I have a DSLR, the Canon EOS 500D, but I have never even attempted to take that to gig precisely for the fact they ban them and are not allowed, and I wouldn't like it to be taken off me.

@earthangel34uk It's not a video camera, it's a digital camera. They put that on all tickets, sometimes on the front like for the May Monsterball, but mainly on the back. You're not technically allowed to video or take pictures as it's to do with copyright, but they let them in as long as they're not actual video camera's, or big SLR cameras etc. Just to be safe I shove mine in the bag that has my newly purchased merchandise in it as they don't check that but they check other bags.
