In all fairness Disney's animation history has been a roller coaster- they started out making shorts under RKO to hitting it big with 'Snow White' and started to slum in the late 50s as they turned their attention to live action. in the 60s Walt died and the influence seemed to leave with him until the early 90s which was once more followed by a decline ironically caused by Pixar. Right now it seems that Disney is doing what they can to improvise on turning out of this current slump.
I have nothing against Disney. In fact, I'm a HUGE Disney fan (only for their animated movies, Pixar and all, and a few live action movies such as PotC and National Treasure), but its the Disney Channel I can't stand. It's making the entire Walt Disney Company look bad, and I think Walt himself would be ashamed of the channel.
Agreed 110% When I was a child, I used to watch Disney Channel in particularly when they had the seasonal preview things that they did when they would show concerts and True Disney Specials. Now, I just treat Disney Channel like it's DINO - Disney In Name Only. In my personal opinion, the only 2 things that Disney had done right in the last decade by todays standards are Pixar and Kingdom Hearts (Opinions may vary on the latter). Though I didn't see movies like the Princess and the Frog, I would've included the mainstream movies if I seen them.

Even though it didn't do so hot at the box office (Hey, at least it was no Mars Needs Moms), It's a good throwback to anyone who grew up with watching Pooh. Plus, there's a new 2D animated Mickey Mouse movie in development. If all the good audience reviews motivates them with the project even more, then I can say Disney Animation will make a comeback.

Maybe Disney will be careful and know when to not interfere with the creativity and quality that people Stan Lee, Jack Kirby, Paul McCartney, John Lennon, and others have worked so hard to acheive. Still, if the execs at Disney is using them the same way they did with the tween shows, music, and its stars, that justice-filled revolution may take shape sooner they can count their tween fans' money.
At least we have good memories. It's bad enough that Disney ignored us somewhere mid-2000s & catered to this ever demanding generation with overrated Jonas Bros, Hannah Montana, & HSM. But, then, now that they want to own Marvel and the Fab Four's music rights, Disney seems to be asking for trouble. They're now known to have zero quality. There are fans from both that think that they r going a bit too far. In a way, Disney is and if it doesn't get back some of its old magic, it may fall apart.

Exactly! There are people in our age group that know difference between worthy and worthless in art. What Disney is doing today is far from worthy and is so materialistically embarrasing. They seem to imply that Hannah Montana is better than Mickey Mouse when in truth, she doesn't have a damn thing on him. When people see him, they smile. When they see her, they cringe. He represents heart and virtuity of Disney.

I agree. I miss how Disney use to be with the great films. Btw, excuse my bad spelling in the last comment. Just last year, Disney announced that they bought Marvel Comics for $4 BILLION! Home of the greatest heroes ever like Spider-Man, Iron Man, X-Men, Hulk, Fantastic 4, and more. Then, they announced they were going to remake The Beatles' classic animated movie 'Yellow Submarine' into a 3D movie like 'A Christmas Carol' and 'Avatar'. The movie isn't meant to be made in that form! It's insane!

Exactly! Justice is probably the last thing Disney want to be attacked with if they ruin these wonderful, amazing things are part of pop culture. Someone said that if they see Mickey or one of the Jonases be Peter Parker/Spider-Man and/or Hannah Montana singing a cover version of 'Helter Skelter', Disney Co.'s days are numbered. So, they better be careful to not anger some fans or else sadly, we'll see copies of Disney classic movies being burned or thrown in the garbage. :(

Maybe Disney will be careful and know when to not interfere with the creativity and quality that people Stan Lee, Jack Kirby, Paul McCartney, John Lennon, and others have worked so hard to acheive. At least we have good memories. It's bad enough that Disney ignored us somewhere mid-2000s & catered to this ever demanding generation with overrated Jonas Bros, Hannah Montana, & HSM. But, then, now that they want to own Marvel and the Fab Four's music rights, Disney seems to be asking for trouble. They're now known to have zero quality. There are fans from both that think that they r going a bit too far. In a way, Disney is and if it doesn't get back some of its old magic, it may fall apart.

In my opinion, out of the 3 that went through the y2k effect(nickelodeon, catroon network, and disney), i think disney had the worst. It had great shows like gargoyles, darkwing duck, and tale spin, then it all changed when, tween barbie doll sitcoms spawned, and dumped all there good shows, the worst of them all is MILEY FRIGGIN CYRUS!!!! she ruined disney the most, heres my opinion for them, KICK miley's ass out along with there tween sitcoms kin, and bring back the cartoons.
