Phil is such an inspiration to me, at first, I didn't really listen to Hendrix, then I started to review alot of the awesome demos he does, and now, most of what I wanna learn is what Phil plays.

I "discovered" Phil today and I'm completely enthusiastic about him. He can play any style and has a better voice than many famous singers. i work as a guitar teacher in a music school in germany, and as I have a little child of 8 month, I have to give so many lessons every day, to earn enough money for my family, so I almost don' t have the time to practice, but this guy gives me so much positive energy, that I'm simply happy about the fact that I can play guitar. On the result I would like to share all my doubts: not that I do not like Phil X, but this version is just sucking. I believe he is much better jamming and messing up with guitar tests on multiple tracks, rather than at doing one single with some soul support.

vintage fender pups will do or seymour duncans ssl-1s (great vintage strat sound), but most of all its the old, dried out and played-out wood, old strats were made of selected solid, non-glued pieces of wood, the ones between 54 and 56 were made of Ash, even the necks were 1-piece maple, that makes a huge difference for resonance.
