O yes, well you find there a lot of things and not only modern buildings... in my opinion Madrid is one of the best cities in europe.. but if you go to madrid take also a bus for a day to barcelona, it costs about 50 euros and you are able to visit the most importants coties in spain.

We went there in '98, and had a great time...the buildings were awesome, especially the leaning skyscrapers...good shopping too...
