backwards. When you try it, most people don't go backwards because they focus on keeping their axis in the same position, so they push their weight foward, keeping them in roughly the same spot.
wallflip is easier cus the wall helps u to flip and get hight, backflip is just slithly harder, but if u learn the backflip first the wallflip should be a piece of cake.

basicly with a sideflip
if its off one leg
just tuck at the back of your front leg only
and keep looking at the ground
this is a basic sideflip
realy easy to spin
all you do is spin on the spot
do this till you get more confidance and jump up and try and get more vert and wait a bit longer before spining.
